The Rescue

Pacing your room angrily. "I can't believe Harry! He hasn't answered a single one of my letters! And to top it off whenever I tried rollerblading over to his house to get answers the streets would go topsy turvy and send me right back home!" You ranted picking up a pillow and throwing against the wall with all your might revealing Triton who was coiled up under the pillow. "Now, now. There'sss no need to get ssso upssset. You'll be ssseeing Harry real sssoon right? You can tell him all about your sssumer with Sssir Flamel then can't you?" Triton hissed slithering to the end of the bed so he could wrap around your wrist. Humming thoughtfully, "Yeah, but I wanted to show him my Animagus form. I can't really trust the twins to keep it a secret." You said opening your window to watch the sunset when Errol a grey decrepit owl crash landed on you dresser. Nearly jumping out of your skin at the owls sudden appreciate. "Dangit Errol! Your a flying disaster! Your lucky I opened my window when I did or you've had a really nasty fall." You said going over to the owl to get the letter Ron sent you. Petting the owl as you read, you grinned happily dashing over to your desk to quickly write a reply. Handing the letter to the grey owl "Okay Errol, you get this letter to Ron safely, okay?" You asked having the owl step up onto your hand as you walked back to your widow to send the owl off. Watching Errol fly for a minute. "Ron'sss owl isss a complete moron. Why not get a new owl for them asss an early Chrissstmasss prsssent?" Triton asked as you lifted your arm to look at him as you turned to leave your room. "You don't have to be so mean Triton. As long as their letters get to where they belong, I don't see any reason they need a new owl." You reasoned hopping onto the stair railing and sliding down. Walking into the kitchen you smiled at your mom as she finished putting the leftovers away. "Hey Mom? Could you please pack me a little bit of that? I'm going to go on a rescue mission with Ron." You said going over to hug your mother. Turning to look at you with a eyebrow raised "Oh really? You do know how late it's getting right?" Your mother asked taking out extra tupperware to pack some leftovers in. Grinning happily "I know it's getting late but this is the only time we can do it! We've been planning this rescue for over a month!" You argued as your father walked in with his arms crossed. " hey there little miss! I've never met this boy, how do I know he's not trying to steal my princess away from me?" He asked making you frown a bit. "DAD! It's not like that, he's a friend I swear! You said holding your flailing your arms making Triton moved from your wrist to your neck away from the wild movements. Watching you flail about about your mother giggled. "You plan on being out all night don't you?" She asked making your dad raid an eyebrow curiously. Nodding slowly "Yeah...I was actually planning on going to diagonally to get us an owl of our own by using Ron's floor powder." You said watching the confusion grow on your parents faces. "A-alright you can go but as soon as you get to Ron's house send a letter home." Your mother ordered making you grin happily. Quikly giving her a tight hug you ran past your father before turning around to bear hug him from behind. "I promise I won't get into trouble!" You yelled running up to your room to read and pack your suitcase. Sitting on the front steps of your home with your suitcase a few hours later, you grin with you see an old, turquoise colored Angela Ford flying down from the sky. Picking up your suitcase you quickly ran up to the trip of brothers and leaned against the window. "Ready to put operation Rescue Harry into motion?." You asked joyfully as who you assumed was Fred grinned. "This is the greatest plan ever! Put your suitcase in the trunk and let's go get Harry!" He said popping the truck. Sitting in the back with George you looked out the window trying to spot Harry's house. "Everything looks so different from up here it hard to tell whi- wait nevermind I see Harry!" You said leaning over the front seat to point at the widow Harry was in. "Roger that! Look out below!" Fred yelled driving the car down to Harry's window. Getting close enough to fully see your friend you frowned sadly at the bars around his window. "They treat him terribly! Oh if I ever meet his uncle I'm turning him into a beetle!" You growled as Ron knocked on the window trying to wake up the sleeping teen on the sill. Leaning on Ron's shoulder you waved happily when Harry finally woke up looking a bit confused. "Hiya, Harry." Ron said smiling a little. "Fred? George? (First/Name)? What're you doing here?" Harry asked getting up from his window. Grinning more "We're here to bust you outta this place! Get your things quickly!" You said as Harry beamed getting his things ready. While Ron tied off a fierce knot on the bars of Harry's window. "Stand back." He warned has Fred stepped on the accelerator making the rope snap tight, before the bars are tear from the window. Causing bricks and bars to rain down onto the lawn below, in a mangled mess. Watching as Harry push his trunk over the sill into the Anglia's trunk. You then carefully took Hedwig from Harry when the bedroom door crashes open revealing Harry's serpriced family. "Petunia! He's getting away!" Harry's uncle yelled causing Harry to leap for the windowsill as his uncle charges forward and snatches his ankle. Gasping you jump up to grab Harry as he tumbles into the darkness, before grabbing Ron's hand at the last possible second. Watching as Ron was playing horrible game of tug of war you tried to help Ron pull Harry into the car as he hung, stretched high over the lawn, directly above the mangled steel bars. Grunting you turned to see Harry's Hedwig pecking feverishly at the lock on her cage. As Ron yelled for Harry to hang on when Harry's uncle yelled "Oh no, boy! You and that bloody pigeon aren't going anywhere!" Glowing you were about to yell at the fat bastard when Hedwig broke through the lock on her cage and swooped into the sky, reeling back to hammers her beak into Vernon's hand. Making him shriek in pain and, stumble letting go of Harry. After pulling your friend into the car "Fred, petal to the metal!" You yelled laughing a bit as the Anglia sails into the stars. Turning to Harry to wish him a happy birthday you noticed he was staring back at the shrinking house watching his aunt and cousin join his uncle at the window. As Hedwig was soaring just beyond the car window finally able to stretch her wings. Lightly bellowing the raven haired boy to get his attention you smiled as Ron turned to him from the front seat "By the way, Harry. Happy Birthday." He grinned making everyone laugh and try to retell watch just happened. Talking with the group for most of the ride you didn't notice the sun starting to rise until the Anglia dropped through a pink sky, nearing haphazard mess of a HOUSE, built around a towering central chimney. Leaning over the seat "Hey, how is your house defying gravity like that Ron?" You joked making Ron push you away playfully before you spotted a lopsided sign with THE BURROW. FLUMPH! Scrawled across it. Just as the car touches down in a whirling cone of dust, scattering a group of chickens, and fishtails to a halt. Waiting until Ron opened his door you laughed rolling out of the back seat pushing Ron out of the car faster. "Hurry! Let's slip inside before Mum wakes up!" Fred whispered quietly opening the door window to unlock the actual door. Sneaking inside you stopped in your tracks to look around with Harry. Going over to a self knitting sweater you were about to make a joke when room came up from behind Harry munching on a biscuit before averts his eyes self-consciously. "It's not much." He said looking around as Harry said your thoughts "I think it's... brilliant!" Smiling you turned to walk back over to a shuffling deck of cards when. "WHERE... HAVE... YOU... BEEN?!x was yelled behind you. Making a startled noise you turn to see a fuming Molly standing in a doorway before she smiles sweetly at you and Harry. "Harry! (First/Name)! How wonderful to see you. It's been a while." Mrs. Weasley grinned before turning back to her some angrily "Beds empty! No note! You could've died! You could've been seen!" She growled before turning sweetly to you and harry. "I don't blame you, of course, dearies." She said making you stifle a laugh at how far she can switch from roaring momma bear to a cuddly kitten then back in less than a second. "They were starving him, Mum! There were bars on his window!" Ron tried to reason making you turn to him "Does he hate a death wish? Ssstop talking!" Triton whispered staring at Ron as well. "You best hope I don't put bars on your window, Ronald Weasley!" Molly yelled pointing at the said boy as she turned to her new guest "Care for a spot of tea, you two? Must have been a very long drive. Here go to the table I'll start making breakfast!" She said happily shooing you, Harry and her some into the kitchen "Oh could I borrow a quill and paper my parents want to know if I got here safely." You said smiling at Mrs. Weasley as she nodded happily. Helping where you could. "Oh dearie you don't have to help! Just sit at the table and relax!" Molly said making you laugh and wave her off. "No it's fine! Me and Harry did kind of show up out of nowhere. It's the least I can do." You said as Percy sleepily came down in his pajamas and sat at the table as you were laying out plates of eggs, Bacon, toast when a small, redheaded girl who you assumed was Ginny came running down the stairs "Mummy. Have you seen my jumper?" She asked stopping in her track after seeing Harry. Watching as dashes back up the stairs making Ron frown. "Ginny. Been talking about you all summer. Dead annoying, really." He said as you sat down between him and Harry just as George yelled "Dad's home!" Right as the front door opens and a tall man with red hair, and robes looking dusty and travel-worn walk in happily and over to a coat rack to hang up his cloak "What a night! Nine raids! Nine!" He said cheerfully making you turn to Ron questioningly. "Dad works at the Ministry of Magic. In the Misuse of Muggle Artefacts Office." Ron answered taking a bite out of his breakfast. "The Misuse of Muggle Artefacts?" Harry asked wanting to know more. "It's when wizards bewitch something to drive Muggles mad. Shrinking door keys, that kind of thing. Dad loves Muggles. Thinks they're fascinating." He answered just as his father sat down at the head of the table. Watching as he blinked at you and Harry you sheepishly wave. "Ah, well now. Who might the two of you be?" Arthur asked smiling at both the new faces at his table. "Sorry, I'm (First/Name) (Last/Name). It's a pleasure to meet you sir." You said politely as Harry followed "I'm Harry, sir. Harry Potter." Smiling more at his surprised face "Good Lord, are you really? Ron's told us all about you, of course. When did you two get here?" Arthur asked starting to dig into his food when his wife turned to him darkly "This morning. Your sons flew that enchanted car of yours to Surrey house and back last night." She said angrily looking at her guilty son's. "Did you now! How'd it go?!" Arthur asked excitedly until his white smelled him on the shoulder. "I...I mean...That was very wrong, boys. Very wrong indeed. So, Harry, (First/Name). You must know all about Muggles. Tell me, what exactly is the function of a rubber duck?" Arthur corrected himself before leaning in close to you and Harry. Grinning as Harry was about to answer and awful sounding screech made everyone turn to see Errol soaring toward the kitchen window. Snorting at Harry's face when the owl flew right into the glass. "That must be Errol with the post. Fetch him, will you, Percy?" Molly asked as Harry turned to Ron "Is your owl going to be okay?" He asked as you scooped a forkful of eggs into you mouth as Ron nodded "He's always doing that. He'll be fine." Ron said turning to Percy "It's our Hogwarts letters. And look, they've sent both Harry's and (First/Names) letters as well." Percy said handing the letters out. "Dumbledore must know you're here, Harry. Doesn't miss a trick, that man." Arthur said taking another bite as Fred looked at the list of required items. "This lot won't come cheap, Mum. The spellbooks alone are very expensive." He said as Mrs. Weasley took his offered letter. "We'll manage. Right then. There's only one place to get all of this." Molly said smiling as all flour of HARRY, RON, FRED, and GEORGE yelled "Diagon Alley!" Together before trying to finish their breakfast quickly so they could get ready to go.
