This will take place during the killing school trip.

You had admired Akane when you first saw her since she was a gymnast. Gymnasts astounded you by doing incredible body tricks. She felt very special because you admired her so much. She was grateful that you were able to make her feel that way. When she's around, you're normally inspired to do your best. You, Akane, and Nekomaru have all been a fantastic friend group that all pulls together.

Akane

"Hey, Nekomaru, have you seen Y/N anywhere? They won't answer their door so I assumed she went somewhere else. We need to get ready together for training at the beach!"

Nekomaru

"Nah, sadly I have not. Maybe she's already at the beach waiting for you?"

Akane

Hm... That's weird. She's usually always late."

As a result, Akane went to the beach. Her movements were shaky, and she was worried because she thought something bad had happened to you.

Once Akane got to the beach, she saw you sitting on the sand.

You

"Hey, Akane! Sorry if I worried you, I just came to the beach early since I'm always late, hehe."

Akane

"Phew. Alright, let's get things started! But I need some water first... S-So, I'll get some water."

Akane entered the beach house to get a drink of water, but she saw something she regrets seeing.

Akane

"What... Then... Who is?..."

She dashed out of the beach house and saw you doing situps.

Akane

"Y-Y/N! There's something you've gotta see!"

You stood up and led Akane into the beach house, picking yourself up from the sand.

You

"What the hell is this?! If I'm dead... Then, does this mean I'm a ghost?"

Akane

"And... I'm able to see your ghost?!"

You

"Akane, please don't be afraid!"

Akane

"I-I'm not, it's just... Okay, what do you remember? Do you know who killed you?"

You

"Well, I... I don't remember anything. I just remember walking into the beach house trying to look for you around the beach area, then that's it. I walked back outside and waited for you. But I didn't know I died..."

Nekomaru

"Oh, there you are Akane-"

When he saw your corpse, Nekomaru's grin faded rapidly.

You stood in front of Nekomaru as a phantom, waving your hand over his forehead.

"Huh... He can't see me. I guess it's only you, Akane."

Akane

"Yeah, I guess so."

Nekomaru

"Huh?!"

Akane

"Ah- Nothing..."

Nekomaru

"C-Come on! I'm gonna go tell the others!"

Akane

"I'd rather not go with you, Nekomaru. Sorry, I just wanna be alone for a while."

Nekomaru

"Oh, okay. I understand."

Nekomaru dashed out of the beach house to inform the rest about the body discovery.

Akane

"How come it's only me? Why only me that sees you?"

You

"I-I dunno... Maybe because I was on your mind?"

Akane

"Yeah, maybe..."

The class trial was in progress, and Akane remained silent. She didn't say anything at all.

Mahiru

"Akane, why are you being so quiet? You usually always have something to say about this."

Hajime

"Well, Mahiru, her best friend just died, so..."

Mahiru

"Yeah, but still! Akane should be saying things!"

You

"They're right, Akane, you've gotta say something."

Akane couldn't react to you because she'd seem to be a human conversing with no one in front of anyone else.

You

"Oh... That's right."

During the class trial, Akane hasn't said anything for almost an hour.

Nekomaru

"Akane, will you at least say someth-"

Akane

"I can see Y/N."

Hajime

"Huh?!"

Akane

"I can see Y/N."

Kazuichi

"G-GHOST?!"

Akane

"I can see Y/N's ghost. I can talk to them."

You

"Akane, don't do that! They'll think you're crazy!"

Akane

"Right now, Y/N's telling me to shut up because they think that you'll all think I'm crazy."

Hiyoko

"Ooh, ooh! Y/N, can you hear me?!"

You

"Yeah, I can hear everyone here."

Akane

"They say that they can hear everyone in this room."

Hajime

"Akane, are you sure? Maybe Y/N's just stuck in your head."

Nagito

"Yeah... That's a stupid lie, Akane."

Akane

"I'm not lying!"

"That's enough, Akane. Stop with your stupid lies."

Akane

"But-"

Akane sighed and became silent once more.

Since the others didn't trust Akane, you were enraged. As a result, you pulled out a notebook and pencil from your pocket and began writing on it.

Your ghost stood in your designated position on the trial site, holding a piece of paper.

Paper

"Akane is not lying. It's me writing on this paper. It's Y/N. P[lease, you have to believe her. I was killed, and I don't remember who did such a thing to me. I don't know why, but Akane is the only one who can see me. I don't even know why I'm acting a role of a ghost right now."

Kazuichi

"IT'S Y/N'S GH-GHOST! WE'RE ALL GONIG TO DIE! WE'RE GOING TO BE HAUNTED BY THEIR EVIL SPI-"

You tore another piece of paper from the stack and began writing on it. The floating pen and paper drew everyone's attention.

You

"Shut up, Kazuichi. You're too loud."

Kazuichi

"My bad!"

You assisted them during class trials so you were able to keep an eye on everybody.

You were invited to remain in Akane's cottage. She seemed to want you to be with her. She didn't feel safe with anyone else, only you and Nekomaru.

Akane woke up.

Akane

"Good morning, Y/N! Come on, we gotta eat breakfast!"

Akane sprang from her bed and flung her door open, only to find that you weren't following her.

Akane

"Huh? Y/N, what's the matter?"

You

"I don't know... I can't get up. I think I'm disappearing."

Akane

"Huh?! Disappearing now?!"

You

"I... Think I have to go now."

Akane

"What?! Why?!"

You

"Akane, you know I don't belong in this world anymore."

Akane

"But-"

You

"Akane, even though I'll be gone I'll still be watching over you."

Akane began to weep as she saw you vanish.

You weren't all gone, however. You awoke in a spot where all the other dead had gathered.
