INT. HALLWAY – DAY

Mo and Eric walk down the hallway drinking coffee.

ERIC

The teacher's lounge has the best coffee.

MO

You knew your way around that kitchen a little too well.

ERIC

I may have spent a few lunch periods there. It was the only free time Mr. Moore had, and it got me an A in AP Psych.

MO

You were just in it for the free food. Admit it.

ERIC

Maybe a little.

A noise comes from somewhere close.

MO

Did you hear something?

ERIC

Yeah.

He looks at the storage closet.

ERIC (CONT'D)

I think it came from in there. Why don't we go check it out?

Mo sees where this is going.

MO

You want our first kiss to be in a dirty storage closet? Try again.

They walk away. Inside the storage closet, a Southside Shark appears through the window. He's geared up for the heist in a Southside gray and blue sweatsuit and a shark teeth face mask.

INT. HALLWAY – NIGHT

Josh rolls backwards on his skateboard while recording Shae and Brandy performing a baton routine with their walkies. They stumble a few of the moves and crack up. Josh hops off his board.

JOSH

You still got it.

BRANDY

You should have seen us on the field. We just knew we were Beyonce's halftime dancers.

JOSH

Oh, I saw. Trust me.

SHAE

And now it's all over. Just like that.

BRANDY

Those four years went by so fast.

SHAE

Too fast.

Brandy hooks her arms with both of theirs as they continue down the hall.

BRANDY

Let's make a promise that no matter what happens, or where we'll go in life, that we'll have each other. (to Shae) The harmony to my melody and one of my best friends in the entire world. My sister. (to Josh) And my old school homeboy who's been kicking it with me since I was rocking beads and hair bows. You guys are my family.

JOSH

Yeah. Family...

BRANDY

(re: Josh's face expression) What's that all about?

JOSH

What if I don't want to be just the homeboy you kick it with?

Brandy is blindsided. Speechless.

SHAE

On that note, I'm going to go to the bathroom so you two can figure that out.

She excuses herself.
