He is back in prison?

Omg! Omg!
I'm so happy now!

What did he do now?

How did this come up suddenly?

I was in my thoughts when I heard Priya's voice.

"Good morning Kavya" she greeted as she entered Shweta's home where I'm staying currently.

"Hey Priya! Good morning" I greeted her back.

It was 10 in the morning and everyone is at work.

Uncle went to his office, Shweta to her hospital, Shweta's brother to school and Aunt to her regular club as it was an emergency.

So I'm left alone at home with Pranav. Aunt wanted to stay with me to take care of us but I forced her to go. Pranav is still sleeping.

I guess aunt told Priya to come here and accompany me since I'm alone at home.

I'm really very lucky to have them in my life.

Priya settled on the sofa near me while my eyes were glued on the television screen.

I heard her chuckling. I think she noticed my shock on my face.

"So how's everything going?" She asked and I clearly understood what she meant.

So without beating around the bush, I jumped to the point directly.

"Priya, Yash ....Yash is in prison?" I asked her.

"What can you see on the television?" She asked turning to the television.

I turned my face to look at it and once more happiness filled my heart.

I smiled.

"But....but how is that possible?" I asked desperately. I really want to know the answer.

"How am I supposed to know?" She answered looking everywhere but me, my eyes.

I know she's lying. She's my best friend since childhood and we know eachother's mind clearly.

"Priya stop lying" I said.

She turned to face me, disheartened.

"Fine. What do you want to know?" She asked me.

"Everything. How did this happen? Why do I feel that you guys are behind this?" I asked my doubt.

"It's because we are the one behind this" she said giving me a shock.

"What? What are you saying?" I asked her.

She finally gave in and told me everything. She told me how Shweta took this matter as her top priority and settled it. How her friend Aditya, assistant commissioner of police helped them. He raid his house in village and found out some hidden drugs. Thus Yash is in jail now.

"Wait, did you tell me about me?" I asked her with a hope that they wouldn't have said anything.

"Actually Kavya, we had to say some things to him. About you and Yash and how he is claiming Pranav. Aditya agreed to help us only when he came to know about your problem. And as an IPS he had to know everything. But I promise we didn't say anything about you except yours and Yash's relationship. We are sorry Kavya" she apologized to me.

What?

They said everything about me and him?

But why?

I thought I could trust them!

Why does this happen with me?
Now what will everyone think about me?

Tears dropped down my eyes.

Suddenly Priya shifted near me and held my hand.

"Kavya, I know what we did was not what you expected us to do. I understand you don't want anyone to know about this. But please try and understand. Aditya is an assistant commissioner and he wanted strong reasons when we asked him for help. Moreover he is a cousin of Shweta. Also there is nothing related to you in media. We hide it all from press and media. Please trust us and trust Aditya. Your secrets will be safe with us" she said wiping my tears.

Yes, she's right.

My name isn't telecasted anywhere. I'm out of all this message. Thank god no one knew about my relationship with Yash.

I'm not selfish but I don't want anyone to accuse me of my character and my child. They don't know about me,my family and my situation. This society just needs a hot topic for gossip. They don't give a f*ck about the person's feelings. They just need to speak any rubbish.

They don't know in what situation Pranav was born. If he's exposed as the child of a criminal, he won't be able to live in peace. Wherever he goes, he will be tagged as a traitor's son and I don't want that.

My friends know what I want more that I know myself. I wanted Yash to be out of my way and obviously he won't back off. So they put him back in prison. I glad they did so. I trust them. They will only Di anything that is good for me.

"I trust you all" I said smiling.

Priya smiled back and hugged me.

Shweta Pov

I was in my cabin reading a case study.

It was about an army man who's given a severe dose of a poisonous drug by the opponent when he was their captive.

Many more Indian army men were given similar drugs when they were a captive. But this particular man is already in a critical stage where the drug has spread all over the body.

This drug is a new invention and was never found to be in any part of India. Since it's source, the principal on which it works, it's cute or anything is unknown to us, we can't find any cure for that.

This is a serious threat to us, the whole nation and especially the doctors. Each and every doctor on this country is given a detailed case study of this drug and it's symptoms and is requested by the Indian Army and the Prime minister to try and find a medicine for it.

I'm trying to find the apt medicine for it since two months. I'm finding it a bit easy because I did a research on similar type of virus in my graduation.

I was constantly working on it and now I'm almost at the finishing stage of it.

I headed to my Dean's room since I have some queries.

I stood in front of his cabin and knocked the door.

"Come in" he ordered.

I entered the room.

"Good afternoon sir" I greeted him.

"Good afternoon Shweta! So how's the progress in the drug case?" He asked me.

"I have almost neared the end. O just have some queries to be clarified" I settled sitting on the chair opposite to him.

"What's that Shweta? Tell me, I'll help you" he said.

I asked all my doubts to him. He explained me everything in detail. Whatever I couldn't understand, i asked him again and he gladly thought me. Now I'm pretty clear with all the concepts and I got the clarity of my next step.

"Did you understand everything?" He asked me.

"Yes Dean. Thank you for your help. I'm sure now I'll be able to do it very clarification. Thank you so much. And I'm sorry for taking your lunch time" I apologized.

"It's ok Shweta. You are definitely a good doctor and I'm sure you'll be able to find the cure for that drug. And if you do so, it'll be an immense pleasure for us. You'll make us proud. So no need of sorry. Just do your best and I'm sure it'll give a positive result" he encouraged me.

That's my Dean. He always encourages me in everything I do. He's one of my well wisher and my guide. I always look up to him. His records and experience has influenced me a lot directly as well as indirectly.

At first, I accused him of being a part of Kavya's murder attacks. But later he proved himself to be innocent. I was very afraid to face him.

Later he himself came to me and appreciated me. I was shocked. Why did he appreciate me? He is supposed to be angry at me. In fact I was even ready to get fired and lose my job and thus I was preparing for interviews for other hospitals. But his reaction got me surprised.

He said that he is proud of me and my boldness. He said that he is surprised to see a doctor who is this much caring and protective towards their patients and even is ready to oppose the Dean of such a reputated hospital. He was very much moved by my courage and my dedication in my career.

I soon became one of his favourite juniors. He always gives me and my words priority and supports me everytime.

I sighed and entered my cabin. I took the case file and the other lab materials and went to the testing laboratory.

I lost my appetite and planned to skip my lunch. I was fully focused on my new medicine to nullify the toxicity of the drug. So many soldiers are at the death bed because of this and I have to save them.

They saved us many a times risking their own lives, not caring about anything. And now, I have got a chance to repay them which we all rarely get. I'm going to do my best and leave the rest to God. I'm strongly believe that if you do anything while heartedly with good intentions, you'll surely succeed.

I'm going to do this!
