truth
'I've got an idea' I heard him say.
I looked at my friend from above the book that I was reading.
'Again?' I said, while closing the book and smiling slightly.
I and Gellert were sitting in my room, because it was too hot outside. I was sitting on a chair next to my desk, he was laying on the floor. I think he had been playing with his wand, but at the moment he was staring at the ceiling.
'Let's play a game'
I put my book on the desk and turned around to him. He sat. His head was at the height of my belly button.
'What kind of game have you created this time?' I asked.
He smirked.
'For the next 10 minutes, we'll talk honestly'
'What? I thought we're always honest with each other'
'We are, Albus, but I...'
He stopped, thinking deeply about his next words.
'We will ask each other questions. The other person must answer them honestly. No lies' He smiled.
'Hmm... Okay then'
The golden-haired cheered up and sat on a bed. Our knees were almost touching.
He glanced at a clock on the wall and looked me deeply in my eyes.
I felt something strange in my stomach.
'Have you ever been in a relationship?' he asked, looking at me.
'We've already talked about it...' I reminded him.
'But you weren't being honest. I know you weren't'
'But I...'
'You can tell me. Why do you not want to talk about it?'
'I have been in a relationship...' I said quietly. The blond-haired opened his mouth to say something, but I stopped him.
'It's my turn'
'I'm waiting'
I thought about it for a moment.
'Listen, I was wondering...'
'Yes..?'
I wasn't looking at him anymore. The question I wanted to ask him was too inappropriate.
'What do you think of... what do you think of homosexuals?' I asked quietly. I wanted to ask him about it for some time already (it couldn't be long, because we knew each other for about a week).
No one said anything for a few moments.
I looked at Gellert once again and I noticed his weirdly nice smile.
'Do you need to tell me something, Al?'
I blushed.
'Hey! Ot's my turn to ask!'
'Oh, yeah' He started to play with his fingers 'To be honest, I don't understand why do people hate them so much. For me, anyone should be able to love who they want to'
My respect for him raised up.
'I think the same'
'Are you a homosexual, Al?'
'Gellert!' I yelled.
'What? I thought we were being honest'
'Well...'
I looked at the floor.
'Al, you can tell me'
'Maybe I am...'
'What do you mean maybe? Are you or are you not?'
'I am'
My face was burning.
'Was it really that hard to tell me?' he said, while laughing, but his eyes were understanding.
'Do you like someone?' I said bravely.
To my surprise, Grindelwald didn't even hesitate.
'Yes. Do you like me, Al?'
I looked at him as he was crazy.
'Why do you think so?' I asked calmly.
'I'm not assuming anything. It's just a question. Do you like me?' he repeated.
I noticed he was smiling. It was not his typical smile. It was honest and joyful.
'What do you think?' I asked.
'I think you do' he stood up 'But I also think that if you just told me, it would be easier for me to confess my feelings'
'What...?' I whispered.
'Well, what is your answer? Do you like me or do I have to look for feelings somewhere else?' he stood right in front of me. I was not able to breath.
'Ye-es...' I stuttered.
'Come on, say it! I want to hear it' he leaned towards me.
'I like you a lot'
'I like you too' he kissed me and I thought I was already in Paradise.
He put his fingers in my hair and I put my hands on his cheeks.
Paradise.
