It was a peaceful morning, the sun had just began to rise, It's golden rays casting amongst the wide, variant terrains of the land of Heltan. The sun's reflection danced on the water within the rivers that cascaded throughout the lands, reaching towards the wide lake In the middle and towards the mountain. The lake had a small Island In It, nothing has been built upon the Island. Creatures of all kinds, humans, hybrids, fairies, werewolves, wolves, felines, Insects, bugs and multiple more started to wake up as the sun slowly rose higher In the sky.
A kingdom surrounded by open, vast grassy plains. Within the kingdom walls, a girl with wavy brown hair and a red streak In It, woke up. She sat up from her bed, lightly brushing her hands down her gown. A young woman walked Into the girl's room, glancing at the girl with a timid look. "Princess Emma, King Kareem has requested you join him and your father, King Maddox, for breakfast." Spoke the young woman with a soft, silky voice. "Yes of course, Mary, thank you." Responded 'Emma', Mary stood there, looking at the princess as If asking to be dismissed. "Oh right, you're dismissed, Mary." Emma waved her hand, the young woman quickly turned and ushered out of her room, softly closing the door behind her. Emma stood from her bed, sighing as she silently walked her way over to a vanity. Her fingers grazed over a soft bristled brush, wrapping her hand around the handle, she lifted It and ran It though her hair. Getting rid of any tangles that might've occurred during her slumber. She placed the brush down, turning and walking to a fairly large closet. Her hand turned the knob to the closet, opening the door, she looked over the dresses. She finally settled upon a red one that matched the streak In her hair, the red dress had gold detailing along the torso and a black belt. It seemed to be made of silk, as she changed Into It, she sighed. "Sometimes I wish, I wasn't royalty..." She muttered to herself, heading back over to her vanity and sitting herself down upon the little stool there. She applied light makeup and red lipstick, standing up, Emma headed towards her door. As she walked out of her room, she headed down the stairs and to the dining room. As she entered the fairly large dining room, she glanced around. King Kareem sat at the very end of the long table which seemed to be the head of the table where he sat, to his left sat the queen of Kakari, and to the right of King Kareem, sat Emma's father. King Maddox of the kingdom Elaya. Emma quietly walked over to her fathers side and sat herself next to him, she kept quiet as she watched the adults converse.
As their food was served, they began to dig In. King Kareem put his fork down and Intertwined his fingers, placing his hands on the table. "If I may Interrupt, I have an announcement." Spoke the King with an Icy voice, the others at the table all stopped what they were doing and glanced to the King and Queen of Kakari, Interested. "As you all know, hybrids have always been a nuisance and a problem for centuries." He continued on, unknowing of the two hybrids In his kingdom. King Maddox simply nodded In reply, urging him to go on. "They have caused destruction, are the cause of more deaths then humans have caused In centuries." He continued on, he Inspected each and everyone of their reactions carefully. "So I have come to the conclusion, that we are banning hybrids from our lands. If any are caught within our lands, they will be publicly executed." He exclaimed, Emma's heart seemed to stop beating at that. She quickly hid her fear, trying to act normal, as If she was angry at hybrids. But In all honesty, how could she be mad at her own species? "Yamaroi did this a couple years ago, I see you are following." King Maddox spoke calmly, his cool, blue eyes locked onto Kareem. "Indeed, Yamaroi did ban hybrids from their lands, and I am following, for the safety of my people. I hope you will respect and understand my decision, Maddox." Spoke Kareem. "Yes, I do understand, safety Is a number one priority, but nonetheless, I will not be banning hybrids from my lands, but I will not support them either." He spoke with reason, looking to King Kareem with an emotion In his eyes that could not be understood. Emma felt sick to her stomach at the news of hybrids being publicly executed, she stood up. "Excuse me..." She whispered, keeping her head looking to the ground as she made her way out of the dining hall. She bit her tongue, she had options. Either she went back and listened to what King Kareem had to say, go upstairs and change and sneak out and find her friends to tell them of this, or Ignore It completely.
