Verbs - Present Tense

We will be conjugating verbs.

Let us use the verb "être", which means "to be".

When we are conjugating verbs, the conjugation changes based on our noun.

Être is an "irregular" verb, meaning that it follows it's own rules for conjugating it.

Here are our conjugations for Etre;

Je suis
Tu es
Il/Elle est
Nous sommes
Vous êtes
Ils/Elles sont

Our subject sentence can be "The chair is there".

In our last chapter, we established that our chair is "elle", so it will be "la chaise".

So:

"La chaise est là."
"The chair is there."
