creeping up the stairs, i know it's her
she's got the loudest feet in the world
i weigh more than her by some amount
but the way she carries herself, you wouldn't have thought so

up down, up down, her feet never leave the ground
stomping everywhere, make sure she makes a sound
she's got to be the center of attention, anywhere she goes
slam her feet up the stairs, everyone on Earth knows

how much she wants to leave, to never climb them again
but she does it every night, enters the bedroom without other men
she would make it loud and clear that she wants someone else
but because she only makes a sound in this house, oh she can't get help

settle down, if you want to leave, go ahead
there's nothing stopping you from abandoning my bed
i'll be okay, since i won't have to hear those thundering feet
maybe then, with her gone, i might get some sleep
