Caleb's loving gaze turned into a hatful glare when he saw me, I didn't blame him. Why would anyone want me? I wasn't pretty, before maybe, but after 10 years for mistreatment what could have been a beautiful woman has been turned into an ugly, scrawny, shapeless girl riddled with scars and bruises. I wasn't even treated like a human, heck even dogs were treated better than me, I was a slave, a mindless toy for others to torment, and I was sick of it.

"If your are just going to reject me then just do it already." I snapped. At first Caleb looked shocked that I spoke to him like that, then he got angry. He grabbed my collar and slammed me against the wall.

"Why did the moon goddess curse me with a mate like you?!" He growled in my face. 'I'm wondering the same thing buddy.' I thought bitterly.

"You're a worthless piece of trash, while I'm the future alpha!" My mate said. 'I could say the same to you' Shade retorted in my head, almost making me smile.

"So I'm gonna have some fun with you and this so called mate bond." He smirked.
