"Congratulations Shweta. We are so proud of you. You did it" My Dean said as soon as I entered my cabin in the morning.

He was there in my cabin surrounded by my other colleagues. As soon as I entered, they all blast a paper bomb with a signature smile on their face. What's with them?

I was totally blank when some of my friends came forward and hugged me tightly. Soon all my other friends joined, having a group hug while I was squeezed like an orange.

"Guys, hold on. What's going on?" I asked struggling to get out of the hug.

"Omg Shweta! We thought you are clever that you got it, but you are seriously so dumb!" My best friend said. I glared at her.

What?

"What are you all talking about?" I asked when they are released me from their tight hug.

They all stayed quite.

"Dean please enlighten me what's up with these idiots?" I asked my Dean pointing at my colleagues. Now it's their turn to glare at me.

They all glared at me and I just shrugged off my shoulders.

"Your project is a complete success Shweta. Your discovery of the cure for that poisonous drug is approved. Congratulations!" He screamed in a happiness.

Yayyyyy!

I stood in excitement while my feet were rooted in the ground.

Thank you God! I can't be more happy!

"D...Dean, is it real?" I asked him again to confirm.

"Yes you dumb head" one of my friend hit my head playfully.

I turned to her and hugged her tightly. She chuckled and hugged me back immediately.

This is really a great success in my career. I'm so happy that I'm going to save and serve the Indian Army. I can't express my happiness in words.

I hugged her tightly, closing my eyes. Happy tears flowed down from the corner of my eyes.

"Shweta, don't cry girl" Dean said and I released her from my arms.

"I'm so happy Dean. Finally my so many month's hard work has paid off" I said still not being able to digest my happiness.

"Congrats Shweta" I heard a voice at the door.

I saw Priya, Preeti, Kiran, Kavya with Pranav and my whole family there.

They all knew about it?!

Everyone barged into my cabin and once again I was pulled into a group hug.

"We are so proud of you princess" my dad said.

I smiled and my mom kissed my forehead. My brother pulled me down and kissed my cheeks.

"Way to go girl" Kiran patted my shoulder and hugged me briefly.

Priya, Preeti and Kavya also hugged the hell out of me.

"So Shweta, you'll be accompanied by Akshaya to the army camp in Kashmir" Dean said and handed me a letter.

It's a letter stating about the approval of my medicine and asking me to join as an army doctor to treat the soldiers. I am accompanied by Akshaya, my best friend, who has just completed her graduation.

I was beyond happy.

"I will definitely do my best Dean" I promised him and he smiled widely.

After few hours...

At Shweta's home

"Mom this is too much! I'm so full" I cried like a child.

"Shweta, stop acting like five. Complete everything. You didn't care about your health this past two months. You were neglecting your food and sleep working for this project and now finally you got it. So now you have to compensate for the diet you lost. So finish it off" mom ordered me. I nodded like a child and my devil friends burst out in laughter, sitting on the sofa enjoying their movie session.

I glared at them and tried to finish my food fast so that I can also watch the movie.

I came home after receiving my transfer letter to Kashmir. Dean asked me to take holiday for a couple of days before setting off as an army doctor. So I came home directly resigning from my job temporarily.

Now I'm being pampered (according to my brother) but forced (according to me) by my mother to eat a full course meal. I agree that I was careless about my health this past months since I was focusing on my medicine discovery and also Kavya's problems.

Well, now I'm being suffered!

"He's so hot!" I commented on my favourite hero Ranbir Kapoor when we were watching his latest movie.

I turned my eyes to see all my friends looking at me as if I have grown two horns in my head. I was confused with their look.

"What?" I asked casually.

They all shook their heads and we resumed the movie after I successfully completed my full course meal with much difficulty.

I wonder why they all looked at me so weirdly when I commented!

Is everything okay?

"Children! Enough of this. Go to your bed" dad ordered us.

We all burst into laughter. We are literally 25 and 26 but still dad orders is like we are 10.

We all nodded and stood up from the sofa to leave. I and Kavya went to our room. Yes, since when Kavya started living with us, we share a room. Priya also joined us and we three planned to have a girls night over after everyone sleeps.

Preeti and Kiran occupied my brother's room while my brother decided to sleep with my parents in their room.

Preeti and Kiran are engaged and we all know that they will stay in their limits. So we allowed them to stay together.

We all headed to our respective rooms.

Pranav was fast asleep by then. I miss spending time with him. It has been such a long time since I took him out and all thanks to my hectic work! Pranav and my 16 year old brother got along very well. My brother takes care of him very much and plays with him a lot. Since it's his summer break, he never leaves Pranav even for a second.

I, Priya and Kavya played a lot. We played chess, carrom and all kinds of indoor games. We even did make up for each other and took a bunch of selfies with stupid and funny poses.

This night was very well spent with my devils beside me. We had lots of fun. We cracked lame jokes and laughed our heart out. Finally we ended up playing pillow fight and my room was a complete mess.

It was almost 3am and we were exhausted. We promised to wake up early, at least by 8am and clean this mess. Finally, we dozed off at 3.10am.

"Shweta, Kavya and Priya! What have you done to the room?" Dad barged into our room and screamed at us, making us wake up with a startle.

"Dad, we are sorry" we said rubbing our eyes and sitting on the bed, half sleepy.

"I want it crystal clear within an hour. Fast" he said and left the room.

"Kavya, didn't you set the alarm?" I questioned Kavya coming out of my sleepy mode.

"Yes I did" she showed her phone.

I and Priya snatched the phone from her. We were shocked to see it's already 11 in the morning!

What?

We were supposed to wake up at 8!?

We checked the alarm and yes, Kavya set it. But it was our fault that we didn't wake up.

Sighing, we quickly rushed to the bathroom one by one and cleaned ourselves.

We soon cleaned the whole room. It took us a lot of time to clean all the cotton which was scattered everywhere in the room.

Finally we cleaned the room before lunch. We didn't have our breakfast and now we are starving. After cleaning our room, I rushed to the kitchen only to be welcomed by the delicious aroma of sambar (a south Indian dish).

I saw my mom narrowing her eyes at me. I smiled cheekily and quickly helped her setting the table for lunch.

I called everyone for lunch and we all settled down within five minutes on my constant nagging.

"Is your room clean young ladies?" Dad asked us. We three nodded our head and smiled lightly.

"You three are literally five. I wonder how you are going to handle your kids in future" mom said and we stole each other's glance, smiling cheekily.

My brother, dad and Kiran burst out laughing. These men! They never leave any chance to tease us.

Finally, we completed our meal and decided to go out in the evening. We planned to go to a beach and also boat ride.

The whole evening was fantastic. We enjoyed a lot. Having my high school friends with me along with my family was amazing. And most importantly, I felt nothing changed between us. Our friendship was the same and instill felt the same kind of vibe when we were in high school.

This thought made me realize that I still have some likeness towards Harish. Yes, I still like him. I don't know whether it's love or mere attraction.

I am unable to give a name to my feelings. And the worse part is does he even know that I have some feelings for him?

Does he too feel for me?

Am I the one who is still in his heart?

I wanted to ask him. I asked Priya about his whereabouts and was shocked shocked to know that he joined back in the army. He joined after Kavya's discharge from hospital and that's why he couldn't even come for Pranav's birthday.

He called Kavya on that day and always asks her to take care of herself and Pranav. I was shocked to know that he even asked about me once to Priya.

He's currently in some camp and we are unaware of his location. This is the worst part of being in army. Their family and friends don't get to know about their location unless they call is up telling about their location.

All my friends know about my crush on him. I think even he knows. If he knows, why can't he speak up directly with me? Even if he doesn't love me, he could have directly said it in front of my face.

I still don't understand him...

And he's still the same mystery...

And that is pulling me towards him...like a magnet...just like those older times...

I wish I can meet him just once...

And maybe confess my feelings too...
