Naruto lay on the grass in the field sound asleep, snoring slightly with the kunai he marked his tree in his hand loosely. Someone was picking up herbs near him.

The guy-who-looked-like-a-girl stood up and walked towards him, his hand nearing Naruto's neck, but then he just shook Naruto's shoulder.

"You'll catch a cold if you sleep here, wake up." He said.

Naruto got up lazily, "Ohh... Who are you?"

"I'm gathering herbs." He said.

"Herbs?"

He nodded, "That's right, for treating illnesses and injuries, my friend got hurt so I'm here gathering herbs."

Naruto's eyes narrowed, an image of the hunter-nin came into his head, and he smiled, "Ah, how kind of you. What's your name?"

He blinked, "Haku."

Naruto nodded, "Ahhh, Haku-kun then?"

Haku stiffened.

Naruto smiled, "Yes, I can tell you are male."

Haku nodded, "O-Oh, how surprising... No-one ever realises."

Naruto nodded, "Interesting, so you like to dress up like a female? Or is it just to pretend that you aren't Zabuza's ally?"

Haku whipped out a senbon and raised it, Naruto laughed and raised his hands in defence, "Don't worry, I'm not looking for a fight."

Haku lowered his senbon slowly, still not trusting Naruto.

"My name's Naruto, and I want to make a deal with you." Naruto slyly smirked.

Haku blinked, "Huh?"

"HEY! Where's Naruto!?" Sakura pounced on Sasuke.

"How should I know? He was gone when I woke up!" Sasuke yelled.

Sakura scoffed, "You don't even know where your wife is?! That's a disgrace!"

Sasuke opened his mouth but nothing came out.

Kakashi popped his head from around the door, "Seems like you don't deny it Sasuke."

Sasuke went bright red, "NARUTO IS NOT MY WIFE!"

"What type of deal?" Haku cautiously but curiously asked.

Naruto waved Haku to sit down, and he did.

"You know obviously that Gato is going to betray you right?" Haku nodded and Naruto continued, "Then why don't we meet on the battlefield, against each other, lure him out, and then kill him? Me, Kakashi, Sakura, Sasuke, Zabuza and you. But I won't tell my teammates except Kakashi to make it seem more believable."

Haku blinked, "It’s... A good idea... And could work."

Naruto nodded, "So? What do you say?"

Sasuke fumed and stepped out of the house.

"SASUKE! DON'T YOU DARE WALK AWAY FROM ME!" Sakura yelled at him.

"I CAN DO WHATEVER I WANT! IT'S A FREE COUNTRY!" He yelled back.

Kakashi sighed, "Pitiful comeback Sasuke... Pitiful..."

"Oh shut it Kakashi! I'm going to go find Naruto!" Sasuke yelled.

They went quiet, "You’re going to find your wife?"

Sasuke shook his fist at them, "SHUT UP! I'm going!"

And he slammed the door shut.

Haku looked at Naruto, he was trained well, so he could tell if someone was being honest or not. And Naruto's bright blue orbs were definitely not lying.

"...And if we are with you? What happens then?" He questioned.

Naruto smiled, "Then I will convince the Hokage to let you stay in Konoha. Wouldn't it be nice to be in a village? Somewhere to call home?"

Haku thought about it and sighed, "I can't decide myself; I have to ask Zabuza, if he says yes, I will inform you." Haku picked up his basket and started to walk away, "And if he says no, we will meet on the battlefield once again, Naruto-san."

Naruto smiled, "Give my regards to Zabuza will ya?"

Haku chuckled, "I will remember to, farewell."

Naruto smirked, "It's not 'farewell' Haku. Saying that seems like we won't ever see each other again, you have to say 'see you later.' "

Haku looked back with a small smile on his face, "Then, see you later, Naruto-san."

He walked away and Naruto smiled and shut his eyes.

"See ya later, Haku."

He snapped open his eyes when he felt a bang on his head.

"OUCH!"

He opened one eye and glared at the culprit. "Sasuke! What's wrong with you?!"

Sasuke raised his eyebrow, "Naru, did you forget about breakfast?"

Naruto blinked, "O... Oh yeah... There is something called breakfast..."

Sasuke hung his head in defeat, "... Wow..."

Naruto grinned, "And by the way, that counts as domestic violence."

Sasuke's eyes widened, "W-W... What...?!"

Naruto nodded, "Yep."

Sasuke's shoulders shook then he grabbed Naruto, pulling him to his own chest.

"Sasu-?!" Naruto's sentence was cut off by Sasuke's lips on his cheek.

Naruto's face was covering in a bright pink blush, and he froze.

Sasuke kissed him.

Only on the cheek but it's still a kiss!!!

Sasuke pulled his head away and gave the red faced Naruto a smirk.

"Not domestic violence now is it?"

Naruto opened his mouth but nothing came out, a blush covered his cheeks.

"Y-YOU BAKA!"

Sasuke raised an eyebrow and smirked, "Payback's a bitch isn't she?"

Oh, the wondrous ways that Sasuke's personality changes once he is near Naruto...

(Author: ... I swear Sasuke is like, bipolar...)

Narrator: You are making him like that Wolfie-chan.

(Author: SHUT UP NARRATOR AND READ MY STORY!!)

Narrator: Hai hai...

And continuing, Naruto gulped and pulled away from Sasuke.

"You know... There aren't any fangirls here so you didn't need to do that..." Naruto whispered.

Sasuke looked at him, "I wanted to."

Naruto blinked at him, "Huh?"

Sasuke shook his head, "Nothing, I'll tell you later."

Naruto pouted, "You know I don't have any patience!"

Sasuke shrugged, "Totally not my problem."

Naruto huffed and crossed his arms angrily.

Sasuke chuckled, "Come on, we need to go and eat breakfast."

Naruto sighed and followed Sasuke towards the house, they went inside and Sakura and Kakashi instantly came up in their faces.

"Sasuke! You found your wife!"

"I knew only you could find him! You are bound by fate after all!"

Naruto blinked, "Kakashi sensei, you sound like a Hyuuga, and... WHAT?!"

Sasuke groaned, "He isn't my wife!"

Sakura smirked, "Yet."

Kakashi gave an evil grin, "Gotta love that yet."

They were out practicing again, Sakura was with the bridge builder protecting him, Kakashi was resting to recover from his chakra overuse, and Naruto and Sasuke were nearly up the tree.

Naruto huffed, "Sasuke, you nearly done...?"

Sasuke nodded and huffed, "Yeah..."

Naruto was just about to run up the tree again when a kunai came flying towards him, he caught the kunai and twirled it around his fingers, making sure Sasuke couldn't see it.

He opened the slip of paper and read what it said:

We're with you

Naruto smirked.

Operation 'Kick Gatou's ass' was a go.
