INT. PHYSICS BACKROOM – NIGHT

The entire Norhtpointe crew gathers around Flynn's project. Torie's recording.

Flynn calls his phone and sets off the chain reaction. This time the fan blows a paper boat with a Northpointe flag across a tank of water. A pencil at the end of the boat triggers another reaction that ends with an elaborate index card domino effect that reads, "I Heart Science." They cheer and commend Flynn.

VANCE

That's pretty cool.

FLYNN

Thanks.

SHAE

It's been a wild and crazy night, but I am way past my bedtime.

TORIE

You guys, go ahead. I'm going to stay and help Flynn clean up.

SAVANNAH

Yeah, me too.

VANCE

I'm in no rush. Might as well do some good around here.

MO

For once.

TORIE

Tristen, do you mind taking Shae home?

Tristen and Shae lock eyes. Savannah notices.

TRISTEN

My pleasure.

The others say their goodbyes and leave while Flynn, Abram, Torie, Savannah, and Vance stay behind and help Flynn disassemble his machine. Flynn and Abram clean up the index cards.

FLYNN

I'm sorry. For how I've been treating you. You're a good friend. And you're right. I should have told Clarke the truth. I'm just afraid I'm going to mess things up, you know? When we were doing so well.

ABRAM

Some problems are easily fixed. Some aren't. But I think you can fix this one.

There's a noise in the hallway. Savannah looks at the doorway.

SAVANNAH

Someone's coming.

TORIE

They probably forgot something.

The door to the main classroom creaks opens followed by the sound of keys. The gang wait in silence as footsteps and jingling keys close in on them to reveal...

The custodian. He does not look happy to see them. Flynn smiles nervously.

FLYNN

Hey, Mr. Greg.
