Okay just a background, remember when Monu ran away from the academy, after her rejection from Karan, before he explained to her as to why he disagreed to her proposal!!!
Episode 97 to be precise!?! This one starts from there!!!

I know fandom puri tarah se tut chuka hain toh this one is from my side to help you'll cope with this pain!!!

This is based from that part, something different than what happened in the show!!!

(Note :- some of it will be in Monami's POV!!!! And in this Janab ji has already realised his love for Monami but he told her no because of his past!!! His brother's death!!! And one last thing - It's gonna be a longggggg OS)

Monami walked her way through the streets, tears flowing out like a tap left open, desperately searching for peace.

Yes, it was true. It was very True that Karan had rejected her and she had accepted that as a fact, But, the constant pain that her conscience brought into her mind stating the fact that she would never get anyone to love her was killing her from deep inside.....

All the past memories flooded into her brain as she reminisced about them One by one....

Him becoming friends with her, his care, his concern, the stand he took for her infront of her father.

She was so lost that even though she felt someone call her name, she didnt turn!!! She walked straight without turning to the left or to the right!!! Her tears didn't stop for a second and neither did she hold the courage to wipe them off her face!!!

Guess, tears were a part of her life and she had no escape from them now, she didn't leave her dream, her passion, she would surely fulfil it but just not here in Parakram SAF!!!

Everything pooled into her brain and clouded it to such an extent that she didn't see the car coming towards her.

As soon as Karan got to know that Monami is missing, he couldn't hold himself from going out and searching for her.....

He frantically looked for her in every nook and corner of the academy....
When he did not find her anywhere in the academy he pulled out his Jeep keys, and fled out onto the road. True he rejected her proposal, true he couldn't accept her because of his past experiences, true he was very scared to accept the fact that someone can fall in love with him. But that truly did not mean that he would risk her life to stay away from her!!!

He fled on the streets praying for only and only one thing - His Rani Sahiba's safety!!!

He searched for every possible area and finally stopped the jeep and came out. He hit the jeep's boot in frustration.

"Kahan ho Monami!!! Bas jahan bhi ho please safe raho!!! Pata nahin kyun par ek ajeeb si bechaini lag rahi hain! Aisa lag raha hain ki kuch bohot bura hone wala hain", Karan took a deep breath as all their memories flooded into his mind!!!!

"Hey You!!!"

"Hey Stay Out!!!"

"My point proven sir, Special Agent Karan Shergill ne 5 saal commando ki training li hain isiliye unhe haddiyan todna acche se aata hain, Maine 5 saal ki medical training li hain isiliye mujhe unhi haddiyon ko jodna acche se aata hain"

Karan's gaze shifted and his trance broke as soon as he heard honks, He looked here and there and saw a car honking at a girl....

"Wait is that Monami?", karan immediately started to run in her direction to pull her out of the way, screaming out her name in the middle "Monamiiiii" "Monamiii raste se hato" "Monamiiii"

But it was too late and all he heard was a 'CRASHHHHHH'

Monami moved her head slowly trying her level best to adjust to the bright light in the room. It slowly dawned upon her that she was in the Academy's Dispensary area!!! Wait!!!
Didn't she leave the academy?
Hadn't she run away?

Then what the heck is she doing back here!!! 

Her head hurt and so did her hand, she lifted it to find a drip vial attached to her while her hand was bandaged as though it was fractured, she touched her forehead and found a bandage on her head aswell. She looked here and there and tried to lift her other hand but felt a weight on it weighing it down.

She turned to find Karan sleeping next to her while sitting near the bed. He was holding her hand like his life depended on it!!!!

Karan sensed her moving and woke up as she tried to free her hand. He immediately got up and saw her, "Tumhe kuch chahiye"

Maintaining her cold behaviour she removed her oxygen mask and looked at him with bloodshot eyes and said, "Mujhe tumse kya hi chahiye hoga, ab tum bhi jaa sakte ho, yahan baith ke waise bhi tum time waste hi kar rahe ho toh tum jaa sakte ho"

"Main kahi nahin jaa raha, Yahi hun! Ab yeh sab chhodo aur batao tum kya khaogi waise bhi do din se iss drip ke through survive kar rahi ho, Kuch solid khana nahi hain kya! Come on get up Rani Sahiba!!", He looked tired and worn out, like he hadn't slept in days, his eyes had bags under them, his hair all shabby and his voice low. "Was he here since the last two days", Thought Monami as he helped her sit up straight on the bed.

"Tum ruko main khaana lekar aata hu", Saying so he walked out without giving her a chance to respond. Sid entered in and immediately hugged Monami in a bone-crushing hug.

"Thank God Monu Bro, tu thik hain, Pata hain kitna dara diya tha tune. Aise chhod kar kon jaata hain, aur kamini raaste par chalte wakt tune aankhe band kar liya tha kya? Andhi hain kya tu ya phir tere brain ki screws loose ho gayi hain. Agar Karan sir waha nahin hote toh pata nahin aaj kya hi ho jata. Do din se behosh padi hain, main kitna dar gaya tha pata hain tujhe. Aur mujhse bhi zyaada toh dole shole bro dar gaye the.", Monami's eyes widened at each statement, Karan saved her, Karan was scared for her.....

"Tujhe pata hain inn do dino mein Karan sir ka sara free time unhone yaha bitaya tere paas Raat ko bhi he was here, Maine bola ki main ruk jaata hu but unhone mujhe apne uss angry glare se bahar bhej diya aur khud tere paas raat bhar baithe the, Aur toh Aur Kal afternoon se he has not eaten a morsel of food. Sanjana ne koshish ki, Faizi sir, Ustad ji yaha tak ki hum cadets ne bhi koshish ki lekin unhone ek niwala tak nahin chua", Monami now felt guilty from snubbing at him in the morning.

He had been here with her from the last two days and had not eaten anything nor slept properly as well and she, She like an idiot snubbed at him!!!!

Sid continued to blabber of all the things Karan had done which differed from his usual behaviour ever since he had rejected her!!!! He then spoke of how he and Sanju were growing closer!!!! How they both left together to search for her!!! How she assured him they would find her!!! But, on the contrary, the person lying on the bed was lost to be precise in her own thoughts!!!!

Monami's POV
'Oh god Monu you're such an idiot, itni stupid kaise ho sakti hain tu, already tune apna pyaar confess karke, friendship ko bhi get out ka notice de diya tha, Ab bacha bas ek rishta trainer aur cadet ka usse bhi tune khatre mein daal diya!!! Main Karan ke pyaar ke bina jee sakti hu lekin uske bina! Par wo toh mujhse pyaar hi nahin karta na, toh phir wo mere liye itna kuch kyun  karega! Ek cadet ke liye khaana peena chhodna!!! Kahi woh bhi mujhse pya.... Nahin nahin aise nahin ho sakta wo.... Usne toh uss din khud hi bol diya tha na ki wo mujhse pyaar nahin karta, lekin care karta hain. Par yeh care hain ya sympathy, Yeh toh mujhe pata Hain ki wo mujhse baat karneki bohot koshish kar raha hain, lekin kyun!!! Is it because he is guilty for rejecting me, or has he started to feel for me???? Main iske actions ko kya samjhu!!! Ughhhhhhhhhhhh..... Yeh Khadoos Shergill itna complicated kyun hain, school ke maths paper se bhi complicated, open heart surgery se bhi complicated, neuroendocrine cancer se bhi zyaada confusing, Fibonacci spiral ki sequence solve karna iss nariyal ko decode karne se zyaada easy hain, main hamesha apne aap ke liye kabar kyun khodti hu!!! A knock on the door broke my long list of what ifs!!! Sid finally stopped his blabbering and both our eyes turned towards the door!!!

There he stood looking handsome as ever!!!

I decided to maintain a straight demeanor and turned my gaze away from him!!!

I felt him sigh and enter, Sid immediately got up and told his infamous "Inge punge" line before vanishing into what seemed like thin air!!!

Right now!!! I wanted to commit a murder!!! Yes!!! Monami Mahajan kills her own conscience!!! What a headline would it be!!! Then I realise I have only one conscience!!!!

"Kuch khaalo Monami, phir dawaii bhi toh leni hain", he sounded quite cool

Maintaining my ever so iron coated demeanor I glared at him and spoke up, "tumhe kya hain main Khanna khau ya na khau!!! Tumhe kya hi hain!!! Sir please, aap hi ne kaha tha we are cadet and trainer toh kya aap apne saare cadets ke saath aise behave karte hain"

"Shayad nahin..... Mujhe pata nahin par abhi tumhe yeh khaane ki bohot zarurat hain tum abhi bhi weak ho Monami and tum toh doctor hona toh apna dhyaan kyun nahin rakh sakti ho!!! Please zidd mat karo aur khaa lo phir main tumhe pareshan nahin karunga!!"

'This time I agreed with it!!! His eyes showed the guilt he had when he looked at my condition!!!

"YEH SAB KYA HAIN KARAN!!! KYUN KAR RAHE HO YEH SAB, YEH JHOOTI HUMDARDI KYUN DIKHA RAHE HO!!!! I KNOW TUMHE KUCH FARAK NAHIN PADTA MERE JINE YA MARNE SE!!!"

Zindagi jiske saath baanta tha, woh toh hamesha ke liye mujhse dur ho gaye!! Jaanna chahti ho na ki maine uss din tumhe mana kyun kiya woh isiliye kyunki maine mere zindagi ko Puri tarah se apne desh ke liye samarpit kiya hain!!! Main pyaar ke layak nahin hu Monami!!! Main jisse bhi pyaar karta hu, woh mujhse dur ho jata hain Monami!!!! Kuch saal pehle ek mission ke dauran maine apne bhaiya ko kho diya!!! Apne aankho ke saamne maine unhe maarta dekha hain!!! Main unhe bacha nahin paya Monami!!! Aur meri wajah se Bhabhi.... Bhabhi apni zindagi mein akeli reh gayi!!! Baby toh abhi bhi andhere mein hi hain!!! Dar lag raha hain, aaj agar tumhe kuch ho jata na Monami toh main khud ko kabhi bhi maaf nahin kar pata!!! Jaan nikal gayi thi meri jab maine wo crash suna!!! Jab maine tumhe uss taraf jaate dekha!!! Jab mere bulaane par bhi tum nahin hati waha se!!! Luckily zyaada chot nahin hain warna Aaj main pata nahin kya hi karta!!! Kisi kareebi insaan ki Maut ko kareeb se dekhna asaan nahin hota aur especially tab jab wo insaan aap ke liye bohot mayne rakhta ho!!! Aap ke liye matter karta ho!!! Jab aap unse bohot zyaada pya----"

'Yeh abhi abhi kya bolne wala tha, was he about to say that he love---- nahin Monu no more jumping to conclusions!!! I still fought back but only this time to hide my tears hearing his pain!!!'

"Karan yeh tum kya keh rahe ho, itna sab kuch---"

"Please Monami, main iss baare mein aur baath nahin karna chahta please!!! Mujhe tumhe batana tha maine bata diya so please ab aur baat nahin. Tum please khaana khake dawaii le lo"

His voice broke my trance, "Monami please ab zid mat karo aur kha lo please!!! Mere liye na sahi toh apne liye!!!! Please"

I took the plate and started eating!! He got up and was about to go when I stopped him, he turned and raised his eyebrows in confusion!!! I gestured him to sit down and he immediately did so too!!!

Guilty Shergill is obedient and submissive!!! Nice 😊😊

This thing can't shut up!!! Anyways I gestured him to grab a bite and he.......... Uh well he was still being mister ever so clueless!!!

"Mujhe itna sab kuch suna Diya, lekin apne aap ko kuch bhi nahi bologe!!! Doctor hu, tumhe dekh kar hi bol sakti hu ki tumne bhi kuch khaya peeya nahin hain!!! Kha lo phir jaha bhi Jana hain chale jao!!!"

"Kha lunga Monami, Pehle tum khalo, Mujhe kuch kaam hain main wo khatam kar ke aata hu! Important Kaam nahin hota tho main nahin jaata"

Karan walked out and I broke down, I couldn't help it. Karan kitne dard main hain aur main, maine sirf usse aur zyaada guilt mein daal diya, this was not what your love should've done Monami.....

Authors POV
Karan walked out and closed the door, he lent back on the door and heaved in a huge sigh, as though a big pillar got off his chest!!! Tears filled his eyes
He knew it, he loved her. He realised it when he saw her in the accident. He couldn't seem to come to terms with the fact that she would be gone forever away from him. He couldn' t bear to even think how would he be when she won't be there. But now he was scared, scared to tell her cause he had rejected her, he had said no to her, he had broken his Monami and now nothing absolutely nothing would bring back his Monami. So, he decided to not tell her anything, not a word about his feelings, but he couldn't afford to bear her hatred so he decided to tell her the reason of his rejection and end it then and there.

Two weeks passed and Karan continued to take utmost care of Monami's health, from staying up whenever she had high temperature, to making sure she got full comfort when she needed something. With any free time that he had in hand he would go to check upon her and even spend his nights at the dispensary. Out of all these new changes in his approach and behaviour, one thing remained the same - they didn't speak. It's not like they didn't want to, they definitely did want too but they couldn't. They couldn't face each other, 

She couldn't see him after the way she had snubbed him, without knowing his side of the story. She felt she had forced her love on him and she couldnt bear that thought

He couldn't face her knowing the fact that he would loose control if he spoke to her and share all his feelings. To most people their reasons would seem baseless and stupid but for them it was their current situation and condition.

Two weeks later

Monami had recovered and was getting ready to join for drills today. This entire week she had suffered seeing him yet not talking to him but then what she heard the previous night changed her mood entirely.

Flashback

Karan was in his room busy doing some weekly paper work, where as Monami was sitting on her bed, continuously glancing at the door and waiting for him desperately. He came everyday and had his dinner with her but today Sid joined her for dinner. It was already way past her bedtime and she was really sad thinking he didn't want to see her as from tomorrow she could return to her daily drills and duties normally as she was alright and had also recieved confirmation from the doctor. These two weeks have been extremely amazing for her, Surely they didn't talk but having him near her bed all night holding her hand and sleeping there was making her feel Loved and Cared!!! 

The warmth of his forehead pecks that he did in the morning assuming she was still asleep were the best start to her day. With him feeding her as her hand was fractured and also forcing her to eat her medicines with his infamous glare not to mention that was the only time he spoke to her, Them talking to Baby, the way he patted her head and put her to sleep, the way he nursed her wound on her forehead and arm.... To her it was nothing short of a time in heaven....

Her memory lane visit stopped when she heard someone open the door, she immediately closed her eyes and laid back on the bed. Karan walked in and saw her sleeping, he smiled and covered her in the bedsheet...

He sat next to her and pecked her forehead, held her hand and smiled. He placed a soft kiss on her hand sending shivers down Monami's spine.

"Pata hain Monami", He started off, "Mujhe kabhi bhi yeh nahin laga ki mere liye zindagi mein apne desh, duty, family, faizi, sanju, academy se bhi zyaada koi mere liye maine rakhega, par tum rakhti ho Monami Bohot zyaada Maine rakhti ho!! Tumhe uss gaadi ke saamne aate dekh kar mere rongte khade ho gaye the!!! Jaan nikal gaya tha mera. Thankfully uss din tumhe zyaada chot nahin laga tha lekin uss incident ne ek baat thik se samjha diya mujhe ki main tumhe kho nahin sakta, chahe kuch ho jaye. Kyunki..... Kyunki.... I.... I LOVE YOU MONAMI,,,, Main tumse bohot zyaada pyaar karta hoon..... Aur main shayad yeh baat tumhe kabhi nahin bata paunga, tumhara dil todne ke baad mujh mein himmat nahin hain tumhe yeh baat bolne ki... Maaf karna mujhe main tumse ek bohot badi baat chupa raha hu par trust me main chah kar bhi tumse share nahin ar paunga!!! Aaj tak jisse bhi maine apne paas laaya hain woh mujhse dur ho gaya hain. Tumhe bina batakar main jee sakta hu par tumhe batakar, tumhe kho du yeh main nahi kar sakta!!! I'm sorry Monami!!! I LOVE YOU AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO TILL I DIE BUT I DON'T THINK IT IS IN ME TO TELL YOU...."

He pecked her forehead and was about to go when she held his hand tightly, after what she heard she wanted him near her all night. He smiled and sat down and dozed off right there itself....

Flashback ends

Monami finished her drills and walked up to Karan's room. She was determined to get him to confess today no matter what!!! She entered it and locked it.

Karan was bewildered at the sight he saw!!! He was baffled and had no idea as to what was going on... "Uh... Monami tum yaha.... Kuch chahiye kya tumhe?"

"Mujhe, mujhe jo chahiye woh toh mujhe mil gaya and ab main bas confirm karne aayi hoon"

"Kya???"

"Yahi..... ki...", She stepped forward and he stepped backward till his back hit the wall. His hands in his pockets and confusion and doubt clouding his thoughts and his face... She snaked her arms around his neck and stepped closer.

"Dekho Karan tum hi ne sikhaya hain, baatein ghumana ab mujhe bhi pasand nahin hain so directly puch rahi hu. Do you Love me?"

Karan was baffled, awestruck, surprised and what not. She did not just ask THAT question, did she?

"Uhhh Monami maine tumhe pehle hi bataa-", Monami caught him by surprise again by placing her finger on his lips

"Sshhhhh!!! chup chap sach boldo Agent Shergill!!! Woh kya hain na maine tumhari kal raat ki confession pura sun liya tha so dont you think you can lie to me Khadoos Shergill. So tell me, DO YOU LOVE ME KARAN SHERGILL?"

He was caught now, with no place to escape to, She heard everything and now he coudn't lie....

Having no choice, he just nodded.....

"Words Shergill Words. Use Words!!!"

"Monami...."

"Hmmm"

"Monami I......"

"You...."

"Monami main... tumse"

"Tum Mujhse...... Kya????"

"Main tumse bohot zyaada"

"Tum mujhse bohot zyaada..... Kya??? Karan come on bade bade missions ko toh anjaam de dete ho woh bhi itni asaani se, lekin 3 shabd.... 3 shabd nahin bol paa rahe ho tum.... chi chi chi kya Karan tumne mere pyaar ko na ek pedestal par khada kar diya...... I'm disappointed to the core"

"Dekho Karan, Main tumhare liye tumhari strength banna chahti hu. I agree tumhe dar hain ki mujhe kuch ho jayega, lekin tumhe pata hain mujhe wo dar nahin hain, kyunki main tumpar apne aap se bhi zyaada bharosa karti hoon. Mujhe pata hain mera pyaar mujhe kuch hone nahi doge!!! Ek baat kaan kholke sun lo Special Agent Karan Shergill, tum aaj woh 3 shabd bolo ya na bolo, ek baat clearly jaan lo that I will always and I mean it always love you. Ab baari aur decision tumhari hain!"

Karan kept mum, Monami's face fell and her arms snaked off his neck, she turned to go and  walked a few steps when she felt him hold her hand..... And thats when she heard what her ears were dying to hear......

"Itni jaldi jaa rahi ho, Jo baat sunni thi wo toh sun lo!!! You're right! Yeh decision mera hain and I have decided to tell you that Ms. Monami Mahajan, I... Love you! I really really Love you"

Monami smiled and turned, "As much as I know, tum toh nahin bolne waale the na"

"Kya karu? Mann badal diya.... Aaj pehli baar itne saalon mein dil ki sunke accha lag raha hain. I hope tum..... disappointed nahin ho"

"Disappointed!!! Nahhh!!! bilkul bhi nahin, Toh ab jab bol diya hain toh reply bhi sun lo I... I..... I......."

"You???"

"I....... don't love you too Khadoos Shergill", Saying so, she tapped his nose and ran away but not before winking at him.....

"Monamiiiiii!!!! Not fair Rani Sahiba!!!! Not fair!!!!!"

"Itni asaani se nahin!!! Bohot pareshan kiya hain ab tum bhi jhel lo!!! Catch me if you can Agent Shergill!!!" Monami ran and this time Karan was not going to step back.
