Taiga’s POV

I pressed my ear on the girls’ restroom as soon as I heard someone weeping. Wait, I recognized that voice… is that Kyo? To confirm, I knocked on the door, and called her name making the noise stop. “Kyo…? Is that you?” I wonder why she’s crying… she’s not the type to cry a lot or cry without any reason. There must be a problem. I waited there unanswered until I knocked on the door again. “I know it’s you. What’s wrong?” she’s still not answering. Maybe I should…?

T-Tch. What are you thinking Kagami Taiga?! This is the girls’ restroom! If Ame-senpai sees you, you’re DEAD.

But Kyo’s still not answering…

“Kyo, open up. Are you okay?” I continued to knock until the door slightly opened revealing a red eyed Kyo. So she was crying.

“Kagami-kun” she spoke softly trying to suppress her sobs. I was surprised when she hugged me and cried on my chest so I tried my best to comfort her by rubbing her back. “W-What should I do?”

What does she mean by that?

“A-Ame-ne will hate me…she’ll hate me…”

“What are you talking about? I don’t understand…” was my reply. Ame-senpai will hate her? For what? And for what reason?

Kyo pulled away wiping her tears as she stared at me with those swollen eyes. Damn, it hurts me to see her like this.

“Would you like to sit for a while?” I asked her and she nodded her head.

We sat on the nearest bench by a vending machine as I gave her a drink that can calm her down for a while. She was silent for a few minutes before she spoke again telling me the reason why was she crying.

“We’re leaving” she mumbled, staring blankly at her drink.

What?

“What are you talking about? Leaving? You’re leaving the team?” I questioned, confused. She shook her head.

“No. We’re leaving. My mom’s back from Germany, and she’s planning to take me and sisters with her when she goes back there. Together with her fiancé and our step-sisters” Wait, Hotaru-san is going as well? T-This can’t be… all of them are leaving? Even that Asami girl from Shutoku? And Kaede-san of Kaijo? Ame-senpai? K-Kyo… she’s leaving.

But when? And when will they came back? When will she come back?

 I was about to reach out my hand to her when she continued to talk. She answered every question inside my head. “We’ll leave around before the finals. I don’t know when we’ll go back though…” The finals?  But they’re supposed to watch the finals! They’re part of the team now! They should be there with us… to cheer us on…

“Kyo…” I noticed her eyes getting teary again as a tear rolled down her cheek and she started to cry.

“I’m sorry, Kagami-kun. I’m so sorry…” she started apologizing even though she didn’t do anything wrong. This isn’t her fault. “I-I don’t know how to tell Ame-ne… she… she’ll be parted with Kiyoshi-senpai… she’ll be sad again… I-I can’t afford to see her like that again!” that’s it, she broke down. I pulled her into my arms and she started crying on my chest. I soothingly rubbed her back, don’t know what to say. It’s not like it’ll stop them from leaving if I do.

“Shh, it’s okay. Ame-senpai’s your sister; she won’t hate you Kyo. Besides, it’s not your fault if you’re leaving. She’s not the only who’ll get sad but you too” I tried my best to comfort her. Damn it Kyo. Why is she crying over her sister being parted with her boyfriend? I’m not saying it’s bad but… won’t she miss anyone too? The team? Her friends? Or even… me? Okay, I admit it, I’ll miss her.

Kyo… she’s always cared more for her sister than for herself.

“But Kagami-kun…”

I hugged her tightly, not wanting to let go.

“Kyo, you’re strong. You can get through this. You’ve gone to so much pain, not only Ame-senpai. So please… just once… be selfish enough to think about yourself” I told her. I felt her stiffen when I said that I buried her face on my neck.

“I’m sorry” she uttered softly.

“And stop saying sorry will you? It’s not your fault” now, she giggled.

“Do I sound like Sakurai-kun to you now?” I chuckled at her remark.

“Yeah, so shut it. I don’t want to remember his apologies”

Kyo pulled away from me, a smile planted on her face. “Thank you for comforting me, Kagami-kun”

“Taiga” I snapped. “Call me Taiga”

“T-Taiga…?” that’s nice to hear from her. “Taiga-kun it is!” she smiled at me. .///.

“Kagami-kun, Kyo-san”

“GAH!” both me and Kyo jumped when heard a faint soft voice speak; almost like a whisper I you ask me. I’ve suffered from this everyday so I know exactly who can easily do this to us. “KUROKO!” “Kuroko-kun!”

“Domo” he casually greeted us with that icy blunt stare of his. I felt a vein pop as I grabbed hold of his tiny head wanting to crush it.

“Teme…” I growled gripping tightly so that his head would explode.

“Taiga-kun, stop it before you crush Kuroko-kun’s head!” Kyo scolded me so I had no choice but to let go.

“Tch” I huffed looking annoyed at Kuroko. He still looked at me emotionless.

“Captain is looking for you, Kagami-kun. And he looks really angry” Kuroko informed me that send chills down my spine. C-Captain…

I forgot that he told me to hurry up! Shit!

“Taiga-kun, are you okay?” Kyo looked at me as I sweat bullets.

“Y-Yeah, I’m fine” I stammered. “We should go back” I’m digging my grave. Captain will murder me.

“KAGAMI!” Captain kicked me at the head because it took me a while to come back. Hey! I comforted Kyo! Why did I have to get kicked after doing that?! “You teme! I told you to hurry up going to the restroom! What took you so long?!”

“Ah, well—” I looked at Kyo. I just couldn’t say that—‘Well Kyo was crying so I had to comfort her because she’s worried about her sister, Ame-senpai who if finds out that her mother’s back from Germany and is planning to take her and her sisters with her just before the finals and doesn’t even know if they’ll comeback or not’. Kyo will kill me if I said that. Ame-senpai will also kill me and Kyo. And Captain… he could kill anybody.

“S-Sorry it’s my fault!” Kyo took the blame, raising her hand. “I asked Taiga-kun to go help me with… uh… the girls’ restroom’s door wouldn’t open and I got stuck there so I asked help from  him when I heard someone walk by”

“Is that so?” Coach seemed to convince much to my relief. “I see”

“Thank you again, Taiga-kun” Kyo smiled at me as I felt my cheeks heat.

“N-No problem!” I replied smiling back. I was about to join the team in training when she suddenly grabbed my hand squeezing it. “What’s wrong?”

“T-Taiga-kun, I-I…” she wanted to say something to me but couldn’t because she was stuttering. I notice her cheeks are blushing red.

I just smiled at her. “It’s okay, Kyo. You can do it. I know you can. You’re strong” with that, I gave her a soft kiss on the forehead. “Well I’ll be practicing then, I’ll talk to you later” I wave goodbye leaving her astonished and blushing.

Kyo’s POV

T-Taiga-kun freaking kissed my forehead! >///<

Such filler. Yes xD hahah sorry for this filler chapter... but yeah... gotta put why Kyo was crying...
