Seto's POV
I walk out of school rain drizzling onto my jacket. I look around realizing I really had nothing to do, usually I'd go to Brice's and hang out there, but now I didn't have anywhere to go. I weigh my choices and decide to head to the park. It was mainly empty considering it was still raining, I walk over to a building and sit down under the awning. I really just wanted to talk to him, but if this is what it takes then I guess I'll have to deal. I hated that his dad couldn't accept that Brice was gay, all this time apart would do nothing. I move to the edge of the awning barely letting the rain fall on my face looking at the sky. The sky was a pretty grey color complimenting my mood. I shiver as the chilling rain fell on my face, it wasn't necessarily freezing cold, but it wasn't very warm either. I slip my hands under the sleeves of Brice's hoodie creating sweater paws. I hadn't taken this hoodie off since Brice gave it to me. I smile and look at my hand where a black and silver ring was. Brice actually proposing to me still seemed unreal. I mean why me? I wasn't even close to being perfect I still didn't know why Brice put up with me.

"Hey daydreamer" I look up to see Jordan walking up to me, "Oh hey Jordan" He smiles and sits next to me, "What's up? You seem down" I shrug my shoulders, "Nothing, just thinking a lot" he smiles at me, "Now what are you thinking about so much?" "Oh family drama, and such" he moves closer to me, "You shouldn't have to worry your pretty little head about those things" I smile, "Thanks Jordan"

He looks up towards the park entrance and I see a few of the more popular kids standing a bit away under a tree, "Hey a bunch of my friends and I are going to go ice skating, you wanna come?" I stare at him, "Ice skating? Where would we go ice skating?" He stands up and laughs, "The mall has a skating rink, so you in?" he extends his hand out to me. I look up at him and then at his friends, "I think I'll pass, I wouldnt want your friends thinking you're lame because you hang out with me" he looks at his friends for a second then smiles, "I don't care if they think I'm lame, I like hanging out with you and that's all that matters" he grabs my hand and pulls me up.

We walk over to his friends me kinda hiding behind him. "Hey guys this is Seto, he'll be joining us if that's okay?" his friends kinda just shrug and say okay. But a girl stares at me, "Really guys? We're gonna let him tag along with us?" everyone looks at her then at me. Jordan rolls his eyes, "Do you have to be such a bitch Jaden?" the girl named Jaden looks at Jordan and smirks, "You know you could have given to charity a different way" a few of the other kids snicker and I look down at the ground. "Fuck off Jaden, just leave him alone" I was surprised to hear a voice that wasn't Jordan's sticking up for me. I look up slightly and see one of the other boys staring at Jaden. He was a tall, dark skinned kid, and from the looks of his jacket he was basically almost all muscle. His name was something like Kade or Kyle, he was on the football team with Jordan that was all I really knew about him.

Jaden stares a bit shocked at him, "Really Kydrin, you're gonna stick up for this loser?" he rolls his eyes, "Why the hell does it matter so much?" Kydrin asks, "Why the hell does it not matter to the rest of you?" she looks around at the rest of the people before yelling and storming off.

Everyone kinda waits till she leaves before praising Kydrin. I look at everyone confused, "Wait I thought she was your guys's friend" Jordan shrugs, "I don't know about friend, but she kinda just hangs around us bitching about things and creating drama" I nod, "Then why do you put up with her?" I ask. One of the other girls answers, "Cause she has no other friends, she's too annoying" the other guys laughs, "Yeah, she just tags along with us wherever like a stalker calling us her friends" I laugh slightly, "We can't personally stand her, but her families loaded so we get a few perks" Kydrin adds in. "That's a bit mean to use her" I say and then immediately cover my mouth I just met these guys I didn't need them thinking I was already lame as hell. But to my surprise the girl laughs and walks over to me putting an arm around me, "Yeah I guess you're right, besides there is not enough money in the world for us to continue to put up with her" I laugh again. We all start walking to the mall talking about anything that came to mind.

We get to the mall and everyone rents skates. I didn't bring money so Jordan pays for me, "You really didn't need to" I say as I tie the laces to the skates. "Hey no, honestly I don't mind" he stands up, "okay you ready?" "I thin-ahh" I try to stand and my legs give away making me fall flat on my face. I hear Jordan trying to stifle a laugh, I pick my head up and sigh, "No, I am not ready" he laughs and shakes his head. He helps me up and holds my hand trying to steady me, "Jeez Seto this is meant to be the easy part" "Shut up, isn't my fault that I'm not used to blades on the bottom of my feet" We make it to the entrance after several attempts, "Have you ever gone ice skating before?" I'm about to answer, but I trip and cling to his arm. He laughs again, "I'll take that as a no" we get onto the ice and I'm clinging to the wall for support. "Jesus, Seto you'll never learn if you don't stop hugging the wall!" I look up at him standing a bit away from me, "Shut up will you?" he laughs and skates over to me. He grabs onto my hands and pulls me away from the wall, "Jesus I'm gonna die" he smiles at me, "You're not gonna die Seto okay?" I shake my head, "No"

He pulls me around the rink once and by then my feet are killing me, "Okay that's it I give up!" I say clinging to the wall again. Jordan looks at me and smiles, "Okay I'm gonna go take a few more laps with my friends, just go sit down okay? We'll leave in a bit" I nod my head and watch him skate away. I shake my head and somehow make it to the shop where you rent the skates. I undo the skates from my feet and rub my feet. "Ugh this was a great idea" I mumble under my breathe. I make my way out of the shop my legs wobbly, "I'm never skating again" I take another step and trip over my own feet. I groan and contemplate just staying on the ground when a voice interrupts my thoughts, "Hey you okay there Seto?" I look up and see Lachlan in front of me, "Oh hey Lachlan" I start to stand up and he helps. "Have a nice trip?" I shove him slightly while he laughs, "Shut up. Why are you here?" he shrugs, "Preston wanted to get something so we came here, what about you?" I brush off my jacket, "I'm here with Jordan, he's out there ice skating" I point over to the rink. Lachlan nods his head before becoming serious, "So how you doing?" I sigh and scratch the back of my neck, "If I'm being honest, not so good" he smiles at me slightly, "Yeah I know this must suck" I shrug, "It doesn't suck as much as it really just hurts" Lachlan smiles at me again, "Yeah so I should probably warn you that he's coming right around the corner now" my eyes dart over to see Brice come around with Preston. They hadn't seen me yet so I dart behind Lachlan who just laughs, "Hey why not head into the shop I'll get them away from you"I smile at him gratefully before heading into the skate rental shop. I listen closely as I hear an all too familiar voice approach with Preston, "Hey Lachlan you ready to go?" Lachlan laughs slightly, "Eager to get going someplace Brice?" I hear him sigh, "Eh not really, without Seto I don't have much to do" I smile as I hear this.

That's when I hear Jordan's voice join in on the conversation, "Oh hey guys!" my heart stops slightly. "Oh hey Jordan" I hear Brice say meekly, I have no idea what Jordan will say, but I pray he avoids the topic of me. "Have any of you guys seen Seto?" I slap my hand to my face. I hear a few clear their throats before Brice answers slightly angry, "No, and why would you care about where he is?" my heart is beating out of my chest at this point, "Well we came here together, I'm actually surprised that you aren't with him Brice, but I guess he just prefers me" Jordan says with a bit of a laugh like he's joking, but I can hear how cocky he sounds as well. I can almost imagine Brice's face contort with anger as he replies, "Well I really don't think that he does, considering the fact that I'm the one dating him he probably prefers me" I can nearly hear him grinding his teeth as he says those words. Jordan laughs again slightly, "I guess that could be the case, but then why aren't you with him?" I really just wanna run over and hug Brice, telling him to calm down and that I did prefer him over Jordan. Though Lachlan kinda helps, "Umm actually Jordan I think I saw Seto go into one of those shops over there" he quickly buts in. I breathe a sigh of relief and make a mental note to praise Lachlan later. "Thanks there Lachy, I'll see you guys later yeah?"

He leaves and I can finally breathe again, "Well that was interesting" Preston says, I now hoped Lachlan would guide the guys away from the store and away from me, so I could make a break for it. "Brice are you okay?" I hear Lachlan ask, "Oh yes Lachlan I am perfectly okay, knowing my boyfriend is here with another guy is completely fine!" I look down in shame, maybe it would've been better if I hadn't gone out with Jordan. "Dude calm down, you know Seto isn't like that" Preston chimes in, "Yeah I know, but I saw them being all chummy this morning. Looks like it doesn't take long for Seto to replace me" I feel my heart ache, does he really think I'd do that to him? I sink down to floor my back pressed against the wall, I feel a tear fall down my face, maybe this is how he really feels about me? Maybe that's who I really am, just a user. "Alright that's enough Brice," I lift my head up to the sound of Lachlans voice, "look I know that you're mad and upset because of everything going on with your parents and Seto, but remember that Setos going through the same thing as you. Don't be mad at him, he loves you, and I'm sure there's a reason behind his actions." I sit frozen for a while after Lachlan finishes. I couldn't believe that he was sticking up for me like that. Brice sighs, "Okay okay, you're right. I know it's just, I'm mad that Jordan gets to spend time with my boyfriend and I don't!" I sigh and look down again, I guess it was pretty unfair. Lachlan laughs, "I know dude, just give it some time. Now come on let's go get something really unhealthy for us!" Preston cheers and Brice just laughs, "Alright let's go" I hear their footsteps fading away, I stand up and walk outside the store and look to see them at a doughnut store a couple stores from me. "Hey, there you are Seto" I turn around and see Jordan, "Oh hey, what's up?" he just smiles at me, "Not much, just had a hard time finding you is all" I laugh, "Well here I am" he laughs as well, "Great, so you ready to go?" I nod my head and begin following him to the exit, but something is bugging me to turn around. I let the urge take over and I see Brice standing in line looking at me. I catch his gaze for half a second before he turns away embarrassed. I stop walking and just continue to look at him, he frowns and turns to look at me again. We look at each other for a few seconds before I smile and wave at him, he seems a tad shocked before he smiles and waves back to me. "Seto?" I turn and look at Jordan, "Coming" I glance towards Brice one more time before running over to Jordan. Jordan walks me home, and I collapse on my bed. I pull out my phone and send a quick I love you to Brice. Afterwards I toss my phone away from me, this so far was the hardest day of my life. "The first days always the hardest" with that thought in my mind I fall into a dreamless sleep.
