Oh the trip back from the Shrieking Shack was terrible. "I can't believe you've been going behind our backs to see that mad man!" Ron hissed semi bitterly as he limped using you as a crutch like before. Frowning as you looked away. "Well would any of you've listened if I tried to explain? I mean up until you saw Pettigrew turn into a man you were hell bent on not letting anyone touch your rat." You said just as the said man tried pleading with Harry again making the freckled teen cringe.

"Please don't remind me." He muttered as Sirius led everyone out of the tunnel getting Pettigrew to try and plead with him. "Turn me into a maggot. A dung beetle. A Flobberworm! Anything but the Dementors." He said desperately before spinning around to his old master. "Ron! Haven't I been a good friend? A good pet? You won't let them kill me, will you? I was your rat."

He begged making Ron draw back in disgust as he pulled you away from the pudgy man, when you heard Hermione behind you talking to Harry "Don't worry. He's under the Somnambulist Charm. It's primarily used to transport the seriously deranged." She said, leading a sleepwalking Snape behind her, making you frown. "Couldn't she have used that spell on Pettigrew? Would've saved us a whole lot of whining the whole way here." You thought when Peter turned to Hermione after you turned away to ignore him.

"Sweet girl. Clever girl. Surely you won't let them." He started making Hermione tug her robes from Pettigrew's sweaty grasp. As you noticed Harry moving to stand by Sirius who stood staring in wonder at the castle, shining radiantly under the bright glow of the night sky. Smiling at the two you jumped when Pettigrew fell to his knees to grab your undershirt. "(First/Name) please, please don't let them hurt me! You alway came to my rescue when I needed it! Don't let them kill me!"

He pleaded as you tried to step out of his gasp when Ron shoved him away. "Get off her! (First/Name) don't be fooled by him." Ron said as Peter seemed to give up on begging for help as Lupin sighed and shook his head at the sorry sight. "Truly sorry you all got dragged into this. You shouldn't, shouldn't...." Lupin said before turning when the clouds overhead started to part revealing the full moon.

"Harry!" Hermione called turning from the full moon to Lupin then back knowing that he'd sure enough turn into a werewolf. Making Sirius bolt over to his friend's side. "Remus, old friend... did you take your potion tonight?" He asked worriedly as Lupin, twitching, shook his head desperately wanting to suppress the wolf within him. When Pettigrew's eyes darted, taking in the situation, before noting the wand trembling in Remus's grasp.

"Run. All of you. Now!" Sirius yelled turning just enough to look at the four of you but none of you made a move, to transfixed by the slow transformation happening before you, as bristles started poking through your DADA Professors skin. Making the Animagus user stepped forward, wrapping his arms around his friend, before pressing his cheek close to his ear. "You know the man you truly are, Remus. This heart is where you truly live. This heart! Here!"

Sirius yelled, hitting and pointing at Remus's chest where his heart was. When Lupin dropped his wand making Peter leap for it. Just as you finally blinked after so long as Harry moved just as fast. "No! Expelliarmus!" He yelled making the wand go flying from Pettigrew's hand as he froze. Before slowly turning to your group his face completely blank, before an unsettling grin spread across his face as he began to transform. Stunned, the four of you watched as a rat darted into the underbrush.

But as your instincts and inner morality fought  on the thought of chasing after Peter to make him face his crimes, your instincts won over when a loud howl pierced through the air making you and Harry turn to watch Lupin who shrugged Sirius off and like a ragdoll into the air as he turned to the four of you no longer human but a werewolf. And as soon as you saw him you transformed, bolting after Peter in your animagus form. Leaping over rocks, and diving under roots you then glared when you spotted the fleeing rat.

Pushing yourself to go faster until you tackled Peter who screeched at you through the underbrush. Rolling from your momentum you lost hold of the rat making him turn back to his human form. Popping up onto your hands and knees when you turned back you glared at Peter who glared right back. "Did you really not see this coming? Every crime has to be repaid!" You yelled quickly standing when Peter stood and squinted at you eyes darting to your wand then to back to you.

"Then are you not the same? Lying to everyone around you, hiding who you really are! I saw it! The birthmark one your leg there is only one I've ever seen like it and it belonged to the Dark Lord's daughter! You are the hire to Voldemort!" Peter yelled, making you freeze and pale. Faltering for a moment you jumped when Peter lunges for your wand, yanking yourself back and to the side. You almost tripped over an unearthed root.

Catching yourself, you made a startled noise when Pettigrew tackled you to the ground. Losing hold of your wand in the fall you locked your arms to keep Peter from fully pinning you. "I will not be taken to the dementors! I never wanted my friends to die but I didn't want to die either! You of all people should know!" He yelled as you glared up at his. "That's a LIE. I'd never sell my friends out for my own safety! I've gone again Tom before and I'll continue to do it until the day Harry can live freely!"

You yelled pulling an arm back to punch the pudgy man in the jaw as hard as you could, knocking him off of you just as a loud howling startled the both of you. Turning to the sound at the same time Peter did your pulse dropped at the snarling face of Lupin inching closer. Glancing at each other you barely missed grabbing onto Peter before he bolted transforming into a rat to get away quicker.
