THEORY FIVE

THEORY FIVE:

The theory about Sloane, and Allison have something to do with her 'disappearing' at the end of season 3

---

A/N: This theory is something I have read while mixing it with my own theory.

(This was posted before the teaser)

This show the family together again, ready to take a shot "One last shot for old time's sake" Ben says before they all take a shot. Lila and Sparrow Ben are also in the group here, confirming they are now an official part of the Umbrella Academy team and thus main characters, but Sloane isn't included.

In the end of season 2, and in season 3 the Umbrellas landed in the wrong timeline, where Reginald never formed their team and instead, formed the Sparrow Academy, with six other superpowered people and Ben, who never died in this timeline. Among the Sparrow members was Sloane, whose superpower was gravity manipulation. She can gravity herself and others. She is also the kindest of the Sparrow Academy members and the only one open about getting to know the Umbrellas and forming an alliance with them, resulting in a heartwarming romance with Luther who ended up becoming her husband.

Sloane and Luther fell in love and got married during the apocalypse, but Luther was later killed by Reginald to force Sloane and the others into doing what he needed them to do. And that was going to the other side and find the sigil without tell them that they were the bells and he was going to use them as sacrifices.

And as we find out in the end of season 3, that Oblivion (that both older Five, Reginald and Pogo mention in season 3) contains a machine that can rebuild the universe should it ever be destroyed but the hotel had to absorbs life in order to power the machine to reset the universe. And the siblings are the only people that can power the machine because of the way they were born. We can see those orange particles that is in their bodies and is floating up to the ceiling which is the fuel.

And Reginald only had the siblings so he could used them as humans vessels and in the end to use them all as human sacrifices since he said that the particles inside the siblings' bodies are the only things that fuel the machine which is why he needed them. That is why he adopted seven kids because they were the seven bells and like Reginald told Ben. 'There must be seven'

Sloane, like the rest of the Hargreeves, was saved when Allison took over the machine at Hotel Oblivion, but while Luther was brought back in the new timeline, Sloane was nowhere to be found. Sloane was the only one of the surviving Hargreeves who wasn't shown entering the new timeline, and the others didn't reveal what happened to her or where she was at the end of season 3. Since we only see Allison entering her home, but we don't see where Sloane have end up.

Luther had gone through a lot in his personal life before meeting Sloane. Not only was he heavily experimented on by Reginald in order to save his life after a near-fatal incident during a mission in season 1, which left him with an ape-like torso, but he was also in love with Allison. The relationship between Allison and Luther didn't work, but his feelings for her didn't go away, even during season 2 when Allison married Ray in the 60'. It was only fair for Luther to finally find love and be loved in return, and I know that I'm not the only one that was happy that Luther found someone else, but the show couldn't give him a full happy ending.

Luther left his siblings at the end of season 3 to find Sloane who was not with them, but in the pictures and the teaser, he is back with his siblings but not Sloane, who is no where to be seeing in the teaser or the pictures.

So if Luther is back with his siblings without Sloane, it only means that he couldn't find her or, even worse, that he found her but she don't remember him or refused to go with him. Leaving him heartbroken. And I think that Luther might have made a potentially dangerous discovery while looking for Sloane that will require the help of the rest of the team, which is why he is reunited with them without his wife, but that doesn't mean he has given up on her. And maybe he is working or figure out a plan to get the love of his life back.

The first look at season 4 confirms that Sloane is missing which is why I think that Luther's search for Sloane may be a major plot point in season 4.

We don't get an explanation what could have happened to Sloane or where she could be, and therefore I have come up while also read some theories about Sloane in season 4.

One is that Sloane doesn't exist in this new timeline because Allison wanted it that way. Part of the deal between Reginald and Allison could have been having her daughter and Ray in the new timeline and getting rid of Sloane, further establishing herself as the other villain of season 3.

Maybe Sloane might be a prisoner at Hotel Oblivion or Sloane's marigold was used to bring Reginald's wife back.

Also another theory is that Sloane is alive, but her memory was wiped, which could have also been part of Allison's plan 'cause she didn't like that Luther was happy and she was not and he rejected her because of Sloane. And therefore she want Luther to feel what she felt in season 3.

Sloane could even be under Reginald's control in the new timeline. This theory also claim Sloane is not only powerless and had her memories wiped, but she's may now also working for Reginald, which is why she wasn't seen coming out of the elevator with the rest of the Umbrellas (minus Allison), Sparrow Ben, and Lila.

Sloane not having powers and not remembering anything from her past life/timeline can make her extremely vulnerable to manipulation, either from Reginald, who is now the most powerful man in the new timeline, or even Allison, who might have had something to do with Sloane's current condition.

Another theory is that Sloane is alive, but she won't be the Sloane that we all know. At the end of season 3, all the surviving Hargreeves plus Lila discovered they are now powerless (though it's unclear and unknown if Allison also lost her powers in the timeline/universe reset) and they also healed from all their wounds, with Five having his arm again, Diego having all of his fingers, and Luther having a normal, human body while also their tattoos are removed. I noticed that Klaus' tattoos are gone and I noticed that Five checked his left wrist only to find his umbrella tattoo gone too. And that might mean that both the Sparrows and the Umbrella never existed in this new timeline/Universe.

Sloane is also alive somewhere in the new timeline, and is living that life she was suppose to live if she didn't grew up at the Sparrows, but she's powerless and even worse, all of her memories are gone, so she doesn't remember being part of the Sparrow Academy, meeting the Umbrellas, and falling in love with Luther.

As I mentioned earlier, the current timeline in TUA was designed by Reginald, but it was finished by Allison. Reginald tricked the surviving members of the Umbrella and Sparrow so he could use them to power the machine inside Hotel Oblivion which would allow him to create a new timeline/universe exactly the way he wanted it. The only one who was safe from being used to power the machine was Allison, as she had made a deal with Reginald before, though the terms of it remain unknown. As the machine was taking the power and life out of the Hargreeves, Allison stepped in and killed Reginald, taking control of the machine and resetting the timeline herself, so she could have made some last-minute changes to Reginald's timeline and maybe that changes has something to do with Sloane.

Allison got what she wanted, and she now has her daughter, Claire, and her 60s' husband Ray in the new timeline, but it's unclear if this was part of her deal with Reginald or if she made those changes to the timeline herself. It's possible that Sloane's "disappearance" was also Allison's doing, and following her villainous turn in season 3, she could have kept Sloane in the new timeline but without her memories in order to get back at her and Luther, who turned Allison down.

So I believe that Sloane not being there with the others is something Allison planned.

As heartbreaking as it would be to have a Sloane who doesn't remember her past life in season 4, this would make Luther's final story in the series better. Luther's story in the show has been criticized since season 1, as he came off as an unlikeable character, but he has improved ever since. Season 3 gave Luther his best story yet, finally separating him from Allison and Reginald and giving him a story of his own through his romance with Sloane, while also leading his team into an alliance with the Sparrow Academy, proving why he's his team's Number 1.

Sloane's return without her memories would lead Luther to do his best to get her back and get her to fall in love with him again, but that can also distract him from whatever the team's mission in season 4 will be, adding more conflict to the Hargreeves siblings.

Whatever the case, season 4 must solve its Sloane mystery and give closure to her and Luther's love story, whether that means a tragic or happy ending.

I hope that Luther and Sloane will be together again and they will get a happy ending 'cause those two deserve each other.

Season 3 left the Hargreeves in the hardest position they have ever been in, as they are completely powerless and in a timeline where Reginald is the most powerful man, and they will have to discover what else changed in their lives with the timeline reset. It's unlikely the show will see its main characters without their powers throughout its final season, so they're expected to regain their abilities at some point – the big question is how.

I have read from one of the creators of the show that Viktor is probably the one siblings who is most comfortable in not having powers. He's doing better than any of the other siblings in termes of adjusting to his new life. He's the most accepting of their new reality. (I think it is because he spend his whole life thinking that he was just ordinary and therefore is use to not having powers)

Reginald's new timeline could have a flaw that the Hargreeves could use to their favor, or they could come across another machine that can let them travel through time and space, which is the subway. And that might help Sloane who has no memories. So that train might help her regaining her powers and help her remember who she really is, or it could turn her into an enemy of The Umbrella Academy if she's under Reginald's control. Like she is working for him.

The last season ended with major twist, a new timeline orchestrated by their family patriarch, Reginald, where the siblings no longer has their powers. This timeline presents higher the stakes than ever, with new enemies determined to erase them from existence. But how can they fight back without their powers?

I also wonder what happen to the other Sparrows members, are they also back and is powerless and just like Sloane, no memories of their past life/Timeline and is living that life they were supposed to live if they didn't grew up in the Sparrow.

Also how about all the other people who had died in season 1and 3.

Like, Patch, another version of the Handler, another version of Cha-Cha and Hazel, Agnes. Harlan. Sissy.

Are they all alive again but just living a normal life with no memories of their past life?
