"Poets are Patriots!"
"Have your eyes been blinded by the luminance so dim?
Have your ears been deafened with the dire silence that scream?"
A poor child living on a slum,
keening for spoils on a can -
just to satiate his hunger.
He's always waiting for the drops of dew, waiting for the clouds to pour out its rue -
just to satisfy his thirst.
Nothing significant on a dump ground where he resides:
Nothing more to see on the sod-
Nothing more and nothing less,
Nothing but dire streets covered with blood.
But this is the world as could be;
slicking scarlet monstrosity!
In a Pandora's box he was locked,
as if it was his fetter;
too innocent,
too pure,
too feeble -
to face such horrifying terror!
And on a pitch-dark night,
No luminance of light,
Not even a gleam on sight;
A tear fell from his eye,
As he watched his dreams gone by,
And his visions flew bye,
He then whispered to the sky:
"Goodbye, my dreams goodbye..."

A/N:
This is the grim reality of my country. Woe to me, if I dare not speak!
To JovilettJames who also shared to me her insight about patriotism. Thank you so much.
