INT. HALLWAY – DAY

Abram leaves the bathroom. All around him, students are snapping photos and chasing each other down the halls. It's a madhouse. Abram takes out his Classic iPod and sticks in his earbuds. "Photograph" by Def Leppard. It's our first musical number.

Abram travels through the school, avoiding the selfie battles. He stops at a poster for Torie's prom queen campaign. 

ABRAM

I don't want your

I don't need your

All I got is a photograph

But it's not enough

He opens the double doors besides it and walks through.

INT. AUTO-SHOP – DAY

Abram works on a car, alone. He grabs a yellow rag. Hops on the roof of the car and sings into the rag like a mic.

ABRAM

All I've got is a photograph

You've gone straight to my headdddddd!

He jumps off the hood and dances around the workshop. He grabs tools from a table of toolboxes and drums with them.

ABRAM

I'm out a love

I'm out a love

Someone clears their throat. Abram whips around, dropping the tools on the floor. Mr. Edwards smirks. Abram takes out his earbuds.

MR. EDWARD

I see you've found a class you actually enjoy.

ABRAM

I work better in practical environments.

MR. EDWARD

That's actually why I'm here. I heard about your car situation. I think I might have a way to help.

He hands him an F&B Auto Shop business card.

MR. EDWARDS (CONT'D)

I put in a good word. Stop by after school. See how it goes.

ABRAM

You sure you trust me with your reputation? That's a pretty big risk.

MR. EDWARDS

Then don't let me down.

He walks out. Abram reads the card again. Why not?
