DO I LIKE HER...?? I wasn't expecting this question all of a sudden... What should I say...?? I can lie to others but how can I to myself...!! And to be honest to myself, I fell for her just at the moment I saw her for the first time... but I realized it when she was kidnapped... Just the feeling of losing her shattered me entirely... That was the moment when I realized what she meant to me...!!

I can't see her in pain and to know the cause for the pain she is going through I must tell this truth to Baba...

---- SANSKAAR'S POV OVER------------

Sanskaar walks and sits in front of SB who's already sitting on the bed...

Sanskaar: Baba... I don't know whether this is love or not... but the only thing I know is I can't see her in pain... Every tear from her eyes hurts me thousand times... I'm not sure how I got attached so much to her in such a short duration... but it was really beyond my control...!!

SB: (a painful smile appears across his face) Do you know Sanskaar... today she laughed after entire two years...??

Sanskaar: (shocked) Two years...?? I thought that she's like that only... I mean like a person who talks less, smiles rarely and makes less frnds... (holds SB's hands) Baba... I know there is something that happened with her... Please tell me... I assure you ... You can trust me...!! (gives a affirming grip on his hands)...

SB starts and Sanskaar's sits beside him...

------ FLASHBACK -------

SB: (takes a deep breath) Our Swara was never like she's today... She is nowhere related to me or Ganga... she just lived in our village... from the very beginning Destiny played a very cruel game with her and she lost her parents at the very tender age of 8 years... her father Krishnakant was my best friend... so she started addressing me and Ganga as Baba and Maa... we didn't have any child, so both of us loved her just like our daughter... After her parents died in an accident her chacha and chachi were asked to take care of her and raise her up... They brought her in... but her chachi never liked her unwanted entry in their family of four including their two daughters... she didn't even treat her as a human being... Her only frnd was their younger daughter Chutki... both were of the same age... but her elder cousin Anamika never liked her... she was just like her mother... They never wanted her to go to school... but Swara was much more intelligent than both her cousins... I got her admission done and that way she completed her graduation...

Time went by and 13 years passed like that... Swara never complained... Whether they gave her loads of work not allowing her to study... or gave her punishment for something she hadn't done... But as she grew up she became an epitome of Beauty with Brains in the entire village... She was the life of the entire village... The morning of each and every villager used to start with her Aarti which she used to sing in the temple every morning...

Sanskaar: (shocked) She used to sing Aarti... but I thought that she doesn't believe in God...!!

SB: She doesn't now... but she used to be the biggest worshipper of God in our entire village... and trust me she's a wonderful singer... Its about two years ago... It was about an year that Home Sunshine started and we shifted to Palampur... Ganga and I had some important work so we went to our village for two days... and just like any other day we welcomed the morning with the aarti in Swara's beautiful voice...

TWO YEARS AGO...

Swara is singing aarti in the temple...

Radhe Krishna ki jyoti alaukik

Teeno lok mein chaye rahi hai...

Bhakti vivash ek prem pujaarin

Phir bhi deep jalaye rahi hai...

Sudarshan Baba and Ganga Maa wake up hearing this... and they go to the temple to meet Swara...

(Krishna ko Gokul se Radhe ko...) x2

Barsane se bulaye rahi hai...

(Dono karo swikaar kripa kar

Jogan aarti gaaye rahi hai...) x2

They reach the temple and see Swara... she is wearing a simple pink and white colored Salwar suit... she is singing with the aarti ki thaali in her hand and her eyes closed... SB and GM join their hands to pray...

Bhor bhaye ti saanj dhale tak

Seva kaun nit name haamaro...

Snaan karaaye wo vastra odhaaye wo

Bhog lagaaye wo laagat pyaaro...

(Kabte niharat aapki ore) x2

Ki aap hamaari ore nihaaron...

(Radhe Krishnaa hamaare dham ko jaani

Vrindawan dhaam padhaaro...) x2

The aarti gets completed and Swara turns... she gets happy on seeing SB and GM...

Swara: (extremely happy) Areey... Maa Baba... aap log...?? (she touches their feet and takes their blessings)...

SB: May God bless u beta...!!

GM: And give you a husband soon...!!

Swara: Who toh mujjhe mil hi jaega...!! After all if I'm here then my Prince Charming must also be somewhere around only naa...!!

All three of them walk out of the temple while talking to each other...

GM: So, Swara beta... who will be your Prince Charming...?? How will you find him..??

Swara: Maa... my Prince charming will be entirely different from others... Handsome and dashing toh who hoga hi... but I want him to understand me... (suddenly her tone becomes serious)... He must support me in all the situations... I want someone who loves me with all his heart and soul...

GM: Offfooo... Seems like my daughter has grown up... now we should start finding our son-in-law...!!

Swara: Exactlly...!!

All three of them laugh... By that time they reach Swara's house... and see her chachi standing at the main door...

Chachi: Aa gayi Maharani...!! If your stroll is over then get moving... there is a lot of work left...

Swara: (to SB and GM) Okay Maa Baba... I'll come and see you in the evening...!!

Saying this Swara goes inside... SB and GM also leave for their house but they could continuously hear the loud scolding which Anamika and her mother were shooting on Swara...

SAME AFTERNOON...

A smart, handsome young man arrives in the village... Soon he becomes the center of attraction of all the young ladies out there... everyone tries to allure him...!!

Man: (to his PA) So, Mr. Sharma... this is the place...

Sharma: Yes Aditya Sir... this is the perfect site for us to set up the industry...!!

Aditya: I find this place appropriate to extend the branch of Kashyap and Sons... and even its outside the village so those freaking villagers won't be disturbing me...

His PA nods his head...

Aditya: Just do all the preparations... my frnds will coming in an hour or two... In fact I came for the outing only... You also know that setting the industry is my second priority...!!

Sharma: But sir at present this work is more important...

Aditya: (pats Sharma's cheeks) Nothing is more important than my personal leisure... do you understand...?? So now where I'm staying tonight...??

Sharma: Sir we have hired a house here only... all the preparations have been done... You n your frnds won't be facing any problem...!!

Aditya: Good...!!

EVENING...

Aditya and his frnds set out for a stroll in the village... they keep on passing comments on each and every girl they see... It's clearly visible that all are drunk... at some distance they see Anamika standing and talking with her friends...

Boy: Hey... look at her... the one in green dress...!!

Aditya: She is not so beautiful... I'm sure there must be so many girls prettier than her...!!

Boy: Come on Adi...!! Tujhe kaun sa usse shaadi hi karni hai... we just need some time pass...!!

They smile and give hi-fi to each other...

Boy: (to Anamika) Hello beautiful...!!

Anamika: (looks at Adi and thinks) Oh My God...!! He is talking to me... If I succeed in alluring him... my life would be infinitely better...!!

So, in that way all of them start flirting with each other... Suddenly Anamika sees Swara approaching in that direction...

Anamika: (to herself) Oh Shittt...!! Swara is coming this way only... If she sees me with them then I'll land into great trouble... (she thinks for a while and starts behaving as if the boys are teasing her)... What are you doing, leave me...!!

Boy: Excuse me...!! What happened to you all of a sudden...?? A minute before you were enjoying now what happened...!!

Swara sees this and runs towards Anamika...

Swara: Annu di... what happened...??

Anamika: Nothing Swara... Just take me to mom...!!

Swara: Okay... (holds her hand) Come let's go...!!

Aditya: (interrupts and holds Anamika's other hand) She's not going anywhere...

Swara: (angrily) Leave her hand...

Aditya: Actually... you are right...!! She's not that interesting... (leaves her hand and holds Swara's) You are far more beautiful than her...!!

Saying this he pulls Swara closer and moves his face towards her face... Swara feels uncomfortable and pushes him away...

Swara: Leave me... Stay away from me...

Swara turns to leave but Aditya holds her dupatta and pulls it off... Swara gets angry and slaps him hard in front of everyone... Anamika sees this and runs away... The boys are about to hold Swara back when SB arrives...

SB: What happened Swara... Is everything alright...??

Swara: Yes Baba... everything is fine...!!

Swara leaves wid SB whereas Aditya stares at her angrily and decides to take revenge for the slap...

Aditya: Toh Miss Swara... yeh thappad tumhe bahot mehanga padne wala hai...!! I'll make sure you definitely pay for it (saying this he touches his cheeks)...

SB takes Swara to his house... Its night and Swara is about to have her dinner with SB and GM when Chutki comes running...

Chutki: Swara... woh Maa...!!

Swara: (worried) What happened to Chachi...??

Chutki: She is not feeling well... she is calling you...!!

Swara: (to GM) Maa I'm going... I'll have dinner some other time... Now Chachi needs me... Chacha ji is also not at home...!!

SB: Wait Beta... let me also come with you...!!

Swara: No Baba... you stay with Maa... else she'll be alone...!!

Saying this Swara runs back to her home...

Swara: Chachi... shall I go and call the doctor...??

Chachi: No Swara... I have the prescription... just go and bring these medicines...!!

Swara takes the prescription and is about to go... when her Chachi calls her...

Chachi: Swara... go to the chemist shop near the chowk... you can find this medicine only there...

Swara nods and leaves...

It's been four hours since Swara left... Chutki gets worried...

Chutki: Maa... Swara di hasn't returned yet... its almost 11:30 pm... I'm afraid... I hope she's fine... I'm going to find her...!!

Chachi: (angrily) Kahan jaa rahi hai... Chup chap so jaa...!!

Chutki gets scared and goes to her room... she starts crying and dozes off...

Its almost 4:00 am in the morning when Chutki's sleep gets broken... and as soon as she wakes up she runs to Swara's room...

Chutki: (scared and worried) Swara hasn't returned yet... Oh My God... where is she...?? Maa se kahoongi toh wo phir se daantegi... What should I do now...??

She thinks for a while... and runs outside without telling anyone... she goes to Sudarshan Baba's home...

SUDARSHAN BABA'S HOME....

SB: What are you saying Chutki... Swara didn't return the whole night...??

Chutki: (nods her head and starts crying) Yess Baba... I'm very scared... is she fine or not...??

SB: Beta, you stay here... I'm going to find her...!! Where did she go...??

Chutki: (sobbing) She went to the chemist shop near the chowk...

SB: But why she went there... there is a shop nearby also...!!

Chutki: Maa asked her to go to that shop...!!

SB: Okay... we'll discuss this later... now I'm going to find her...!! (he turns to leave... GM calls)

GM: Rukiye...!! We are also coming...

All three leave... and reach near the chowk... they get shocked on seeing a crowd near the main chowk area which is the center of the village... Some unknown fear hits all three... they look at each other's face and get tensed... they all run there clearing the crowd... and get shocked...

Swara is lying there... unconscious... in between a pool of blood with blood oozing from her head continuously... clothes covering barely half of her body... GM runs towards her and covers her with her shawl... Chutki runs to bring water for her... Ganga Maa keeps Swara's head on her lap whereas SB tries to bring to her consciousness...

Suddenly, their eyes fall on a piece of paper near her body... SB takes the paper and reads it...

THIS IS HER PUNISHMENT FOR SLAPPING ME...!!

SB and GM get shocked on seeing the paper... tears start flowing from their eyes seeing their beloved daughter in such a condition... both of them hurry Swara to the doctor...!!

Friends don't bash me for such a terrible past for Swara... I'm just trying to show a hard core reality of today's society...!! That how its turning from bad to worse to worst...!! :(

But still we have some people who are making us believe in humanity... My story is just for strengthening the belief that love can overcome anything... All we need is to just believe in it...!! :)
