Team 7 along with Tazuna walked down the road, completely oblivious to the fact that they were being watched, well, except Kakashi.

He walked past a clear puddle and his eyes darted to it, and as fast as they came, they went.

"A puddle? On a clear day?" The copy ninja thought, he carried on walking not to arouse suspicion. Suddenly chains from 2 directions swarmed around him and everyone gasped.

"Kakashi-sensei!" Naruto yelled, the chains tightened and big chunks fell on the ground.

"One down." The attackers said.

Sasuke quickly went into action, threw a kunai at the chains to dig it into the tree, he kicked one of them while they stumbled. He spotted Naruto frozen, and another coming to attack him.

"Damn it." Sasuke cursed. He dashed towards the blonde and threw himself in front of him, blocking the attack and throwing the attacker back. Stabbing him with a kunai in the process. Then Kakashi held both attackers and smiled.

"Yo."

"Hn, show off." Sasuke thought.

"Kakashi sensei!" Sakura gasped, "You’re alive!"

Sasuke turned to Naruto and his eyes widened, a long cut in his hand was bleeding at a fast pace.

"Bandages!" Sasuke yelled out, everyone saw Naruto and opened their bags to find a bandage.

Next thing they know, Naruto stabs himself, "Why am I so different? It’s so... Ugh... I'm so useless! I swear upon this wound, I won't ever let anyone protect me, I will do it myself. Believe it." He pulled the kunai out, Sasuke blinked.

"Hey... Naru?"

Naruto blushed and looked up, "Yeah?"

"You know, if you lose any more blood..." Sasuke started.

"You’re gonna die." Kakashi smiled at Naruto, Naruto blinked and then his face turned blue.

''AHHH!!!! I DON'T WANT TO DIE YOUNG! I HAVEN'T BECOME HOKAGE YET!!!'' He started running around holding his hand and yelling.

''Naruto! Stop moving! Your blood will make the poison move around faster if you move!'' Kakashi yelled at him, Naruto paused mid-step and got sweat marks on his head.

He turned slowly with tears gushing out of his eyes and his lips in an extreme pout, ''Get it out!!!'' Sasuke held himself back from laughing and he stepped closer to Naruto, Kakashi right next to him, he gave Kakashi the bandage and watched him, Naruto held his hand up.

Sasuke eyes widened, without any treatment the wound on Naruto's hand was healing itself, he shot a look at Kakashi as if waiting for an explanation.

''Sasuke... Kakashi-sensei? You have scary looks on your faces... Will I be okay?'' Naruto held his head with his other hand and asked.

''Err... Yeah, you'll be fine.'' Kakashi tied the bandage around Naruto's hand and gave him a closed eye smile. Naruto nodded and walked away, leaving Sasuke and Kakashi..

''Kakashi... His wound...'' Sasuke looked at him.

''Oh yeah... You don't know obviously, but...'' Kakashi hesitated.

''What!?'' Sasuke glared at him, ''I have to know.''

''Yeah because you’re a stalker...'' Kakashi muttered.

''What did you say?!'' Sasuke's eye twitched.

''I said because you’re his boyfriend.'' He smiled. The Uchiha blushed and looked away slightly.

''Kakashi... Just tell me will you?''

''Okay, Naruto has the nine tailed fox demon sealed inside of him.'' He said plainly, Sasuke blinked.

Sasuke blinked again, ''The...''

''Uh huh.''

''Nine-tailed...''

''You’re getting there...''

''Fox...''

''Yep.''

''Okay... Wait...'' Sasuke paused. ''THE NINE TAILED FOX?!'' He burst.

''Oh whadda ya know!? Ya stuck the landing! Give the kid a prize ladies and gents!'' Kakashi said sarcastically.

''That demon? Inside Naruto?'' Sasuke asked. Kakashi glared at him.

''Whatever you think, Naruto is NOT the demon.'' He snapped, Sasuke blinked again and looked over at Naruto who was scratching his head at Sakura who was yelling at him for being 'a masochistic idiot.'

''Yeah I know. Naruto can't be a demon, Naruto is Naruto. My number 1 hyperactive knucklehead ninja.'' Sasuke smiled slightly and chuckled, and Kakashi smiled, picking up when Sasuke said 'MY'.

"Ooooi! Sasuke-kun! Kakashi-sensei! Let’s go!" Sakura waved to them and yelled, Sasuke walked with his hands in his pockets over to them with Kakashi next to him and smirked.

"Let’s get going guys!" Naruto fistpumped.

"Naruto!" Sakura hit his head causing him to fall face first into the ground, "You're still injured! DON'T JUMP AROUND!" Sakura scolded him.

Naruto held his nose and pouted. "Sakura-chan.... That hurt!" He aime cried.

Kakashi chuckled and Sasuke shook his head amused.

"I want to get back to my village in one piece! Let’s go!" Tazuna yelled at them.

"Okay okay, sheesh, old man." Naruto grumbled, making Tazuna's eye twitch.

"I want to just read my Icha Icha paradise book..." Kakashi sighed, all 3 genins turned to him twitching.

So off they went, walking and guarding Tazuna.

"Mr Tazuna, I think you owe us an explanation, who exactly is after you?" Kakashi asked.

"I think it’s about time to tell you, the man who is after me is a very short man with a big shadow." Tazuna started.

"Okay that’s physically impossible, even I know that." Naruto grumbled.

"Naruto?" Kakashi said.

"Yeah sensei?"

"Shut up." He deadpanned.

"O-Okay... But I was trying to be clever! A short man... Shorter than me? Oh I want to see that guy, heh heh I told you I am not the shortest person... With a long shadow... Yeah I have nothing."

"NARUTO! SHUT UP!" Sakura yelled.

"Pshht, fine fine, but you will bow under the name of Master Naruto Uzumaki, the foxy Hokage! MWA HA HA HA!" He cackled.

"Okay Naru, you have to be quiet for a minute or something, because we have to know who is after the bridge builder, and Foxy Hokage? Really?" Sasuke asked.

"... Yeah that sounded wrong didn't it." Naruto facepalmed at himself.

"May I continue?" Tazuna asked.

"Yes, please." Kakashi grumbled.

"His name is Gato. A business leader, but under all that he deals with drugs, it was about a year ago he set his sights on the wave country, and ever since then we barely have enough food, or money to survive. He fears the bridge, which I am the leader in making, it connects us to the main land, and when it’s connected Gato's control over the Wave will be broken."

"Soo... You are in the way because you are leading the bridge making... So you have to be assassinated. Oh wow, that’s harsh." Sakura said.

"Yes." Tazuna nodded.

"Then why did you put in the mission for a C rank? This is on the verge of an A rank, Genin’s can't do these. It’s unacceptable." Kakashi raised an eyebrow at Tazuna.

"Isn't it obvious?" Everyone turned to Naruto, "He just literally explained, they barely have enough money, so how would they be able to pay for an A rank?" Naruto finished.

Everyone blinked.

"Who are you?" Sasuke asked.

"HEY! Just because I act stupid isn't because I actually am stupid. I do have a brain. Now... Where's my reward ramen?" He asked.

"Yep, that’s Naruto." Sakura giggled.

"The kid is right, even our nobles have no money, how could we pay for an A rank? I didn't know they would send me Genin’s to escort me, Chunin’s I hoped. But they didn't. But don't worry, just leave me now, its fine, my daughter would hate the leaf ninja for the rest of her life for abandoning her father!" Tazuna shrugged.

Sakura and Naruto were teary eyed, Sasuke and Kakashi just stared at him.

"You know, a grown man shouldn't be playing the guilt trip. That’s just wrong." Sasuke told him.

"And my little grandson would be crying, 'Grandad! Grandad! I want my grandad!' Oh well, it’s not your fault." Sasuke resisted the urge to facepalm.

"Okay then, not much we can do, we will have to carry on the mission." Kakashi said, Sasuke's jaw dropped.

"YOU! I was depending on you! How could you fall for such a cheap trick?" Sasuke pointed at the copy ninja, but was ignored.

"Oh thank you." Tazuna turned, "I win!"

"You see that?!" Sasuke pointed at the bridge builder. Kakashi turned to him.

"I saw nothing." They all started to walk forward except Sasuke.

"And you call yourself a jounin?!" He yelled, "Ugh... Kakashi!"
