How to be a moody Vulcan
Oh. My. Fudge cakes. 141 reads?! This has got to be a dream!!! Thanks a million you guys! Anyhow, here's another chapter folks! As usual, I neither own Star trek, nor Spock (insert a cute pout that's so not mine, because mine are just freaky).
"Come here" Kathy whispered to Bones while motioning for him to move as she peeked around a corner.
"Phew, thank heavens!" Bones exclaimed loudly. "I'm so out of shape!"
"Hey, could you be louder, I don't think that cadet in coma in the med bay on the other side of the campus quite heard you" Kathy said sarcastically.
"Yeah sure- wait, a cadet's in coma?!" Bones said, oblivious to her sarcasm. Kathy pursed her lips and rolled her eyes.
Bones had a moment of realization as he eyed Kathy with a frown. "Stop being sarcastic."
"I'm not sarcastic" Kathy said sarcastically, with a sarcastic expression. Bones huffed lightly as Kathy jumped slightly and clapped her hands together.
"You have no idea how long I've waited for the perfect moment to say that!"
"Running from someone" Jim said suddenly, appearing out of the blue with a scowl on his face.
Kathy let out an inhuman shriek as she clutched Bones by the collar and pushed him forward roughly, rambling nervously.
"IT WAS HIS IDEA I HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH IT I WAS JUST AN INNOCENT BY STANDER AND A VICTIM LIKE PLEASE DON'T KILL ME IT'S NOT MY FAULT OF JESUS LOOK BEHIND YOU!!!"
Kathy rushed it out in one breath, and Jim immediately turned around. Kathy mentally patted herself on the back for her awesome acting skills as she bolted away, shouting back, "YOU SNOOZE YOU LOOSE!"
Bones winced visibly as he rubbed his year. "She just busted my ear drum..."
Jim had meanwhile taken to glare at Bones.
"What- seriously?! Do you actually believe her?!"
"Only you can do such stuff Bones! I mean, have you seen the girl! She's as innocent as a...a..." Jim struggled to find a word, as Bones completed his words sarcastically.
"A fox."
"But aren't foxes cunning?" Jim said, thoroughly confused. Now it was Bones' turn to purse his lips and roll his eyes dramatically.

Spock walked down the hallways of the academy, along with Pike. Their was a comfortable silence in the air, and neither one of them felt the need to break it.
That was until Kathy came by. Pike looked amused as he heard Kathy shout out something in a sing song voice, whereas Spock raised a brow.
Kathy's foot steps became louder as she neared the duo, almost bumping into them. She seemed to do that a lot, and was quite clumsy, Spock had observed. She looked clearly out of breath as she mumbled a greeting followed by a sorry, her voice filled with a rich, southern twang.
"I'ma sorry, Sir" She had said, hands on her knees. "Running again?" Pike said bemusedly, making Kathy blush sheepishly.
"Ah, Ah couldn't help it Sir, ah ran inta trouble again."
Pike merely smiled and ruffled her hair fondly, making Kathy smile at him with a look of adoration. It was a sweet moment, and for once, Kathy felt like she had a father, and Pike a daughter.
Spock stood aside uncomfortably, unsure of what to do, before speaking hesitantly.
"This cannot go on, cadet. You must exercise a certain amount of control, whether you choose the Vulcan way or not."
Kathy frowned, pouting unconsciously. Spock continued, assuming that she was listening to him (which she was, albeit reluctantly).
"Your mother and sister have also requested me to help train you, to a certain extent. Such behavior is not only unacceptable by Vulcan standards, but also by Star fleet." He paused for a moment, before turning towards Pike.
"The Captain agrees with me, don't you Captain?"
Pike looked like a deer caught in headlights for a moment, before regaining his composure and sighing.
"I kinda agree with him Kathy. Just do this, please... for my sake and if not mine, your father and your mother's sake."
Kathy did not know which mother the wise captain was referring to, but going by the look in his eye, it was Ana.
"Fine. I'll do it" Kathy said with a sigh. "When do we start?"
"Now" Spock said with finality. "M'kay, jus' gimme a' moment" Kathy drawled, making Spock frown slightly. "...Sir" She added quickly upon seeing the Vulcan's face (well, his eyes, which are quite expressive).
Kathy quickly removed her comm and informed Uhura about her classes, who promised to help her prank prank the boys next time.
"Do I even want to know?" Pike asked, making Kathy smirk.
"Yes, and no."
"Shall we" Spock said, to which Kathy nodded and did an exaggerated bow as the commander turned around, almost landing on her face in the process. Pike let out a snort, which Spock studiously ignored, as he led the cadet to his office.
Upon entering the room, Spock closed the door and turned to begin, only to find Kathy curled up in his chair, using it as a merry- go round. She caught him staring at her, and stopped immediately and got up, smiling at him cheekily.
I'll make sure that he's so fed up with me that he refuses to see my face...
Spock sat in his chair stiffly and pulled one of the chairs for Kathy next to him, observing the girl as she sat down.
"What knowledge do you have of Vulcans?" Spock asked.
"Umm... they are very moody?" Kathy said, unsure. Spock mentally sighed.
This was going to be a long, long class...
"So you will basically teach me how to be moody and broody, like a zombie" Kathy said after a moment of silence. "Hey, that rhymed!!!"
"We shall begin with meditation" Spock said, continuing as though Kathy hadn't said anything.
"Observe how I do it."
"So you will not be distracted, Commander?"
"Affirmative, Cadet."
"Please, call me Kathy, or Katherina at least."
"Very well then... Katherina" Spock said, making Kathy shiver because of the way he said her name. "I insist that you call me Spock, then."
"Okay, Spock" Kathy said, her face heating up. Spock watched the cadet, fascinated. Spock found the way she would rapidly change from being loud one moment, to sly in the other, cheeky in one moment, to shy in another; he found this aesthetically pleasing. Spock scolded himself mentally. He was mated, to the cadet's sister, nonetheless. Besides, it was against Star fleet regulations to pursue a relationship with a cadet.
"Erm... hello? Earth to Sock?" Kathy called out, waving her hand in front of his face, making the Commander snap out of it.
Spock stood abruptly, and seated himself on the floor, cross- legged. Kathy sat in front of him in a similar position, watching him raptly, forgetting that she was still in her uniform.
Spock close his eyes and began to meditate. Five minutes had passed, and Kathy was getting bored. An idea struck her as she grinned cheekily and crawled over to the commander, flicking his nose and diving back into her place in meditating pose.
Spock felt something touch his nose, making him snap open his eyes. His eyes immediately looked towards Kathy, who sat with her eyes closed, a small frown on her face as though she did not understand something.
Spock ignored it and closed his eyes. He felt someone flick his ear, and he jumped. Now, for those who don't know, the hands and ears of a Vulcan were highly sensitive. Spock felt tingly as he opened his eyes. Kathy was still in the same position, except for the fact that she seemed to have shifted closer and was breathing heavily, biting her lip.
"Focus, Katherina" Spock said. He watched as the girl jumped and snapped her eyes opened, a faint rose tint settling on her cheeks. "I'ma sorry, wha'?" She drawled, feigning confusion.
Spock raised an eyebrow but said nothing. "Continue, Katherina" Spock said. She waited for him to do the same, but he didn't. Kathy took a deep breath and closed her eyes, feeling uncomfortable.
She let out a frustrated sigh and opened her eyes, glaring at Spock, who was staring at her unabashedly.
"Spock, don't stare! It's unnerving!" Kathy said with a huff.
"You may leave" Spock said, gulping slightly.
"But Spock-" Kathy began, only to be cut off by the Commander.
"Leave now, Cadet, you are dismissed."
Kathy frowned but got up and leaned against his table, putting on her boots before walking out, adding a glum 'good day' on the way.
Spock all but slammed the door on her face, his breathing ragged. He had had the most inappropriate thoughts about the girl, and had almost lost control.
Spock hurried to his quarters, and lighted some scented candles. He dimmed the light to ten percent, and pulled on a pair of yoga pants, leaving his chest bare. He sat down and meditated, and stayed that way throughout the night, attempting to think about anything but the cadet's rosy lips and sparkling eyes.
I think I'm satisfied with the ending. How about you guys? Please comment and vote!
Love, Kit_Kat
