Before the killing school life

You were in a hurry, you had to get to work on your first day in 3 minutes and you were far away. You were rushing as fast as you could but ran into someone.

You

"Jeez! What the hell's wrong with you?! Watch where you're going!"

When you looked upward, you saw a tall boy wearing formal clothes with other people enclosing him. 

You

Who is he? Japan's next president? "Listen, I'm in a rush so get out of my way."

???

"First of all, you should watch where you're going. Second of all, you're in my way."

You

What's up with this guy?! He makes me so... He makes me so fucking angry!"

You carelessly rolled your eyes and sustained moving to where you were obliged to go.

You

"I'm so sorry! I-I promise not to be late next time!"

Servant

"It's alright, Master Byakuya is not here yet. So I wouldn't consider you late."

You

"Master Byakuya's his name?"

Servant

"You know, Byakuya Togami of the famous Togami family?"

You

"Right..." I have no idea what she's talking about. 

Servant

"Ah! He's here!"

Your jaw completely sank when you saw who this "Master Byakuya" was.

Servant

"This is Y/N L/N, our new servant."

Byakuya

"Yes, I know."

Servant

"Oh, you know each other?"

You

...

Byakuya

"Not exactly. This is the person who bumped into me and told me to watch where I'm going. They said they were in a hurry."

You

"I-I'm sincerely sorry! I didn't know you were Byaku- M-Master Byakuya!"

Byakuya gawked at you, you evaded eye contact. He sighed.

Byakuya

"My room is a bit of a mess right now. Please clean it up."

Servant

Master Byakuya? Messy room? Is that even possible?

You

Huh... I didn't know a guy like him could've gotten his room messy.

You carried the vacuum and travelled to Byakuya's bedroom.

You

This is his bedroom?! This is the size of my living room! It's probably even bigger than my living room!

Byakuya

"What are you staring at? Get cleaning."

You

"Sorry..." How mean... He should consider being more nicer to the ones who work for him.

You killed the next 20 minutes cleaning his surprisingly untidy room.

Byakuya was a little shocked, no other servant of his has cleaned that fast.

Byakuya

"Please dust off the library."

The library was enormous, but you endured.

After 20 minutes, you finished. 

Again, Byakuya was quite astonished.

The library had no trail of dust.

Byakuya

"Oh... Well, the kitchen does need some cleaning."

You

It's almost as if he's dirtying the place on purpose! With all these other servants, this place should always be clean!

You sighed and began going down the stairs.

While Byakuya was ordering some files in his room, he heard and felt the whole house shake.

Byakuya reacted by running down the stairs, looking for where that shake came from. After hearing you cry out, he ran toward the kitchen.

Byakuya

"What the hell is going on here?!"

And there he saw it, his kitchen on fire, and you caught and surrounded by it. The fire circled around you.

All of the other assistants hurried to get the fire extinguishers and requested a fire truck.

Servant

"Master Byakuya, Y/N is trapped in there!"

Byakuya

"Give me that!"

Byakuya seized the fire extinguisher from one of the servant's hands and commenced firing it toward the fire that was around you. Sure, the kitchen had many expensive items that have been burnt and destroyed, but that didn't matter.

The fire soon went out with the aid of the fire truck that came presently after you called.

Byakuya

"Y/N, are you alright?"

Byakuya ran over the burnt bits of the kitchen floor and held you.

You looked frightened. Very fearful.

You

"Y-Yes, I'm okay..."

After a short stillness, Byakuya spoke.

Byakuya

"What happened? How did the kitchen get set on fire?"

You

"Someone... Threatened me. If I didn't tell him where you were, then he'd do something horrible. I didn't know that he'd do something so horrible as exploding a room in your house."

Byakuya

"Y/N, you should've just told them where I was. I don't want you- anyone getting hurt."

You

He cares about me?... That's a first.

Byakuya helped you up, holding your hand. He and you both then discerned your hands were locked together, then soon let go.

Byakuya cleared his throat.

Byakuya

"I shall let the ambulance take care of your minimal injuries. I have something to do."

During the killing school life

Byakuya was not fond of everyone who was involved in this killing school life, but there was one distinct person that he was truly okay with for once. They had quite the equal concerns as Byakuya, and would politely respond to his requests. They'd also do helpful things for him, although he never ordered her to. Not only did they do nice things for Byakuya, but also nice things for everyone else.

Byakuya

"Ugh. It reeks of blood in here."

Byakuya said, entering Makoto's bathroom and viewing Sayaka's corpse.

You

"Here, I've brought masks for everyone. It isn't healthy to breathe around dead bodies."

Byakuya

"Thank you."

During the times where things appeared imminent, he'd protect you and only you.

You

"Why do you protect me?"

Byakuya

"You're useful."

You

"Is that... The only reason there is? Nothing more?"

Byakuya couldn't respond to that.

Toko

"M-Master Byakuya, you p-protect them but you c-can't protect the others?!"

Byakuya

"Y/N, Makoto, and I are certainly the only useful ones here. Take note that not saying your name was intentional."

Sometimes when he'd protect you, he would even carry you close in his arms, leaving Toko in burning envy.
