I finally arrived at school, and the feeling of doom only got worse. The pain in my head became unbearable. Ignoring it, I climbed out of my car and tried to block out all the girls calling out to me. I headed inside the school building, making my way to my quiet place-the library.

Walking into the library, I went to the farthest corner, where most people wouldn't find me. There was a small room with a built-in window seat that not many knew about. It was my escape from all the noise. I could be comfortable, relax, and get lost in my thoughts or enjoy the view of the forest. It was the perfect spot to read one of my favorite books, with the natural light pouring in and a peaceful view.

As I settled into the window seat, my thoughts began to wander. Why did I feel this constant sense of dread? The pain in my head was relentless, like a storm brewing inside me. I knew I had to push through it, but it was getting harder each day. I thought about my parents and how distant we'd become. It wasn't always like this, but things had changed. I missed the closeness we once had, but now it felt like we were strangers living under the same roof.

Despite the turmoil in my mind, the library offered a brief respite. I looked out the window at the forest, feeling a strange comfort in the trees swaying gently in the wind. This place was my sanctuary, a small bubble where the outside world couldn't reach me. I took a deep breath, trying to shake off the feeling of doom, and opened my book, hoping to find some solace in its pages.

I sat down and placed my backpack next to me. I grabbed my iPhone from my pocket, plugged in my red headphones, and let myself get lost in the sea of music.

I didn't know how much time had passed when I felt someone place their hand on my shoulder. Pure reflexes kicked in, and I grabbed their hand, quickly letting go because it was ice cold.

Removing my headphones, I looked up and found myself speechless. She was beautiful, like a fairy or a goddess, with stunning hazel eyes. But along with her beauty, that feeling of doom returned, and so did my headaches. Ignoring the pain crushing my skull, I grabbed my backpack from the floor and stood up.

"Was there something you needed?" I asked, trying to stay focused despite being mesmerized by her eyes.

She smiled, breaking my thoughts. "Sorry, I didn't know this space was occupied. Hi, I'm Alice Cullen."

Alice Cullen-a beautiful name that suited her perfectly. She held out her hand to me, and this was the moment my fate was sealed. As soon as I took her hand in mine and introduced myself, everything seemed to fall into place.

"I'm Brandon," I said, my voice steady despite the storm of emotions inside me.

Alice's presence was both comforting and unsettling. Her touch, though cold, sent a warmth through me that I couldn't explain. My headaches were still there, but they were overshadowed by the curiosity and intrigue I felt towards her.

We stood there for a moment, our hands still clasped, as if the world around us had faded away. In her eyes, I saw a hint of something deeper, something that connected us in a way I couldn't yet understand.

"Nice to meet you, Brandon," she said, her smile widening. "I hope you don't mind me sharing this space with you. It's one of my favorite spots too."

"Not at all," I replied, my voice soft. "It's nice to have company."

As we settled into the window seat, side by side, I couldn't help but feel that this meeting was more than just a coincidence. It felt like the beginning of something significant, something that would change everything. And despite the feeling of doom that lingered, I knew I had to follow this path, wherever it might lead.
