This will take place in Hope's Peak, before the tragedy.

Ibuki wants you to perform in one of her concerts, so she invites you to her studio to learn to play the guitar. You didn't have much of a choice, so you just accepted it.

"Uh... What's that chord called again?"

Ibuki

"Y/N, seriously?! We just talked about it a minute ago!"

You

"Hehe, sorry... I'm not really good at this stuff, so should I just go?"

Ibuki

"No, no, no! You've gotta perform at this concert! I've already got a super cool look for you!"

You

"Oh really?"

Ibuki

"Yes yes yes!"

You

"Well, I really can't say no to that..."

Ibuki

"Hooray!"

You two rehearsed the chords for her new song.

It was going well until you abruptly stopped in the middle of the song.

Ibuki

"Eh? Why'd you stop?"

You

"I... I can't get this part right... I'm sorry."

Ibuki

"Hey, it's okay! As long as you keep on trying, then you and Ibuki will do awesome on stage!"

You

"Yeah... I gotta use the washroom. Where is it again?"

Ibuki

"Just go down the hall and it should be on the left."

When you arrived, you sat down on the bathroom floor and curled up into a ball, dissatisfied with yourself.

Why can't I get anything right? Ibuki says the chords are easy, so why can't I get it right?

*Knock knock knock!*

Ibuki

"Y/N, you doing okay?"

You

"U-Uh, yeah! Just finishing up here..."

Ibuki

"Alright!"

You exited the restroom and turned left down the hall. Something appeared in front of you after you made the turn.

Ibuki

"Boo! Haha!"

You didn't respond the way you usually do.

Ibuki groaned.

Ibuki

"Alright, what's the matter Y/N?"

You

"I can't get the chords right... Are you sure you want me to do this? Maybe you should get Sayaka to do this instead... She's better at this type of stuff."

Ibuki

"Nooo! You, and ONLY you, may do this! Now come on Y/N, Ibuki promises that you will get better! Ibuki also promises that she will be here until you get it right and until you're proud of yourself!"

She squished both of your cheeks with both of her hands.

Ibuki

"Beeeeeeeeee happpyyyyyyyyyy!"

Her upbeat demeanour lifted your spirits, and you were inspired to pick up the guitar once more.
