INT. BACKSTAGE - NIGHT

The performers are hanging out, saying their goodbyes. Flynn finds Clarke. She hugs him.

CLARKE

You guys rocked.

FLYNN

Thanks. You too...There's something I need to tell you.

CLARKE

Okay.

FLYNN

I lost your ring.

CLARKE

What?

FLYNN

But I ordered a replacement so you wouldn't find out. Only, I couldn't go through with it. Lying to you. Because I want our relationship to be built on trust. Especially if we're going to make it official.

He takes the jewelry box out of his pocket. Opens it. It's a charm bracelet.

FLYNN (CONT'D)

It has all your favorites. Except they didn't have JT. Probably because of copyright issues. I wanted it to be special because you're special to me. Will you be my girlfriend?

CLARKE

As long as your straight up with me, yeah. Did you really have to ask?

Flynn smiles. Relived.

FLYNN

Can never be too sure.

CLARKE

I'm definitely sure.

He hooks the bracelet around her wrist. She kisses him. Josh and Brandy are hugged up, watching.

JOSH

Gross, you guys.

On another side of the room, Abram's with Jeff and Nikki.

JEFF

Maybe you were right. They just don't get our music.

ABRAM

Did you see them tonight? We got them out of their seats. If we can conquer high school, we can conquer the world. This is only the beginning.

NIKKI

I say that's cause for a celebration.

JEFF

I don't know if Flynn's going to make it. He looks occupied.

They start heading out. Torie catches Abram before he leaves.

TORIE

Abram, wait.

Abram stops at the door.

TORIE (CONT'D)

You had my vote for the most dramatic entrance.

ABRAM

I just wish it was planned. Did you come here to gloat?

TORIE

Actually, I wanted to give you this.

She offers him the envelope of prize money.

TORIE (CONT'D)

It's only my portion, but it should be enough to put toward getting your car fixed.

ABRAM

I appreciate the notion, but you've done enough. I don't need your charity.

TORIE

It's not charity. I just wanted to help.

ABRAM

You got us here, and I'm grateful for that, but I don't want your money. I'll find a way to deal with it on my own.

TORIE

It's okay to ask for help, Abram.

ABRAM

Not from you.

He walks out.

On another side of the room, Brandy, Shae, and Mo are taking pictures with friends while Savannah watches on, awkwardly on the sidelines. She gets a text. Checks it.

EXT. OUTSIDE THE SCHOOL – NIGHT

Savannah exits and finds Vance waiting outside. Her makeup masterpiece still on his face.

SAVANNAH (CONT'D)

Are you trying to get kicked off the premises?

TRISTEN

I'm not allowed in the building. Technically, I'm outside of the building. I wanted to show my support.

Savannah kisses him.

INT. LOBBY – NIGHT

While everyone's leaving the building, Torie's taking a selfie with Mannie.

TORIE

Thanks, Mannie. You were incredible tonight.

She gives him a high-five and starts to walk away, but Mannie holds onto her hand. She turns back around. Mannie lets go and takes of his head to reveal...

Jaxson. Torie cracks up.

JAXSON

There's that smile I missed so much.
