Chapter 6
Today's the day, I'm finally asking everybody to be in my wedding. I'm asking the girls and Owen's got the boys covered.
I smile, and sit down on my couch. Jewel, Brycie, Kelsey, Fallon, AveryJade, Presley, Rowe, Ariel, Cheryl, Owen's mom, and Lucy, Owen's sister are sitting around me.
"I'm go glad you're all here," I sigh, "You've all been a spectacular part of my life, and this is just my way to thank you."
"Brycie, first I have a gift for you," I pull out the gorgeous necklace I bought. "Ever since my mom died, you've been the motherly figure in my life. I can't thank you enough for that. So here's something that's just a small token of my appreciation." I had her the box.
"Oh, my dear, it's beautiful," she says, reaching over to hug me. I hug her back, and smile. "I love you, Brycie. Thanks for being my mom," I whisper. She strokes my hair, "Thanks, sweetheart. I'm so glad you're my daughter." I can tell she's fighting tears. When we pull away, she looks at me with what I'm pretty sure is a mother's pride.
"Cheryl, thank you for taking part in raising the man of my dreams. I can't thank you enough for all that you've sacrificed for my Owen. As a small token of our appreciation for you, I got you this," I hold her bracelet up to her, and she wraps me in a warm embrace. "Mia, Mike and I have been praying for you for years. I'm so glad God picked you for Owen, and I know you'll be happy together," she tells me.
Next, I turn to AveryJade, my little sister. "AJ, honey, I'm so glad you're my sister. I've enjoyed watching you grow into a beautiful young woman, and that's why, even though you're young, I'm asking you to be my maid of honor," I say, holding up the necklace I got her. She smiles, "Mia you're the best! I love you so much!" I wrap my arms around her, "I love you too, sweetie. Thanks for being a beautiful little sister."
Next, I turn to Kelsey and Fallon. "I still remember the first day I met you guys. You made me feel like family. And since then, you've been my best friends, and some of biggest supporters in anything. I can't imagine my wedding without you guys." I pull out the gold bracelets I had specially made for them. "Will you be my bridesmaids?"
They nod, and throw their arms around me. "I wouldn't miss your wedding for anything, girl," Kelsey says. "It'd be an honor to be there," Fallon tells me.
I smile, and take two more bracelets. "Jewel, I haven't known you as long as I've known the others but I still want you to be with me on the big day," I smile, and hand her the bracelet. "You'll be my bridesmaid, right?" She nods, and embraces me in a hug.
"Lucy, I got you something a little different," I open the bracelet box I got her. She covers her mouth in shock, "Mia, it's beautiful. Thank you so much." I smile, and hug her, "No problem, Luc, you're the best!"
"Presley, I would like you to be my junior bridesmaid. Would you like that?" I ask, handing her a bracelet. She nods, "You're the best Mia, I love you." I hug her, "Love you too, dear. I've loved being your sister."
I take the last two necklaces I have and hand them to Rowe, and Ariel.
"I'd like you two to be my flower girls. Would you two like that?" Rowe nods, "When is your wedding, Mia?" I smile, "It's in the summer, Rowie. Are you excited?" Her and Ariel nod excitedly. "I'm so happy for you mama!" Ariel says, hugging me. I hug her and Rowe and smile. I've got my girls.
Owen's POV
The guys are all here. Chad, Caleb, Joey, Stephen, Jaxon, Jordan, Joshua, Josh, Alan, my dad, and my brother, Nick are sitting with me at Alan's house.
"So Alan and Josh, Mia wanted me to give you these to wear on the backs of your ties at the wedding," I say, pulling out the notes she wrote for them. They read them and smile. "She really thinks of everything, doesn't she Josh?" Alan asks. He nods, "Just like her mother."
"Dad, we got you this," I hold his engraved hammer up to him. He smiles, "Thanks son, I'll use it with pride."
I turn to Caleb, Chad, and Joey next. I know how much they mean to Mia, and I know she wants them to be a part of this special day. "So you guys are going to be my groomsmen. I know how much Mia loves you, and I want to thank you for taking such good care of her," I say, pulling out the Avengers cuff links we got for them.
Chad smiles at me, "Take good care of my baby sis." Joey punches my playfully, "I'm glad she's found her one." Caleb nods, "You make her feel loved. That's all we've been praying for for her. Somebody who loves her for who she is."
"Stephen, Jaxon, we got you some cuff links too. Hopefully you'll join me and be my groomsmen," I say handing them their gifts. Jaxon smiles, and claps a hand on Stephen's shoulder, "We wouldn't miss it for the world, right dude?" Stephen nods, "Yep, I'm with ya Uncle Jax."
Next is my brother. Mia and I talked about it, and we didn't really get him anything special, because I know these cuff links will make him unbelievably happy. "Nick, I want you to be my best man," I tell him. He takes the box, and attacks me in a hug, "Thank you so much Owen! This is an honor. I love ya bro." I laugh, "Love ya too Nick."
I take the two shirts we bought for Jordan and Joshua, and hold them out to them. "You guys are the ring security. You have to protect the rings, and make sure nothing bad happens to them. You think you can do that?" I ask. Jordan looks up at me and nods, while Joshua holds his hand up for a fist bump. I smile, and ruffle their hair, "I know I can count on you guys."
I've got the boys. Mia's got her girls, now we just have to pick a date, and plan the actual wedding and we'll be set. Hey, on the plus side, Mia has enough musician friends that we won't have to spend time looking for a band.
Mia's POV

I smile, mostly musicians. And my best girls from high school will be here. It's going to be a music-filled wedding, of course.
"Hey mom, what's up?" Stephen asks, coming up behind me. "Oh nothing really buddy, sending out wedding invites," I say. He smiles, "Mom, I've been working with Alan, and he's going to help me sing a song for you and Owen. Is that okay?"
I smile, "Stephen, I would absolutely love to hear you sing." He grins, "Good, because I have a feeling you're going to love my song choice." I reach over, and ruffle his hair, "I'm sure I will, bud."
My phone rings, and I press is to my ear. It's my agent, and one of my close friends, Pearl.
P- Big news, Mia!
M-What?
P-I got you an audition.
M-Oh my gosh Pearl, that's great! When is it? What's it for?
P-Calm down, girl. It's for the national tour of Cinderella. They're needing some more ensemble people, and it's in about three months. You're going to have to have a small song and dance number ready by then.
M-I'll work with Alan, and get one ready. Is the audition is Nashville?
P-No, but I'll email you all the details.
M-Thanks Pearl! You're the best! Talk to ya later.
I hang up, and I can hardly keep myself together. I'm squealing and dancing all over the kitchen, as I prepare lunch.
"Mommy, are you okay?" Ariel asks. I nod, "Yes, my little mermaid, I'm fine. I've just got an audition." Stephen smiles, "What's your audition for, mom?"
"A national tour of Cinderella. Not anything big, just ensemble, but if I get it, it would be fantastic!" I exclaim. They smile at me. "That's great mom!" Ariel says. I nod, "Yes it is, babe." The two of them go to play some Mario Sports Mix, while I call Alan.
M-Alan, I have huge news!
A-I already know you're getting married. I was at the proposal, remember?
M-Not that, ya goof. Pearl just called and I've got an audition for the national tour of Cinderella.
A-That's great, princess. But what's going to happen if you get it?
M-What do you mean, Alan? If I get it I'm going to accept.
A-The wedding, your kiddos.
M-You're right. Oh gosh, what do I do?
A-I'd say pray about it, lovely. Maybe see about some regional shows, you're more likely to get a lead.
M-Thanks Alan. I'll text Pearl, and ask her to look into some local ones. You're the best.
A-Love you, my Mia.
M-I love you too, bye.
I send Pearl the text and sigh, maybe I'll still do the audition, just for kicks. Theatre is something I haven't gotten into yet, and I still really want to.
I pull my computer onto my lap, and type three words into the Google search bar- Nashville Theater Auditions.

Again, I made a collage of the gifts given and received in this chapter. Hope you guys enjoy the chapter.
