DREAMS

Felix combed his fingers through his dark brown hair with one hand while using the other one to put his earbuds in, simultaneously trying to not drop his phone that was wedged between his rib cage and the crook of his elbow.

Once he finally feels like his hair was alright, even though he had blindly styled it, he grabbed his phone, still fiddling with the right earbud. Unlocking his phone, the brunet searched through his playlist for something he was actually in the mood to listen to. He hadn't gotten a lot of sleep the night before, so he needed something loud to drown out the annoying squeak of his combat boots sliding across the laminate tiling in the school hallways.

After a few minutes of searching and finding absolutely nothing, he just hit shuffle and stuffed the phone into the pocket of his hoodie, his face falling into his natural sour expression as he navigated himself towards his classroom, angry at both nothing and everything all at once.

Unbeknownst to the naturally annoyed teen, a group of four boys loitered on the side of the hallway opposite to the classroom he eventually slipped into. Three of the four were engaged in a discussion over psychics homework and where they had gotten their answers from, while the fourth watched eagerly as Felix stormed down the hallway.

"Why do you always do that?" Hyunjin's annoyed tone dragged Chan's attention away from the dark-haired male and to him instead. His eyes held a curious expression as he ever so slightly tilted his head to the left.

"What do I always do?" The blond pouted, slightly irritated that his friend interrupted his time admiring the beauty of the troubled brunet.

Hyunjin rolled his eyes, obviously picking up on how his comment had made the boy feel. "Stare at him like that, it's creepy. I'm pretty sure he'd punch you if he caught you."

Chan smiled. "Honestly, I wish he would, because then he would at least acknowledge my presence."

"He doesn't acknowledge anyone's presence, Chan. Get over it." Hyunjin replied, gripping the straps of his backpack tightly. It appeared that the discussion of homework was definitely over, then. "That guy hates everyone, including you."

Immediately after his friend's statement, Chan felt himself deflate emotionally. He knew about how Felix was, snapping at any and everyone who so much as breathed in his general direction, but his friends had truly grown the habit of making sure Chan could never forget it.

"Yeah. Trust me, I know." With that, Chan walked in the opposite direction of Felix's classroom, instead beginning to head to his own. Behind him, he could hear his friends begin to follow him.

At least Seungmin had decided to keep his mouth shut about the frequently visited topic of Chan's not-so-obvious crush on Lee Felix.

"Oh, come on, Chan. Don't be so down, you know it'll never work out!" Hyunjin called out from behind him.

"This again? You guys know that you don't have to crush Chan's dream everyday, right? Let the guy dream." Minho appeared out of what appeared to be no where, but in actuality had just emerged from the boy's bathroom. His backpack hung off his left shoulder as he caught up to be walking next to Chan, throwing an arm around his shoulders. "Don't worry, hyung, you have my support. You'll get him one day."

"Like how you think you'll end up with Han Jisung? This group is just full of unrealistic expectations." Seungmin finally chimes into the conversation, clearly taking the side of Hyunjin over Minho and Chan.

"Hey, Minho has a better chance with Jisung than Chan will ever have with Felix!" Hyunjin defended, looking at Seungmin. "At least Jisung talks to people."

"With people like you around, I don't blame Felix for keeping to himself." Minho snapped, leading Chan away to their classroom that they were thankfully both in. As soon as they were out of sight of the other three, Minho leaned in close to Chan. "Don't listen to them, hyung, they're just mad they don't have a Felix of their own."

Chan shrugged as the pair entered the classroom, proceeding to their seats before sitting down. "Whatever. It's not like they're wrong-"

"Hey, don't talk like that, okay? They are wrong, and one day you'll get to prove that to them." Minho smiles at his friend briefly before turning to look at the boy who had just entered. He smacks Chan's arm almost instantly. "Chan! Look!" He whisper-yelled before going back to staring at Han Jisung.

"He's been in this class all year, you know. You don't need to freak out about it everyday."

Minho leaned back in his chair with a wide smile. "And I still can't believe it. I swear I'm in a dream. A dream with Han Jisung."

"Isn't that all your dreams?" Chan chuckled, twirling his pencil in his hand.

Minho turned to the blond with a smirk. "Like how all your dreams have Felix in them?" He teased, poking the older's cheek.

"Shut up."
