THEORY NINE
THEORY NINE
This theory is about what the new posteret of each Hargreeves member can mean.
---
The Fourth and final season is shaping up to be the most exciting chapter yet. Following the previous season's universe-ending time paradox, Sir Reginald Hargreeves reset the universe, leaving the super siblings alive but without their powers. Although they all went their separate ways in this new timeline, we already know that something will bring the Hargreeves back together one last time. They may not know exactly what that will be yet, but as always, the Umbrella Academy's promotional materials provide a few hints about what's to come.
Just 43 days before the final season's release, we may recognize as the number of special children born on October 1, 1989, for the Umbrella Academy's socials posted new character posters for the Hargreeves clan. Unlike the last batch, this set was posted in the Academy's numerical order, with each family member on a bench in a subway station with some props. All posters came with a social media caption that began with "one last" and ended with an emoji that matched the captions from the last set of Season 4 posters. Based on clues from the newest images, here's what we can expect from the final season.
---
LUTHER APPEARS TO BE AN EXOTIC DANCER
Luther gets his body back which explain the reason why the bench he is sitting on is bending. And he have earn a lot a money which explain the money in the space helmet. And under his poster it say "One last trip to the moon"
The first Umbrella Academy Season 4 poster included the hint "Luther returns home" at an unknown date.
Luther Hargreeves' poster has him sitting on the bench as it tilts under his weight. His pockets are filled with one-dollar bills, and there are more sticking out of the astronaut helmet next to him. His caption reads "one last trip to the moon," but given that the helmet looks more like a costume than the real thing, it seems Luther isn't an astronaut but rather some sort of exotic dancer. This is supported by the last poster, which included a dancing man emoji in its caption.
As silly as his astronaut costume may look in Season 4 trailer, perhaps this is Luther's way of reclaiming his past. He was distraught to discover that Reginald sent him to the moon for no apparent reason and carried the resentment from that realization for multiple seasons. That said, it'll be interesting if Luther learns that he was guarding Reginald's alien wife, Abigail, on the dark side of the moon.

DIEGO MIGHT BE A DELIVERY DRIVER BY DAY
In Diego's poster he is holding knives, sitting on the bench with his legs spread, there is a lot of boxes next to him at his poster say "One last slice and dice"
The first Umbrella Academy Season 4 poster included the event "Diego back in action" on an unknown date.
Although Diego wears his old vigilante ensemble from Season 1, another running theme in Diego's social media posts is packages. His newest poster, captioned "one last slice and dice," shows him doing the splits with a knife in each hand and a few boxes sitting in front of him. This echoes his last poster, which included a package emoji in its caption. The theme even continues in his wife Lila's poster, which features an open box of baby bottles in reference to their child.
Diego may still be a superhero at heart, but he has a family to support now, and I believe he's working as a delivery driver. He appears to have embraced fatherhood wholeheartedly, as the Season 4 trailer shows him happily attending a kid's birthday party. That said, out of all the siblings, he's also the most excited to be going on a mission again, and his new poster shares the same overeager energy.

ALLISON IS STILL PUTTING HER STAR POWERS TO USE
On Allison's poster it say "One last starring role' and next to her is there what looks like to be cleaning supplies, so that makes me think, is she the 'The cleaner'? or maybe she has her own cleaning company.
A script page from The Umbrella Academy Season 4's first scene portrays Drs. Gene and Jean Thibedeau attempting to purchase one of Allison's movies from a previous timeline.
Allison was a movie star in the original timeline, and it seems she still has some fame in the final timeline. Her poster comes with the caption "one last starring role" and includes a couple of "Scrub-A-Dub" brand cleaning products with Allison's face prominently featured on the label. It's still unclear what she does in this new universe, but it seems Allison has kept at least some of her star power.
After rebooting the universe in Season 3, Allison was finally reunited with her daughter Claire and even got to bring her husband from the 1960s, Raymond Chestnut back with her to the present. In other words, she has everything she wanted, and unlike her siblings, she's still a celebrity, though it's perhaps not as glamorous as being a movie star. Allison seems especially reluctant to be around her siblings in the trailer, so she likely won't be willing to rejoin the fold without a very good reason.
And like I mention earlier maybe she only joins them because Reginald ask her to. Because Reginald can be the reason Clarie and Ray came back and Allison might be on Reginald's side first, maybe voluntarily or by force, maybe Reginald is forcing her, using Claire and Ray as a weapon against her.

KLAUS ISN'T TAKING WELL TO MORTALITY
On Klaus' poster it say "One last cleanse' next to him is a gasmask. Klaus is wrap in bubbled wrap which can mean that he is sensitive and more fragile in season four since he is mortal now.
Klaus lost his tattoos when he was resurrected in the new universe, but he appears to have redrawn his "goodbye" tattoo on his left hand in his newest poster.
While most of the siblings are likely struggling without their powers, losing his immortality seems like it has hit Klaus especially hard. His new poster depicts him wrapped in bubble wrap with a satchel and a gas mask sitting by his feet. Combined with the shots of him hanging upside down and breathing into a paper bag in Season 4 trailer, these images seem to indicate that Klaus is in a fragile state now that he can't come back to life whenever he pleases. And it can mean that he is more careful with his life now, knowing that he wouldn't come back if he dies.
Klaus's poster bears the caption "one last cleanse," which could refer to his struggles with addiction. It's likely also connected to the title of Season 4, Episode 4, "The Cleanse," which may indicate a more spiritual connection since it comes with the description "There's not enough sage in the universe, apparently." Given the connection between Klaus's powers and his substance abuse, it'll be interesting to see how losing his powers has impacted his life.

LILA IS GOING UNDERCOVER AGAIN
On Lila's poster, we see her sitting down on the bench backrest on the left side, she looks kinda bored. She have a name tag that reads "Nan"
Next to her is the map from the trailer and a box with baby bottles. I think that Lila is helping Diego with the delivery when she is not taken care of their child which can explain the baby bottles on her poster.
(I think that the reason why Lila looks like that is because of something her and Five talk about in season 3 that none of them will fit into the normal life since they are from the Commission)
The last set of Season 4 character posters revealed that Lila's last name was now Hargreeves, suggesting that she and Diego got married.
Lila first met Diego while posing as a fellow patient in an asylum in 1963, and it seems she'll be going undercover once again in the final season as she was in season 2 where she was an agent from the Commission, but went undercover.
Her poster shows her wearing a name tag that reads "Nan," perhaps short for Nancy or another name, and is accompanied by the caption "one last disguise." Lila is also sitting by a subway map similar to the one she touches at the subway station in the trailer.
Despite no longer having her powers, Lila still has the skills she picked up while being trained by the Handler at the Commission. I think that the subway will allow passengers to travel to different timelines, so therefore Lila could be going undercover in another timeline to gather information. Even if she seems to have come to terms with her past as The Handler's adopted daughter, using these skills again after living a normal life with Diego could bring some things up for her.

BEN MIGHT CLASH WITH SANTA CLAUS
On Ben's poster say 'One last fight', he is looking evil and have Christmas light behind him.
The first Umbrella Academy Season 4 poster included the event "Ben released" on its timeline, but the year is unknown.
As some have noticed, Season 4 has a bit of a holiday theme that has carried over into Ben's character poster. Captioned "one last fight," Ben's only props are the standard black umbrella and some festive lights hung across the back of the bench. This aligns with the trailer shots of the Hargreeves family sitting in a room with a Christmas tree and a gun-toting Santa Claus, leading me to speculate that Ben might get into a fight with Santa, I think that would actually look so funny.
This theoretical fight might seem like a stretch, but given that the lights are Ben's only unique prop, it wouldn't be that surprising. Alternatively, the lights could be connected to the Hargreeves family gathering, and Ben's "last fight" could be against the Umbrella Academy itself, whose presence in his timeline destroyed the universe last season. Despite wanting to be part of the family, Ben could still hold some resentment toward them. So maybe Ben will turn against the siblings, believing that it is their fault that the universe ended last time.

FIVE & LILA WILL GO TIME-HOPPING
On Five's poster it say 'One last jump' which can mean that he use one last jump to go undo what Reginald did or use one last jump to save his family.
Also next to him is there files, plus he looks really relaxing.
The caption for Five's newest poster is "one last time jump" with a briefcase emoji.
These files can mean that he will be finding the Commission or they can mean that he is trying to work on something. Maybe trying to undo what Reginald did, trying to find a way back to the original universe, that universe they came from.
Another detail I gleaned from Season 4 trailer was that Lila and Number Five appear to be going on a separate mission together across timelines. Their latest posters further support this, as they're the only family members positioned on the left side of the bench. Furthermore, Five's prop is a set of files much like the ones from the Commission, and Lila has the subway map. As former Commission members (And maybe the only Commission members alive) perhaps they're the only ones who can navigate the time stream.
Five and Lila may have had their differences in the past, but they've also been willing to put that aside and work together when it matters. They already did so in Season 3 when they jumped to the Commission to find out more about the Kugelblitz. With the Season 4 trailer showing them back in the original apocalypse and Five hugging Lila while she cries, this duo's mission could be a veritable rollercoaster of emotions.

REGINALD IS GOING TO RESTORE THE ACADEMY'S POWERS
Reginald's poster say 'One last family reunion' which can mean that the family has to join together with him or he gather them for help and that can also mean that the siblings gets their powers back which can explain the marigold in the jar next to Reginald which we find out was the stuff that was in the family, the stuff that made them and gave them their powers.
Reginald's latest poster comes with the caption "one last family reunion" with a monocle emoji.
Sir Reginald Hargreeves has always been a divisive figure in his adopted children's lives, but as we may already know from Season 4's episode synopses, they will go to him for assistance in Episode 5, " Six Years, Five Months, and Two Days." I think that it mean that he'd be the one to restore their powers, and the poster reinforces this theory. Reginald's only prop besides the umbrella is the jar of marigold particles that he released in Season 1, creating the 43 babies.
Even though he raised them, there's still so much the Hargreeves siblings don't know about Reginald. They found out he was an alien in Season 3, and they didn't know about the other special babies in Season 2. With only one season left, maybe they'll finally get to discover why he created them in the first place. After all, Reginald will almost certainly have ulterior motives for restoring their powers that they'll want to know about.

VIKTOR MIGHT FINALLY SAVE THE WORLD
Viktor's poster say "One last chance to save the world" which can mean that he is going to sacrifice himself to save his family and the world. Viktor has a white rag on his shoulder which mean that he will be working at a bar.
The first Umbrella Academy Season 4 poster features the ominous event "Viktor taken" at an unknown time. (And like I mention in theory eight, Viktor will disappear, and that can mean that he might get taken by either Reginald or some new enemies in season four)
Out of all his siblings, Viktor seems most at ease in his new life as a bartender, which makes sense given how much time he spent living without his powers (Thinking he didn't had any powers). However, he may have a higher calling in Season 4. His poster gives little away, simply depicting him with a bar towel to indicate his new occupation, but the caption reads "one last chance to save the world." It would be fitting if Viktor saved the world this time, having ended it multiple times before.
Viktor might be the most reluctant to get his powers back, considering how content he seems without them and how destructive they were before. That said, the trailer already revealed that Viktor will have his powers restored, albeit with some slight differences. He may have struggled with his powers and everything that came with them before, but it seems Viktor will have to make peace with it for the final season.

BEN MIGHT BE THE KEY TO SEASON 4
Ben still takes the "Number Six" spot in the Umbrella Academy despite being "Number Two" of the Sparrow Academy.
Ben is a Sparrow among Umbrellas, and that's not the only thing that makes him stand out. Each of these posters includes a subway-style sign that reads "The Final Timeline," followed by a series of numbers and letters representing each character. While all the other signs start with the character's respective symbol and follow an ascending or descending numerical sequence, the numbers on Ben's sign are all mixed up. It doesn't appear to match any order from previous marketing materials.
Although it's a small detail, the show has been known to include subtle hints in the siblings' numerical order. It could be the order in which audiences catch up with them, the order in which the siblings get their powers back, or something else entirely. Whatever it is, it seems Ben will be the catalyst. With Episode 3, "The Squid and the Girl," seeming poised to finally explain what happened in the Jennifer incident, it looks like Ben will be central to the final season.
---
Also the numbers behind them change spot for every poster and Five and Lila are the only ones that is sitting on the left side of the bench while the others are all sitting on the right side, like Reginald, except for Diego who is sitting in the middle, other than it means what I mention above that they will work together and they are the only ones that have being a member of the Commission, it can also mean that Five and Lila are against Reginald and the others are not which is why Five and Lila are sitting on the left while the others are sitting on the right like Reggie.
