"kim yeonjoo.." samuel says the name under his breath while he searches things off his phone with euiwoong clinging by his side. "ah, found it."
jihoon tilts his head. "you found what, exactly?"
"her instagram," samuel waves his phone with his hand, and he immediately brought the other boys to surround him, curious about the looks of this said woman. the only person who did not move an inch was jonghyun, but he then eventually changed his position next to the frozen jihoon so that he could be all touchy with him.
jonghyun ruffles the younger one's hair. "these boys look as if they haven't seen a pretty girl before."
"yeah, they do."
"holy shit, she's gorgeous!" gunhee exclaims a bit too loudly. "park jihoon, how did you get such a beautiful creature?"
jihoon shrugs. "luck, i guess-"
"i swear i do not know what happened to you guys but i surely blame it on you." gwanghyun backfires. "she's even prettier than minki."
"i agree with that." minki nods.
jihoon sighs. "can we just-"
"oh my god, oh my god!" samuel zooms into one of the pictures. "park jihoon, she still keeps a picture of both of you together!"
"wait what, really-"
baejin chuckles. "jihoon-hyung looks like a lost child here."
"isn't he always?"
"they could've worn a filter to hide his face."
"what's with his clothing-"
"we don't talk about my fashion sense," jihoon says frustratedly. "we've talked about this!"
"park jihoon, why on earth would you use an ugly green sweater with purple jeggings?" hyunbin asks frowning. "i am disappointed of you."
"it's from my mom, okay?" jihoon sighs. "oh my god, can you guys please just-"
"she quoted a lyric from bigbang's 'if you' for the caption." samuel informs.
"i like her feeds."
"does she follow jihoon?"
"forget jihoon, search for ongseungwow-"
"guys, settle down." jonghyun motions the boys to return back to their usual places and orders samuel to turn off his phone. "is everyone stable now?"
they all nod reluctantly.
"okay, so now we've all seen how kim yeonjoo looks like," jonghyun glances back to jihoon, "let's get back to the story, shall we?"
jihoon nods. "well, i wouldn't say i was the brightest student, but.."

for educational reasons.
i knew that yeonjoo is now salty about sm, but i didn't know that she was in the state where she left the group that only consists of idols/trainees /ex-trainees of sm, purely without guidance from the staffs (or in other words, shoeman's workers), so i don't really see the point of her leaving.
but then again, the group only consists of useless rants about the poor air conditioner in the practice room or memes chanyeol-hyung sends during his free time, so it makes sense for her to have the thought of leaving.
i told hyeop what happened the night after, and he immediately wrote a paragraph mainly to talk about this own opinion (it was hell for me to read it by the way, because he couldn't care less about the punctuation and grammar), but i could simplify what he was trying to say that he is 99% sure that we'd probably fall for each other at the end anyway.
but this is kwon hyeop we were talking about, so i won't get my hopes up.
i had my next class with her the next tuesday in music history, a subject which i kinda have my confidence on. sadly last week's test was hard as hell, and that i don't think i'll have a chance of getting a good score. it was no surprise that we were going to receive last week's test results today.
what surprised me was a certain person's results.
"park jihoon," the teacher called my name and everyone's attention are now to me. i got up from my seat to take my paper (which i hid from myself before i reached my seat so that i could open it with hyeop)
"please, i expect you'd get a good score," hyeop assured me as he waved his paper that had a big '82' written in red.
i took a breath before i peek what was inside the paper.
'91.5'
"park jihoon," hyeop grabbed my tie and pulled me closer, "i want to kill you right now."
"you said you expected it!"
"yeah, but my expectations have a reputation of not being true!"
i sighed in relief. guess i won't be getting death threats from my mother. i was still talking to hyeop when suddenly i felt like someone tapped me from behind.
it's kim yeonjoo.
oh.
she was behind me all this time and i didn't even notice.
well, i did didn't notice her for a whole year during my training in sm, so i wouldn't trust myself for it.
"hello, kim yeonjoo." i said coolly before i gestured at hyeop. "you've seen my dude? the amazing hyeop? my sidekick-"
"i ain't your sidekick!"
"yes, i do know. he's your only friend here." yeonjoo replied with no emotion.
"excuse me, i do have friends! mark-"
"and do we actually see mark lee around here?"
i paused. "no, but he's a nice dude."
she smirked. kim yeonjoo literally smirked at me. but no, you're not that gullible, park jihoon. she's clearly wanting something in return. so i cleared my throat and continued whatever she just started. "what do you want, kim?"
she sighed. "um,"
"hm?"
"are you available this evening?"
boom. i thought i would be the one saying that instead of her. "... we have training today, remember?"
"yeah, i mean like.. before that."
what in the world is she planning on? i nodded. "um yeah, i have no plans. why?"
she bit her lips, not a good idea. "i might be currently lacking on some aspects of the main idea of this subject-"
"you got a bad score," i interrupted. she shot me a deadly glare. "what? i'm straight to the point."
hyeop peeked through the gap between us. "you're not straight to the point when it comes to exposing your feelings- ow."
that was me stepping his foot, if you're asking.
"so you're asking for me to tutor you?" i continued.
"why are you saying it like it's a bad thing?"
"i'm not! you're the one who's making it sound like it's a bad thing." i crossed my arms. "one score is not going to last long, yeonjoo."
"what if this is one score leading to a series of other bad scores?!"
hyeop wheezed. "chill-"
"hey you," i pointed at the boy beside me, "shut up." i looked back at yeonjoo. "chill."
she paused. "so are you?"
"hm?"
"going to help me?"
i tilted my head. ".. well, a bowl of ramen would do-"
"you're unbelievable."
"i'm just kidding!" i took a deep breath. "you'd like me to teach you?"
she nodded.
"why me?"
"because no matter what happens, i'll have a guarantee."
".. a guarantee that i won't deny you?"
"no," she leaned forward. "a guarantee that there won't bloom special relationship whatsoever."
she's talking about the crucial rule of fantagio, one i am too afraid to talk about with her (i hope i won't have to, though)
ah shit, she's good.
"sure." i nodded. "can we perhaps ditch practice when we do?"
