Ame’s POV

“Mmm…” I murmured when I felt someone stroking my hair and brushing their finger across my cheek. It tickles a bit. I smiled with my eyes still closed knowing who was doing that, turning my body to the other side. I felt him chuckle, his breath tickling my neck as he leaned closer, whispering (sexily) at my ear. “Amei-chan, ohayo” I grunted in response, covering myself with the blanket over my head. I hear him snicker with him pulling the covers from me, as the cold air met my skin making me shiver. This isn’t the first time he’s done this to me. Pulling the blankets off me.

“Teppei...” I whined scrunching up my forehead glaring at him playfully. I eventually sat up but not to get up, but to attack him down the bed. “Why did you wake me up this early? Early bird” I mumble as he lied back on the bed, me lying on him.

“Sorry, but we still have practice today, Amei-chan, we should get ready” he said with a bright smile. I frowned at him, resting my head on his chest as he flipped me back on the bed and got up, pulling me with him. “C’mon, wash your face and let’s prepare breakfast!”

“I don’t cook!” I stubbornly grab hold of his bed’s end, fighting his tow on me.

“Then at least wash your face! You’ve got drool hanging out of your mouth again!” he didn’t have to point that out! I eventually gave in my grip and decided to wipe my mouth so he won that round and we end up stumbling on the floor. “Look what you did!”

“And it’s my fault?!”

“You’re hard to pull you know!”

“Not my fault!”

“Just go wash up already” I pouted at his final order because he put me on the floor to stand up and went to the kitchen—probably to get breakfast ready—leaving me on the cold solid ground. T-Teppei!!! Don’t leave me! I quickly washed up and ran downstairs as fast as I can and attacked Teppei a hug when he was frying up some egg roll on the pan. His face almost shoved onto the stove. “A-Amei-chan! Y-You almost killed me there!”

“Almost” I stuck my tongue out at him and giggled.

“Go sit at the counter and wait for your food!”

“No” I stated stubbornly and went to help him cook our breakfast. He was pretty surprised that I can do that only to receive a good hit on the head. He asked me why I didn’t cook for the team during summer camp but I only reply that I didn’t feel like it. I shrugged nonchalantly and before we knew it, we were already having breakfast together at their dining table. Our work looks good so we dig in after saying ‘itadakimasu’ and started to eat. “Ne, Teppei, where’s your family? Why are you alone in your house?”

“Ah, well my parents are at work overseas and my grandparents are staying at their province for some reason. Both of them won’t be home until next month” he answered.

“So you’ll be living by yourself until then?” I blinked thinking that must be reaaalll tough. Even Kaede and Nikki go crazy just by living in their dorm even though they have dorm mates. But I’m surprised Teppei hasn’t gone crazy living alone.

He gave me a smile and asked. “Why, does Amei-chan want to live with me?” W-What?! I gave him a glare which doesn’t affect him anymore. Instead of getting scared, he laughed. Damn he’s not scared of my glares anymore. Tss. I gave him a pout huffing, “No thanks”

“Aww, why?” he whined like five year old kid.

“Dude, what do you want me to do, leave my 16 year old little sister to live alone at our house?” I raised an eyebrow.

“I was just kidding”

I rolled my eyes. “Yeah…” after that, silence suddenly took upon us as if we didn’t know what to talk about. Should we discuss about our date last night? But that’ll only lead us into embarrassing stuff… like last night. HEY! Nothing happened okay? Just a few kisses were exchanged and hickeys I think. Damn it, innocent Teppei image, destroyed.

“Oh yeah, did you call Kyo about staying here last night?” Teppei inquired reminding me about contacting my little sister. I nodded and wondered where I put my phone last night until Teppei told me that I used that landline because I forgot to bring my phone again. “Kyo texted me that she sent Hotaru-san to bring clothes over to you”

“Why Hotaru?” I wondered, raising a brow.

“I don’t know. Kyo said she lived nearby” was Teppei’s answer. Furthermore, I started to talk about Hotaru and Asami, the Shou siblings and how we act towards each other. Them, being my step-sisters, I didn’t really treat them properly the first time I met them. Hotaru and I fought the moment we exchanged words with each other, while Asami has been paranoid being around me since she thinks I that I blame them for my parents’ divorce. And that’s when Teppei asked me about Hotaru and that I told him I went to Kirisaki Dai Ichi with her, and she stills attend the school after I got kicked out. I mentioned that she’ll be transferring to Seirin next year, I think, or in Shutoku if ever her father allows her to do so. And then it went further to Makoto.

Teppei asked me why I was with Makoto during after our victorious match against Yosen that I wasn’t able to talk to my auntie after that. He said Masako was looking for me after the game.

I quite wasn’t sure how to start so I explained about Reo first. The time when Teppei saw us together during the Touou match and at that time, we exchanged phone numbers while we were talking. And then it went to the all stressful Kotaro arc.

“Y-You and Kotaro saw each other?” he was pretty shocked about it as I nodded my head curtly, not knowing how Teppei would react with that. “W-What happened?”

“Well, at first he hugged me, then he was sorry, but then I slapped him so he backed away and said he’s sorry for all he did to me and tried touch me again but then I backed away and then he said he wants things to be the same again but I said no and then, Makoto appeared and dragged me out of the mess, the end!” I ranted and gasped for air because all that talking made my breath ran out.

I panted looking at Teppei’s face that looks like he didn’t even want to hear it. He looked somehow uneasy that I saw Kotaro again and that he knows what happened between us.

“He… he said he wants things to be the same again?” he repeated, not looking like he supports the idea. “How about you?” I was surprised when he asked me that and wasn’t able to reply until I grabbed hold of myself.

I gave me a sly smile. “Well I admit, things in past were really fun and I kinda miss it…

“But, I wouldn’t risk anything I have now with you, in returning the past. I’m satisfied with the life I have right now. The past was good, meeting you was better but going to the future with you is the best thing ever” with those words, Teppei leaned from the other side of the table to kiss me firmly on the lips. He didn’t say anything but just did that. Well, it’s not like I’m complaining or anything, I just kissed him back.

AUTHOR’S POV

“Amei-chan, you’re my girlfriend now right?” those words escaped Teppei’s lips as soon as it separated from Ame’s. Ame was a bit surprised at first but then smiled before pecking his lips.

“I’m all yours” she replied, pressing her forehead against his.

Their little scene was interrupted when the doorbell rang making Ame groan in annoyance as Teppei chuckled at her frown, pulling himself from her and went to check the front door. “It’s Hotaru and Izuki” he said peeking out the porch. He opened the door to greet his two, friends which Ame commented as “interrupters”.

“Hotaru-san, Izuki, ohayo” Teppei greeted them.

“Say good morning during a morning this good!” Shun punned giving a thumb up earning Hotaru’s palm covering his face to shut him up.

“Please stop with your punning, Shun-san” Hotaru pleaded trying her best to get violent towards him. She faced Ame who was standing beside Teppei and handed her the bag Kyo gave her to deliver to Ame. “Kyo put in your gym clothes and underwear there, all you have to do is take a bath”

“Thanks” Ame took the bag from her and smiled gratefully. Then her face turned into suspicion. “Wait, why are you two together?”

“I was on my way to Kiyoshi-san’s house when I came across Shun-san. Turns out his house is nearby” Hotaru explained. “And since I’m also going to visit Seirin afterwards, he offered to walk with me” 

Ame nodded vigorously with a mischievous smile. Hotaru raised an eyebrow. “What?”

“Nothing~” the couple sang, able to read each other’s look that they’re starting to think that there’s something between the two. “You too should go, interruption” Ame slammed the door at them, as they sweat dropped.

“They’re weird” Hotaru and Shun commented before continuing to walk to Seirin.

“And I bet they forgot about our practice time again” the eagle eye added, looking weird.

“Your coach is going to kill them. I’ve already arranged your new venue yet, those two are slacking off” Hotaru sighed.

“I swear, if I find out anything between Hotaru and Shun, I’ll—” Ame and Teppei’s conversation was interrupted while they were talking about the two when Riko suddenly burst the door open, dragging them inside.

“You’re late!” she scolded hitting the two on the head. Both of them winced in pain because of the strong impact on her fist. “Didn’t I texted you last night to be here around 10 am? Look what time is it! You’re 20 minutes late!”

Ame looked around and noticed that they weren’t practicing, instead just standing there, and waiting for them.  “Then why didn’t you just start practice without us?”

Riko hit her again. “I texted the details, didn’t I put there that Hotaru-san would let us go to their doujo train again? Did you read my text?”

“Wait… you texted me last night?” Ame scratched her head. “But I left my phone again…”

“I texted both you and Teppei” the female coach gave the centre player a glance. “And even if you did left your phone, it was in your house, you would’ve have read it. Weren’t you there last night?”

“Actually” Kyo coughed but before she could speak, Ame gave her a warning glare.

“I guess… I wasn’t paying attention with it” Ame reasoned her cheeks blushing.

“Whatever, we should head off there, Hotaru-san” Riko said as Hotaru appeared in front of Ame.

“Wasn’t paying attention” Hotaru tch’ed giving Ame a teasing smirk knowing why she wasn’t able to read Riko’s text. “What were you guys doing last night anway?”

“EH?!” Ame and Teppei blushed when she said that their eyes widening. Good thing no one but them was able to hear what Hotaru just said.

“Just you wait, Hotaru… I’ll bust you and Shun!” Ame vowed, her eyes digging into Hotaru’s back as she led the way to their doujo.

As soon as they arrived, they were interrupted by a sudden noise that seems to enter the building. Hotaru was about to check up on it when the door suddenly slid open revealing four familiar faces, and one unknown one.

“Akashi-kun” Tetsuya said seeing his former captain enter.

“Tetsuya?” Seijuro was surprised to see him there.

“Sei-chan?” Reo came behind Seijuro who followed in entering.

“Recchan?” Ame blinked seeing her childhood friend there too.

“Hana?”

“Oi, Reo, why did you stop—Hana?” a familiar face appeared next, following his teammates and one behind him too.

“E-Eikkun?!”

“Oi Muscle Gorilla! You made me bump onto your big furry back! Why did you stop?!”

“K-Kotaro?!”

“H-Hana!”

Shun turned to Hotaru with a questioning look and asked. “Aren’t we supposed to be the only one here?”

Hotaru face palmed. “Oh… about that…”

Guys!!!!!! I am VERY sorry for not updating for a week! my projects were just so annoooooooyiiiiiinggggg....
