Laying in bed pretending to be a sleep you peeked an eye open to see your fellow Hufflepuff sisters soundly asleep making you smile. Quietly slipping out of bed, you paused when you felt Triton wrap himself around your fingers.

“Don't go. It’sss dangerousss.” He hiss pleadingly making you pause. “Triton why are you so freaked out? You've been acting so weird since the beginning of the year.” You whispered worriedly watching the redneck snack quickly uncoil himself from your fingers to hide under your pillow.

Lifting your pillow lightly you offered the small snake a smile. “Hey, your going to be okay. You know my magic is strong so don't worry about me.” You whispered using your index finger to lift the snakes head up to look at you.

Smiling more as he nodded you lightly kissed the snakes head before quietly slipping out of your dorm room. Turning into a bunny you hopped your way to Gryffindor tower when something suddenly picked you up.

Thrashing around in shock when you were suddenly covered by a cloak. “(First/Name)? What are you doing here?” Harry asked holding you up onto his shoulder so you were more comfortable. Waving at Ron you blinked as the three of you snuck past an unaware Snape who was patrolling the halls tonight.

Getting to Hagrid's home you wiggled around until Harry put you down so you could turn back to normal. “Back to your question from earlier. I needed to talk to you two so I was on my way to your guys common room. So why are we at Hagrid's?”

You asked Harry as he knocked on the door. Jumping when Hagrid swung the door open with a crossbow in hand asking “Who's there?” You quickly threw the invisibility cloak off of you and the boys.

“Don't shoot it's just us!” You said getting Hagrid to sigh and lower his crossbow and move out of the way so the three of you could enter his home. Sitting next to Fang you lightly scratched his ears making his tail thump.

“What's that for?” Harry asked pointing at the crossbow in Hagrid’s hand. Looking down at the weapon in his hand. “Nothin’, nothin'. I've been expectin'...Doesn't matter. Sit down...I'll make tea…” Hagrid said nervously getting to work on making tea.

Waiting only a few minutes fit the water to boil you worriedly watched the half giant shake as he poured the tea. “Are you okay? Hagrid? Did you hear about Hermione?” Harry asked getting the bearded man to lower the kettle. “Oh, yea. I heard, all righ'.” Hagrid said sadly picking up a slice of fruit cake.

“Look...we have to ask you something. Do you know who's opened the Chamber of Secrets?” Harry asked bluntly making Hagrid pause as he was about to bite into his fruit cake. Just as he was about to answer, a loud knock made the four of you turn to the door. Jumping as Harry and Ron threw the cloak over themselves, you turned into your animagus form next to Fang.

Watching Hagrid grab his crossbow, and point it at the door you looked to where the boys would be. Hearing the door open you hid in between Fangs legs as Dumbledore and Cornelius Fudge entered the hut.

“Good evening, Hagrid.” Dumbledore said grimly greeting the grounds keeper who again lowered his crossbow. “Bad business, Hagrid. Very bad business. Had to come. Four attacks on Muggle-borns. Things've gone far enough. Ministry's got to act.” Cornelius said making Hagrid shake his head. “I never...You know I never,
Professor Dumbledore, sir…”

Hagrid said painfully looking distraught. “I want it understood, Cornelius, that Hagrid has my full confidence.” Dumbledore said looking at the judge sternly. “Look, Albus, Hagrid's record's against him. I've got to take him.” Fudge countered making Hagrid scrunch his face in confusion.

“Take me? Where? Not Azkaban prison!” He said worriedly making Cornelius grimace slightly. “For a short stretch only. Not a punishment, Hagrid. More a precaution. If someone else is caught, you'll be released with a full apology.” He said just as a sharp rap on the door made everyone turn to it. Moving enough to see who was at the door when Dumbledore opened it, you mentally scowled.

It was Lucius Malfoy. “Already here, Fudge? Good, good.” Lucius said walking into Hagrid's home. “What're you doin' here! Get outta my house!” Hagrid yelled watching as the pale blond walked further into the hut.

“My dear man, please believe me, I have no pleasure at all in being inside your...you call this a house? I simply called at the school and was told the Headmaster was here.” Lucius said almost walking right into Harry and Ron making you jump off the couch to get in Lucius's way.

“And what exactly did you want with me, Lucius?” Dumbledore asked getting grey eyed man to look at him. “Dreadful thing, Dumbledore, but the governors feel it's time for you to step aside. This is an Order of Suspension. You'll find all twelve signatures on it. I'm afraid we feel you're losing your touch. What with all these attacks, there'll be no Muggle-borns left at Hogwarts. And we all know what an awful loss that would be.”

Lucius said handing Fudge an official roll of parchment. Sitting on your hind legs in shock you covered your mouth. “They cant do this! What will the scholl do with out our headmaster!?” You thought worriedly turning to Fudge as he spoke.

“Now, see here, Lucius. With Dumbledore suspended. No, no...thats the last thing we want right now...If Dumbledore can't stop these attacks...I mean to say, who can?” Fudge asked making Lusius glance at him.

“That remains to be seen, but all twelve governors have voted.” Lucius said somewhat smugly. “An’ how many did yeh have ter threaten before they agreed!” Hagrid growled angrily making Lucius raise a brow at him.

“I would advise you not to shout at the Azkaban guards like that.” Lucius said calmly getting Hagrid to grunt in frustration before turning to Fudge. “Yeh can't take Dumbledore! Take him away an' the Muggle-borns won' stand a chance! There'll be killin's next!”

He yelled making the headmaster raise his hand. “Calm yourself, Hagrid. If the governors want my removal, Lucius, I shall of course step aside. However... you will find that I will only truly have left this school when none here are loyal to me. You will also find that help will always be given at Hogwarts to those who...ask for it.”

Dumbledore said as his eyes drift unmistakably to you, Harry, and Ron. Smiling lightly you nodded at the elder man as Malfoy rolled his eyes. “Admirable sentiments. We shall all miss your highly individual way of running things, Albus, and only hope your successor will manage to prevent any more, um, killin's.

Lucius said striding to the door to bow Dumbledore out. Watching Fudge fiddle with his bowler as he waited for Hagrid. You blinked when Hagrid stood his ground, and took a deep breath before saying “If anyone wanted ter find out some stuff, all they'd have ter do is follow the spiders. That'd lead 'em right! Tha's all I'm sayin'.”

Hagrid said as he before glancing at you. “And someone's gon haveta feed Fang while I'm gone.” He muttered walking out the door with Fudge following him out. Turning back with a sigh when the door slammed shut you turned to Fang as he jumped off the couch and started scratching at the closed door.

As Harry and Ron emerge from beneath the cloak. “Hagrid's right. With Dumbledore gone, there'll be an attack a day!” Ron said making you nod. “I know! If we don't figure this out soon. Someone really will die next!” You said worriedly when Harry nudged you.

“Look…” He muttered looking at the windowsill, as a trail of spiders escapes through a crack in the glass. Making you grimace and Ron shutter.

“Hagrid did say follow the spiders right?” You asked watching Harry grab Hagrid's lantern and nod.
