Walking towards history class, I couldn't stop thinking about my encounter with Alice Cullen. It was strange how quickly I felt comfortable around her, but I knew I couldn't get too close. I had been hurt before, and I wouldn't go through that pain again.

Entering Mr. Sydney's history class, I ignored everyone staring at me and went straight to my seat at the back. I was thankful I didn't have to sit next to anyone.

I sat down and looked out the window, letting my mind wander... and that's never a good thing.

Rain was pouring heavily as she ran, her vision fading in and out. She had to keep going-they were coming. "Help, please, someone... anyone," she screamed, but her pleas were drowned by the rain. She knew no one would save her. She saw a light ahead-a house, safety. She was almost there. "Please, God, please..." She never made it. Her hope was crushed, just like her skull. But don't worry, her blood won't go to waste...

A hand on my shoulder startled me. My classmates were looking at me with concern and confusion. Realizing what had happened sent a cold shiver down my spine.

"Do you need to go to the nurse's office, Brandon?" Mr. Sydney asked.

"No, sorry Mr. Sydney, I'm fine," I replied, trying to steady my voice.

"Okay, then let's continue with class."

The feeling of terror and fear stuck with me for the rest of the class. Everything went by in a daze. I felt disconnected from reality, and a headache began to pulse through my body.

After class, I quickly walked down the hallway to my locker to put my things away. I closed my locker and turned around, ready to go to my next class, only to come face to face with Alice Cullen.

"Um, hi?" I stammered awkwardly.

Alice giggled, staring at me with such intensity in her hazel eyes. There was an emotion there that didn't make sense but made me want to reach out to her. I clenched my hands into fists, resisting the urge.

She looked at me with a fascination that startled me because I didn't remember the last time anyone looked at me like that-without lust, pity, or distaste.

We stood there, staring at each other, and it felt like everyone and everything around us disappeared. Time seemed to stand still.

"Hey, Alice... what's going on?" I asked.

"Hey, Brandon! Just wanted to know if you wanted to come sit with me and my family today?" she asked eagerly.

Alice looked at me with such hope. I was conflicted. On one hand, I already had enough attention at school and didn't need more. On the other hand, this could be a chance to get to know Alice better. Something about her made me feel complete... but that's exactly what I was trying to avoid.

I was about to reply when I felt a familiar cold shiver run down my spine.

Help me...

It felt like something, or someone was calling me. My feet moved on their own, the pull was too strong...

Come find me...

I vaguely heard Alice calling after me as I walked out the front doors and into the parking lot. The voice got louder and louder...

I'm here, please...

I walked past the parking lot and into the forest. The air was cold and heavy. It was too quiet-no birds, no sun shining through the trees, no movement. The shivers in my body worsened.

Here! Please! Help!...

Then I saw it. Over a broken tree trunk covered in moss lay a disfigured body of a woman-a woman I had seen in my dreams. Her eyes had a blue-gray film over them, her mouth open in terror as though something had terrified her before she died.

But what caught my attention were the bite marks on her neck... or what was left of her nearly decapitated head.

I scrambled back in fear. Not again... not again, why me? Why! I have to get out of here, I can't, I-

Please! Please don't leave me here!

The voice got louder and louder, repeating one word over and over until I couldn't bear it...

I screamed over and over until I became too overwhelmed. I began to lose consciousness, but one thing remained in my head-the voice that screamed to me, something that couldn't be true, something that didn't and couldn't exist...

The woman's voice stayed with me as I finally succumbed to the darkness, unaware of the Hazel eyes staring back at me...

Vampires! It was vampires! Red eyes...

As I lay unconscious, horrifying visions filled my mind. The darkness enveloped me, but vivid images pierced through.

I saw a young woman running through a dense, dark forest. Rain poured down, blurring her vision. She kept looking back, terror etched on her face. She stumbled and fell, her screams drowned by the storm. Shadows closed in on her, moving swiftly and silently.

Suddenly, I was the woman, feeling her fear and desperation. My heart pounded as I ran for my life, the cold rain chilling me to the bone. I saw a house in the distance, a beacon of hope. I tried to reach it, but something grabbed me from behind. A sharp pain shot through my neck, and everything went black.

The vision changed, and I found myself in a dimly lit room. Chains rattled, and I realized I was bound. A figure stood in the corner, their eyes glowing red. They moved closer, their presence suffocating. I felt their cold breath on my skin as they whispered, "You cannot escape us."

The scene shifted again. I was in a small, dark cell. The air was thick and stifling. I heard distant cries, full of pain and despair. I felt a searing pain in my head, like my skull was being crushed. Shadows danced on the walls, and I sensed the presence of something evil, lurking just out of sight.

I saw flashes of blood, twisted bodies, and lifeless eyes. The images were jumbled and chaotic, each more horrifying than the last. A woman's voice echoed in my mind, begging for help, her words filled with agony.

"Please... don't leave me here..."

The visions continued to bombard me, each one more chilling than the last. I saw figures with glowing eyes, sharp fangs, and blood-stained mouths. They moved silently, their intentions clear and malevolent. I felt their icy grip, their hunger, and their insatiable thirst for blood.

As the visions grew more intense, I struggled to wake up. The feeling of doom was overwhelming, like a heavy weight pressing down on me. The woman's voice grew louder, more desperate.

"Help me..."

Finally, I broke free from the darkness and opened my eyes. I wasn't in the forest anymore. I found myself lying on a comfortable leather couch in a home office I didn't recognize. The room was filled with bookshelves, a large wooden desk, and warm, dim lighting. The walls were lined with framed photographs and certificates.

I felt disoriented, unsure of where I was or how I got there. My heart raced, and my body trembled with fear. The visions were gone, but the terror remained.

I tried to sit up, but my head pounded with the remnants of the nightmare. The office was silent, except for the sound of my ragged breaths. I looked around, trying to piece together what had happened.

Suddenly, the door creaked open, and a familiar figure stepped inside. It was Alice Cullen, her eyes filled with concern. "Brandon, are you okay?" she asked softly, her voice soothing.

I struggled to find my voice. "Alice...what happened? Where am I?"

She walked over and knelt beside me. "You're safe, Brandon. You passed out in the forest, and I found you. I brought you to my family's home. This is my father's office."

I nodded, trying to process everything. "Thanks for helping me," I said, keeping my thoughts about the visions to myself. I didn't know Alice well enough to trust her with what I was experiencing.

Alice's expression softened. "I'm glad you're okay. You should rest for a bit. If you need anything, just let me know."

As I lay back down on the couch, a mix of fear and relief washed over me. I was safe for now, but the questions still lingered. The headaches returned, along with the sense of doom. This time, I sensed that this was just the beginning, but of what... I had no idea.

One thing was clear-I couldn't ignore what was happening to me. But for now, I needed to rest and gather my strength. The answers would come in time, and I had to be ready for whatever lay ahead.
