"Did you find anything relatable?" I asked Preeti who was constantly staring at the box in front of her.

The box called computer!

She's an ethical hacker and is an expert in her profession.

I asked her to hack Yash's personal account details.

"Shweta, there's no such information which would help us" she said lifting her head after half an hour.

What?

"But how is that possible?" I walked to her table.

"Here, check it yourself" she showed me the desktop.

I scanned through all his account details and yes, she's right.

All his accounts are perfect. All his income and expenditure are proper with proof.

But how is that possible?

He is a traitor and obviously he would have done it for money....

Or maybe some land property or some materialist thing!

But now, I can't get any proof against him....

What does this mean?

Is he really a traitor?

Or

Circumstances made him look like a traitor?

But Kavya strongly believes that he is a traitor. And even her brother Dhanush said that.

But why am I not able to get any information against him?

What should I do?

He's come out in bail stating that the voice call recording is a fake one. Also considering his sincere service to Indian army and his position in society, he's given bail.

I, Preeti, Priya and Kiran had gone through the case file and everything was crystal clear.

We couldn't find a single loop hole in it. Frankly speaking, I found it very honest and true. Yash, indeed deserves a bail if the voice call is morphed.

And also according to what Kavya said to me, he wants to tell something to her but my stubborn best friend isn't ready to listen to him.

Of course I understand her. Losing your own brother who was there with you in every step of your life since your first breadth, is really a terrible experience.

Also it is unbearable to know that your loved one was never true to you and faked his identity. It breaks your heart when your loved one breaks the trust you blindly had on them.

That makes a person emotionally very unstable. I understand Kavya and her situation but at the same time she should at least give one single chance to Yash for letting him speak what he wanted to say.

He deserves a chance to speak up why he did so. Everyone in this world has their right to speak up their point of view, to share their feelings, to make others understand their position.

And Kavya should have given that chance to him.

Maybe the circumstances led him to be portrayed as a traitor.

Looking at his past records and achievements, I or in face everyone must agree that he is excellent in his career. He loves his mother land like anything in the world.

And I can't judge him just because these people submitted the audio proof. I didn't hear it though.

I still feel there's some strong reason behind his doings. But for now, his actions are wrong. He can't completely claim on Pranav. His doings aren't correct morally. I have to help Kavya and for that he has to be behind the bars.

I'm sorry Yash.

"Shweta, what to do now?" Priya asked me breaking my string of thoughts.

"I want to know about his family" I said. I really don't know why I said so.

His family had nothing to do with this but still I feel something is right in doing so.

"Kavya once said that his dad tortured his mom though they both had a love marriage" Right! Cool!

"Cool, search for his dad's information. I think this will help us somehow" I said and they all nodded.

I have to help Kavya...

After a couple of hours, I leaned back on my sofa rubbing my nape.

It has been hours but still I couldn't get any relevant information.

I sighed in grief. I have to do this.

I thought of taking a break. I went to my kitchen and made juices for all of us.

Since it's Sunday, all my friends are at my home. My parents took Kavya and Pranav outside so that they can have some peace. Thank god they are not here. We can execute our plan without any disturbance.

I took the juices in a tray and placed it on the table.

"Guys, let's take some rest" I said and they all stood up from their seats. We all settled down on the sofa sipping our juice.

"I don't think this is going to work" Kiran said.

"Me too. We have got nothing till now" Priya agreed to him.

"Come on guys, we have to do this" Preeti said encouraging us.

"But sweetheart, this is all useless. We searched for Yash's whereabouts, his past records and everything but we couldn't anything about his dad" Kiran answered to Preeti.

"Wait, where is his native place? Maybe we can search about his dad in the population records of that area" I said and they all looked at me.

"That's a great idea. I think his native is somewhere near Chennai" Priya said recollecting what Kavya told her.

"Ok then, I'll ask my friend who works in police department there in Chennai. I'll ask him to check if there is any trace of him or his dad" I said and lifted my phone to call my friend.

"Yea, that's a great idea" Preeti gave a thumps up. I smiled and dialled his number.

"Hey Shweta! Long time!" Aditya lifted the phone.

"Hey Adi! How are you? Yea, long time" I said with a smile on my face.

"I'm fine devil. How about you?" He replied.

Actually he's my distant cousin. Once his mom and dad visited us after years. They asked my hand in marriage with him.

I was stunned. I didn't know what to do at that time. I still somehow had that crush on Harish. I couldn't get over it though I tried hard.

I immediately called Adi. He comforted me saying that even he had his dreams to achieve and he hasn't thought of marriage yet. He promised that he'll talk to his parents regarding this. In fact he didn't even know that his parents came up with this proposal.

He kept his promise and no one talked about it after that. Soon we became very good friends. He achieved his dream of becoming an IPS last year. He was posted in Chennai as Assistant Commissioner. I was so happy for him.

Since my last year of medicine and my placement, I didn't talk to him as I was very busy.

"I'm fine. So what's up?" He asked.

"Adi, ac... actually I... I want some help" I stammered. I don't know whether it's right to ask him this.

"Hey Shweta, you no need to get tensed. Ask me anything. Is it's possible for me to do something, I'll definitely help you" he said.

"I want some information about Yash and his family"

"You mean, Yash Dattani?" He asked.

"Yes" I answered.

"Though I don't know why you want it, I'll still help you. Give me an hour time. I'll collect all the information and will call you soon" he said and we hung up the phone.

We talked about this for sometime. And suddenly after some time my phone rang.

I immediately picked up the call knowing it's form Adi.

"Hello Adi, tell me. Did you get something?" I asked him eagerly.

"Ohio chill devil. Yea I got some information" he said and paused.

"Continue" I barked. He purposely did this to annoy me. His nerve!

"Hahaha, you sound exactly like a dog" he laughed.

"Adi, this is pretty serious. Please help me" I said trying to control my rising anger. He always annoys me and though I get annoyed I must accept that he relieves me from tension and gives a smile on my face.

"Ok ok, I'm sorry. Yes so, Yash is in Indian army and is currently labelled as a traitor. He was imprisoned for almost a year but is out of bars now in bail" he said.

"I know that. Tell me about his family" I asked.

"His mom is in a village near Chennai. His dad is no more. He was a drug addict. He was also a drunkard. There were many rifts in their family and there was many times when his dad was arrested for creating public nuisance" he said.

What?

His dad was a drug addict?

"And also police department guesses that he was also an illegal drug dealer" he continued.

"What? Are you sure?" I said.

Priya, Preeti and Kiran eyed at me confusingly.

I switched on the loud speaker mode.

"Yes, we are sure that his dad is a drug dealer but we didn't get any information or any proof regarding that. And by that time his dad met with an accident and died on the spot and we closed the case" he said.

We all were in utter shock.

Ok, I guess this will help us.

"Adi, actually i think somehow his son will also be included in this. Since his dad was dealing with drugs, then there are possibilities that his son also might me involved right? Also Yash is a traitor now. He might have helped the opponents for something in return. Why can't that be drug?" I asked my doubt.

I looked at my friends who were looking pale.

I understood that it was too much for them to comprehend.

There was a pause. Adi didn't speak anything.

"Adi?"

"Yea Shweta. You are right. There are chances. I'll soon reopen the case. What you said is a valid point. I'll very soon check upon it" he said.

"Okay. Do is fast. I really want Yash back in prison" I said.

"But Shweta, why are you against him?" He asked.

Obviously, he's a police officer. He and his thoughts?!!  There's no point hiding it now. I have to tell him some day or the other since it's regarding Yash. So why not now?

I told him the whole story about Yash and Kavya though I didn't tell anything personal about Kavya except her and Yash's relationship. I told him how he is claiming Pranav as his son.

"Shweta, you can file a complaint against him right now also. He can't claim for his son. Since the child's mother is alive and he's a traitor, you will definitely win the case" he said.

"Yea I know. I did file a complaint. But I need strong evidence. That's why asking for your help. If you prove Yash is involved in this matter too, it'll be easy for us. We are actually trying to collect more proof against him" I said.

"I understand Shweta. I'll raid his house today only" he said.

"But Adi, what about the complaint letter. You can't raid a house just like that without any proper evidence" I said.

"Of course Shweta, I know. I'm an assistant commissioner in case you forgot. I'm just going to reopen the case which we closed years back. So I have all rights to do so. You don't worry" he said.

Yea, he's right!

" Ok then, let me know today itself. I really need to urgently" I said.

" I understand devil. I'm going to the spot right now. Happy?" He asked and I chuckled.

"Ok then, will see you soon." We hung the call.

"This is so cool. Now I got confidence. He'll surely go back to prison and Kavya will be in peace" Priya said.

Everyone sighed in relief.
