"Igarashi", the green-haired girl greeted. Igarashi couldn't figure out her intention, why had she asked him to meet her? To tell him she had deleted the photo? He didn't care about that anymore. That was just the first piece which led him to the cluster-fuck he now lived in.
"Nishina", she smiled and sat down on a chair across him. What could she possibly want?
"I wanted to talk to you, I've wanted for awhile. You're fucking up the dynamics of our group and we obviously need to get Nana back, I think we both agree on that", she stated.
"But-", Igarashi wasn't sure about Nishina's plan. He wanted Nana back but why did Nishina care about that, did she really care for the group?
"No buts! I'm helping you no matter what. Don't worry about it, you can thank me later at my wedding with Serinuma- senpai!.. and I've already started so there is no going back", she sent him a cocky smile and left the room before he could think of a good answer for all that. So she wanted Serinuma, well that made sense. But how could they possibly get Nana back, it was hopeless. The case was lost long ago. And started? Started with what? What had the sneaky girl done? She possessed more power than one would think. Igarashi needed to get some fresh air. He really just wanted to be with Nana but he knew that some relationships weren't meant to be and that hurt.
Nanashima walked up to the roof to get some fresh air. He had to be alone, he needed time to think. Nana opened the door and saw him. Igarashi. He was standing against the fence, looking at the view through the small holes. He hadn't noticed Nana's entrance yet. Nananshima turned back, he wasn't ready for this. He jerked the handle but it was locked from the inside. Igarashi heard him and turned around, shocked to see Nana.
"It's stuck", was all Nana dared to say. He didn't want to further the conversation. Iga walked up to him and yanked the handle as well in a failed attempt to open the door. In realization, they started to hit, kick and scream at the door. Nothing worked and no one came to their rescue. Exhausted the two boys turned their backs against the door and slid down into sitting position. Neither said anything. They just sat there, waiting on the other to begin.
"I-", they both started simultaneously. Both of them let out a small giggle.
"The sun is going down", Igarashi said.
"They'll never find us", Nana joked.
"We'll be stuck here forever, dying in the company we hate", Iga laughed.
"I don't hate you", Nana changed the tone of the conversation. He had to. They had to talk about it sooner or later. "I was just mad and confused. I'm sorry I ignored you", Nana sighed. Iga chuckled.
"Yeah, no it's my fault. I'm sorry I screwed things up, I didn't mean for it. I don't hate you either", both of them were quiet. They had so much to say but still so little they actually needed to. Silence took over once again.
"The sky is really pretty", Nana finally said. It wasn't close to what he wanted to say but somehow it still conveyed the message.
"Yeah"
The two boys just looked at the colourful sky. Mesmerized by its beauty. Orange clashing with pink, yellow touching red and purple meeting the green grass. It was a beautiful mess. Nana naturally, without giving it thought leaned to Igarashi's shoulder and rested his head. They both just gazed at the show.
"I'm sorry I hurt you", Igarashi let out. "I just didn't know how to feel"
"Don't worry about it, let's just be friends now", Nana hastily spit out.
"NO!" Nana was taken aback. "I don't want to be friends because...I love you", Igas eyes were so intense there was no doubt in Nana's mind that he was speaking the truth. His stomach hurt, it tickled, it bubbled in joy. Nana didn't know what to say, after all this time, after all his wishes, there was noway. Iga grabbed his hand, squeezed it gently. Nana squeezed his back, if felt magical. Out of this world, like the mess suddenly made sense, it didn't feel like a mess anymore. It felt right. Like the mess in your room that no one except you quite gets, they were both in that room and that room was great. The last sun-rays hit their faces with heat before leaving them under a light purple heaven.
"I love you too", Nana chuckled. They leaned in and brushed their noses against each other. Happy, he just felt happy. With Igarashi, he felt at home. Stupid Igarashi had hurt him so many times but now, now at this moment nothing mattered, nothing could bother him. The raven and his sweet smile were all Nana could think about. Faces got closer, gazes met, amethyst and emerald converged.
They kissed.
Nana closed his eyes, tugging Igarashi's sleeves. He would never let go, this time Igarashi would stay. Igarashi's soft lips were glued to his. Nana dragged him down, yanking Igarashi towards himself by his collar. Igas hands cupped his face and forced their mouths to clumsily move together. Nothing could stop them. Igarashi nibbled on Nanas lower lip, tasting the sweet flesh. Nana opened his eyes, over him was a messy-raven-haired boy named Iga, and that boy was his and his only. Igarashi leaned in...
nothing could stop them.
The janitor opened the door.
The next day the two boys came together to the lunch table. Laughing and joking like normally but some details couldn't be missed, they were standing awfully close and constantly touching each other, something that would have gone un-noted for the untrained eye. Nishina smirked, she had succeeded with her mission. The others were stunned that Nana was back but didn't care to bring it up and instead just acted like normally. They were all just happy to have him back in their company.
"What happened?" Serinuma whispered softly into Nishina's ear.
"Everything can be fixed with the right contacts and some door tampering", Nishina snickered.
"I'm just glad they're not fighting", Serinuma sighed in relief. Nishina could tell that the purple-haired girl would regain her energy again and be just as full of joy like she used to be. Iga picked up a piece of meat with his chopsticks and fed Nana.
"i'm not a child!" Nana whined.
"Well you make a bigger mess than one", Iga teased.
"Remember the time Igarashi wore a pink tutu", Mutsumi-senpai innocently brought up. Nana and Shinomiya laughed in union.
"Ayye! Don't bring that up out of nowhere!"
"It's okay Iga, you can be my princess", Nana jokingly grabbed his head and pulled him closer.
"As if I'm the princess, cat-boy", Igarashi scoffed. The girls happily enjoyed the show. While the boys joked around Nishina turned to Serinuma.
"Well, the boys seem to be having fun. Where's my prize?" Serinuma kissed Nishina on her cheek. "That's it?" in embarrassment she turned away.
"Later", Serinuma muttered, blush covering her cheeks. It was so worth it, Nishina thought to herself.
