Before Ghetsis's defeat, Cheren visited the Giant Chasm to confirm N's suspicions; he was right. The chamber where Kyurem was supposedly at its strongest when being there had machines installed everywhere.

A platform caught Cheren's eyes, as he realized that it was going to be the device Colress will use to control Kyurem.

"He's going to use Touko as well... I can't let him do that!" Cheren swore to himself.

With the data chip in hand, he began setting his plan into motion. He was fully aware of the consequences that the data chip provided. 'A life for a life', Rosa had mentioned. He thought about her words, yet it never changed his final decision.

Cheren knew the data chip was the transferable key needed to shift the energy Colress's device required to something else.

"...yet the energy is so strong, it could destroy anything... anything."

He took out his Pokédex, recalling all the memories he had with White and Bianca, and Black as well. He explored all of Unova to register Pokémon data onto the device. Now that White had completed Unova Pokédex—now the majority of the National Pokédex, there was barely a reason for Cheren to continue.

Cheren taught children in Aspertia City—he realized that there would have to be another teacher teaching them instead of him.

"Touko, I'm probably the naive one. If I had tried harder... maybe... would you look at me the same way you look at N?" Cheren muttered to himself before sighing. "It's too late now. I could move on, but... my final purpose will be done here."

He installed the chip into his Pokédex and began adjusting the settings on Colress's machines. Afterwards, he rearranged his Pokédex so that it became a manual controller. This was the one shot he had. If he failed, White would never receive her happy ending.

He couldn't have her face that, after all the things she had been through.

Suddenly, Cheren heard a tremor. His Liepard ran to him, signalling to him about something approaching. Cheren knew Colress was coming and had just finished adjusting things.

"Liepard, help me hide!" Cheren whispered, hopping onto its back as the feline Pokémon sprinted away from the scene, as Colress descends from the opening above the Chasm.

"Bianca! Ghetsis has been defeated, but Colress is the next mastermind in freezing Unova. You need to tell Rood to send people to the Giant Chasm. We're going to face Colress there," Black informed her.

"Strange enough for you to say that. Anthea and Concordia told us beforehand. It was inside intel, according to them. We're already heading there. Meet me outside of the cave, okay?"

Black nodded and turned off his Xtransciever, having his Charizard fly him to the Giant Chasm behind Hugh's Unfezant and Nate's Genesect. The three Pokémon were faster than the platform holding Kyurem. Black knew he had to hold off from stopping White, even though it was painful to endure.

When they arrived, Black noticed N entering the cave. He would've called him out, but decided against that. However, it seemed Bianca and the rest of Team Plasma were already there by the time the three male trainers had arrived.

"Black! Down here!" Bianca called out.

The three trainers landed beside the group. Anthea and Concordia were with them as well, presenting them their Pokéballs that they left them in the ladies' care.

"Bianca, Touko is being controlled by Colress. She's not in her stable mindset at the moment. You and the others need to be careful."

Bianca nodded. "N is aware of that as well. You guys are really ahead of things, aren't you? Anyways, I wanted to give you this. Remember him?"

She brought out a Pokéball and handed it to Black. When he released the Pokémon Black wanted to cry.

Samurott; his Pokémon starter appeared from the Pokéball.

"Alder ran into him as he was heading to Opelucid City. He and Drayden were evacuating people and he happened to have run into him. It looks like he wants to join you for this final battle," Bianca explained.

Black dropped to his knees, allowing Samurott to tackle him happily.

"Welcome back, Samurott. Let's go save Touko together!"

Samurott nodded, crying out loud a roar of resolution

N entered the Cave Depths of the Giant Chasm with Zekrom, where he noticed Colress behind his set of machines. What shocked N was the Light Stone in Colress's arms.

"You must be N, the former king of Team Plasma. I don't think we've met before..." Colress looked up from his machine. "...judging from the presence of Zekrom, it seems you're not here on mutual terms with me."

"Are you planning on fusing Kyurem with Reshiram using the DNA Splicers? What goals would you accomplish by freezing Unova? And where is Touko?"

Colress pushed his glasses up with two fingers.

"I have decided to quit Neo Team Plasma a while ago, so this is solely something that I personally want to execute. And by Touko, do you mean White? She's been quite useful to me, you see. It was that battle in Driftveil City, as well as the battle two years ago, that showed me the capabilities that the bond between Trainers and Pokémon can achieve."

He stepped out and stood in front of his machines, holding a remote and the Light Stone with precision. "Now you will have the honour of witnessing Absofusion!"

As Colress spoke, White descends from the top opening on the platform caging Kyurem. At first, N was heartbroken and startled at White's appearance but faithfully reminded himself that White wouldn't willingly join people like Colress. He clenched his fist, vowing to free White from Colress's grasp.

"Zekrom, be careful... Kyurem is stronger than usual now that Kyurem's here," N warned.

Zekrom stepped back, prepared to jump into the air once N gave the command.

Once the platform landed on the ground, White hopped off and stood by Colress's side. The scientist handed the Light Stone over to White, as the Champion stepped forward in front of Kyurem.

"Now Kyurem, commence with Absofusion! Fuse with Reshiram to become White Kyurem!"

Colress presented the DNA Splicers and allowed it to float in the air before being sent straight towards Kyurem. N held tight onto Zekrom's back at the possible impact. Once the DNA Splicers got in contact with Kyurem, the ice on its wings shattered and revealed gray tendril-like appendages. Each appendage shoots a purple beam towards the Light Stone, lifting the artifact in the air.

Soon, Kyurem was surrounded by flames, as its body begins to morph, fusing with Reshiram. Once the process was finished, the two Pokémon were one.

"Reshiram..." N muttered under his breath.

"Behold! White Kyurem! Such a new Pokémon must hold great strength!" Colress turned to N and Zekrom. "Let's test it, shall we? White, would you have the honours?"

"White Kyurem, use Ice Burn," White commanded.

"Zekrom, we have to avoid it," N informed Zekrum.

Zekrom leapt into the air, as White Kyurem creates a purple-blue sphere of energy surrounded by yellow-orange flames in front of its body. It fires at Zekrom, whose speed barely dodges the explosive attack, which created a large crater to where Zekrom once stood.

N was mortified with the immense strength he had witnessed, but he was still determined to stop Colress from proceeding.

"Zekrom, the energy is too strong. If we can stall Kyurem from attacking, maybe we can buy Black and the others some more time," N stated.

Zekrom nodded and hovered in the air around White Kyurem. Its tail begins to glow light blue with electricity, as it covers itself in a sphere of violet electricity. It speeds to White Kyurem, proceeding to slam it with its body.

"White Kyurem, use Ice Burn once more," White ordered.

White Kyurem fires another beam towards Zekrom, landing its mark and causing Zekrom to be sent backwards. Its body slammed against the wall, losing balance which caused N to stumble off. Before N landed on the ground, Black arrived and had Musharna catch him.

Behind Black was Hugh, Nate, Bianca, and Team Plasma. They were shocked by the new appearance of Kyurem but focused on Colress and White.

"I'm welcome to an audience, but I'm afraid the show's about to end. As you have seen a few minutes ago, that flame was one of the ultimate moves Kyurem is capable of. Freezing Unova... I wonder what results from that I will achieve."

Black pressed his hands on N's shoulders, forcing him to look at Black in the eye.

"Even though they have been fused, Reshiram's soul is still somewhere in there. You need to communicate with it!"

"B-but Touko—"

"It is no use! Though I'm surprised there is another person who is capable of speaking to Pokémon, I'm confident that White's abilities are far more superior!" Colress exclaimed.

Rood stepped forward, angered by his words.

"White is a Trainer that's beyond the average point—we will admit that; however, our Lord N was raised with Pokémon! He is capable of understanding their hearts beyond what White is capable of! We will not allow you to belittle our Lord and get away with it!"

"Touya! N!"

Cheren called out to them, hopping off of Liepard once he's with the rest of the group.

"Nate, lend me your Arcanine. N, hand me Serperior's Pokéball," Cheren requested.

Both people handed their Pokéballs to Cheren, who brought both of them out.

"Alright, this is the plan. I have a way to temporarily turn off all of Colress's machines—" Everyone was surprised by Cheren's resolution, especially Colress himself whose eyes widened at the idea. "—N, Rosa, Bianca, Anthea, Concordia, and I will be in charge of holding off Touko. The rest of you need to defeat Colress and find a way to separate Kyurem from Reshiram. So long as Colress has White under his control, we have no ways in stopping him and White Kyurem."

"The machines are the controls. It doesn't seem like something that can be destroyed easily," Nate noted.

Cheren nodded in response. "I know; that's why I need everyone to buy me time. I have a way to finish everything, but I still need to adjust a few things. Nate, please also lend me your police toolkit. It's time to end things."

Nate handed over the kit in his bag. Everyone else gathered together, getting their Pokéballs ready to fight.

Cheren took out his Pokédex and opened it, attempting to examine Serperior. However, he pressed a button that he had installed on the Pokédex, causing it to be covered in blue static. In an instant, Colress's machines also engulfed in electricity as well.

White's headband caused the electricity to shock White into immobility. She groaned in pain, gripping onto her metal band.

"Okay, now Serperior, before she sends out Lucario, I need you to constrict her."

Serperior leapt forward with incredible speed. Before White was able to reach for Lucario's Pokéball, her body wrapped around her Trainer's and tightly secured her. White screeched out loud, but Serperior knew she couldn't falter.

"Hurry Arcanine, use Teleport! N, follow me! Touya, I expect you to cover us!" Cheren exclaimed.

Arcanine dashed forward towards Serperior, engulfing them both in the light before disappearing. Concordia and Anthea, understanding the situation, had Gardevoir and Gothitelle teleport part of the group with Cheren. As Colress sent out his Pokémon, Black retaliated by sending out Samurott.

★𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞★

White~

A lot of things were a blur. However, my head was in immense pain and I couldn't move my body. Colress had me wear a white Team Plasma garment, saying that the black one didn't suit me. After that, everything was blank.

I opened my eyes and saw Bianca, Anthea, and Concordia looking down upon me.

"White! Hey, are you okay? You know who we are, right?" Bianca questioned.

I looked to my side and noticed Serperior who was hugging my body, later loosening up and allow me to rest on her body comfortably When I stared into her eyes, I noticed an expression filled with guilt and sorrow. I smiled and raised my hand towards Serperior's face.

"Hey Serperior, what's wrong?" I asked.

"I think Serperior is feeling upset that it had to restrain you. You screeched in pain, you know? Serperior looked like it was about to cry," Bianca predicted.

I let out a breath. "Bianca, Serperior's a female. Can't you address her as such."

"Come on, White! I'm not you! I can't identify their genders simply by looking at them, okay?" Bianca huffed.

I heard Anthea and Concordia giggle towards her comment.

"White, or Touko in this case, we're glad to see you're out of Colress's control," Concordia commented.

"Yes, it's good to have you back for the time being," Anthea added.

"Cheren went off somewhere. He has an idea of how to stop Colress's machines from functioning. I have complete faith that he'll succeed in his plan—now that I've mentioned it, the Striaton Gym Leaders have opened up their restaurant in Striaton City. Cheren recommended for us to check it out!" Bianca suggested.

"Okay," I sighed, glancing up at Serperior again. She smiled towards me, loosening up so I can feel more comfortable. I've also noticed another Pokémon with us—an Arcanine.

I noticed N sitting on large rocks with Lucario. Seeing Lucario's conflicted expression made my heartache, but the sight of N having the same expression didn't help me at all.

As I got up to a sitting position, I noticed Rosa standing behind Concordia and Anthea, with her back turned towards me.

"Rosa~! Why don't you greet White? She won't bite, I promise!" Bianca encouraged.

However, I noticed Rosa didn't move at all. The Foongus that rested on her head turned in our direction. I can tell from its expression that Rosa's not feeling positive about things—I assumed it was because of the incident back on the Ferris wheel.

I got up on my feet, with Serperior and Arcanine staying close to me, and I approached Rosa to place my hand on her shoulder.

"It's not your fault, Rosa. I knew you didn't purposefully place the gas in the cart. It's just... I don't want N to be used as other people's gains."

★𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞★

Cheren rushed to a deeper section of the cave with his Liepard. Once Cheren knew he was far from where both Touko and Touya's group were, he began to set his plans into action.

He sat down and took out his Pokédex. The glitches were still present, which indicated that the effect will last a bit longer; however, Cheren couldn't bank on the fact it could explode at any minute. With a moment to think, Cheren motioned Liepard to come closer to him.

"Liepard, I guess you'll be the person I'll say my last goodbyes to," he said, stroking the feline Pokémon's head. "I can't understand Pokémon as Touko can, but I hope travelling with me two years ago and staying by my side were happy moments for you."

Liepard gazed up at its Trainer's face, conflicted as to what was going to happen to him.

"I can't drag you and the others down with me, so—"

Cheren was thankful to himself that he brought his blue coat from two years ago. He placed all of his Pokémon's Pokéballs inside each pocket, as well as the other things he wanted to preserve. After that, he tied his coat around Liepard's torso.

"—Take these to Touko—no, wait... Bianca. I can't let Touko be hurt by my departure. Can you give these to Bianca? Everything I wish to tell all of my friends is all there."

Liepard hastily shook its head and approached Cheren to cuddle its head against Cheren's arm.

Cheren smiled at Liepard's actions. "I don't know when the chip will trigger its explosive effect, but I managed to find a way to make all of Colress's machines self destruct. I hope Touya can defeat Colress and White Kyurem quickly. Now hurry, find Bianca."

Liepard sped off after hearing Cheren's instructions. Afterwards, Cheren continued to modify his tampered Pokédex, for the hack to trigger its effects. It was a fifty-fifty gamble, where it could succeed or fail.

However, Cheren wasn't the type to back down easily. He will accomplish his goal.

"Touko, protect yourself from now on. Look after Bianca and the others for me..." he muttered to himself.

As he did, the conflicted feline Pokémon hid behind a large rock, watching as its Trainer continue to set up a final act of commitment.
