Brice's POV

I walk into my house dropping my school bag next to the front door. I'm about to just head up to me room when I hear talking in the living room. I walk in to see two priests sitting on the couch opposite of my parents. I clear my throat and they all look at me, "Oh you must be Brice" one of the priests says standing up to shake my hand. I stare at him and his hand not willing to take it. He just smiles at me, "I know this might be a confusing and frustrating time for you Brice so I get why you won't take my hand" I laugh and stare at him, "I'm not confused about anything, frustrating is definitely the word to describe me right now" I look over at my dad who's staring at me. I sigh before talking towards my father, "You can tell the priests to leave, I'm taking your deal. I won't talk or interact with Seto for a few weeks" my dads face contourts from confusion to joy. He stands up and starts to walk towards me, "Oh Brice I knew you'd see it my way I always-" he was about to hug me but I push him away and send him a look of hate. He looks taken back by my rejection, "You don't get it do you dad?" I ask hate running through my body, "Brice please-" he rraches out to touch me but I swat his hand away, "Don't touch me, I don't wanna ignore Seto. I'm doing this so I can keep Seto here, not to make sure I'm gay cause I am and nothing you say or do will change that!" I'm breathing heavily tears threatening to fall from my eyes.

I turn around and run up to my room, I fall on my bed tears falling from my eyes onto the cover. I hear my phone go off, but ignore it I didn't feel like talking to anyone. It goes off a few more times before I give in and look at my messages.

Seto❣: So we're starting tomorrow yah?

Seto❣: ?

Seto❣: Brice what's up?

Seto❣: Are we starting now then?

Seto❣: Okay...well night Brice I love you

I facepalm and tears are falling again from my face. I quickly type back, and pray for a response.

Brice: I'm sorry for not responding I was mad at my parents. We're starting tomorrow not tonight please type back.

I wait for a response just staring at the lit screen. Minutes go by and still no response. I curse myself for not answerinf him immediately. I'm about to just turn my phone off entirely when I hear a tiny ding. I rush to open my phone and smile big when I see Seto's name.

Seto❣: It's fine Brice just glad to hear from you. What'd your parents do this time?

Brice: My dad tried to hug me and tell me how proud he was of my choice to ignore you

Seto❣: Oh Brice, hey it's okay. Just for a few weeks right?

Brice: I fell apart from being without you for not even a day how am I gonna manage?

Seto❣: I can text you I love you every night?

Brice: Would you be willing to?

Seto❣: Of course babe, I love you

Brice: Thanks Seto, hey what time is it?

Seto❣: 830. Why?

I smile at this and start crunching numbers in my head. If I was gonna survive weeks without him I had to see him tonight.

Brice: What time is lights out for you?

Seto❣: 10, again why?

Brice: Will you be able to get out of the house say 11:00ish?

Seto❣: Yeah more than likely, probably have to sneak out though, now why?!

I smile as he seems to be getting itritated with me. I check my clock and think about what I have to prepare when my phone goes off again.

Seto❣: Brice!!! Why?!?!?

I chuckle at his impatience, but type back a quick response.

Brice: You'll see, just get to the park by 11:00

Seto❣: Ugh fine

I smile bigger before turning off my phone and running to my closet. I pull out one of my old hoodies and toss it into a bag. I then go to my dresser and pull out a blanket again tossing it into the bag. I spend a little more time packing a few more things before glancing at my clock and seeing it barely being nine. I fall onto my bed staring up at my ceiling when someone knocks on my door. I walk over and open my door to see my mom standing in front of me, "Mom? What's up?" she smiles at me before starting to walk into my room. She looks around before sitting on my bed and patting the spot next to her. I sit down next to her and she immediately hugs me, "Woah mom what's with the surprise hug?" she smiles at me even bigger, "Well it's been you and your father talking about your opinions about your sexuality that I haven't gotten my opinion in" I smile at her softly, "Sorry about that, so what is your opinion?" she hugs me again, "Whatever your prefernce is I will always love and support you, besides having Seto as a son in law wouldn't be the worst thing in the world" I smile at her before hugging her again. I feel tears falling down my face as I hug her, it was nice to know that atleast one person in my family understood that I really loved Seto.

My mom and I talk about a few more things before she heads off. I smile to myself and feel more confident about my plan for tonight. At least no matter what my mom had my back in this. I look at the time and see it's now ten, just a little longer.

When it's ten-thirty I grab my jacket and bag beginning to head out of the house. I'm almost out when I hear a voice, "Brice?" I sigh and turn around to see my sister, "What'd you want?" she looks at me then at my bag, "What are you doing Brice? Running away will not solve your problems" I roll my eyes at her, "I'm not running away you idiot, I'm going for a run and this has water and an extra jacket" now that wasn't a lie I did have water and a jacket in my bag. She stares at me, "Then what time will you be back? It's a school night you know" I groan, "Probably around midnight and last time I checked you're not my parents so leave me alone" I turn around and open the door running into the night.

I arrive at the park at ten-fifty five, I walk in and see a guard searching the area. I hide behind a statue, as soon as he's completely behind me I run towards Seto's tree and climb it getting onto the branch where I wouldn't be seen. I look at my phone and see the time is ten-fifty nine. It changes to eleven and I look out into the park, but see no one not even that guard. "Who yah looking for?" I jump at the voice behind me, I smile as I see it's just Seto, "Jesus you scared me" he laughs slightly before sitting next to me on the branch. He leans his head onto my shoulder and shivers, "So why'd you bring me out here Brice?" I smile as I reach into the bag grabbing the blanket and draping it over us. He looks at me and shakes his head at me with a smile, "What you seemed cold" "Thanks" he leans his head back onto my shoulder, "I really love you Brice" I kiss his head, "I love you too Seto, but I didn't bring you out here to just sit in this tree" he picks up his head and tilts it at me, "What else you got planned Brice?" I removd the blanket from me and proceed to drop down onto the grass with a soft thump, "Come on Seto" he drops after me literally making no sound at all. I stare at him dumbfounded, "How the hell are you a legit ninja" he smiles before kissing me, "All thanks to practice babe"

He attempts to take a step forward, but he still has the blanket wrapped around him which gets tangled around his feet and legs. He's about to fall, but I grab his waist and catch him, "How's all that practice working out for yah?" "Shut up" he says through laughs. I lean down to kiss him when someone yells at us, "Hey what're you two doing here?!" we don't even look back as we book it towards the exit of the park laughing.

We run till we're far away from the park, I hear Seto panting but can see a smile on his face thanks to the full moon, "Well that was great excersise Brice, but was that really your plan?" I shake my head, "No Seto, my plan is about to begin, but first here you're going to keep tripping with that blanket and I saw you didn't have your cloak on" he hands me the blanket while shrugging, "I didn't have time to grab it" I push the blanket back in the bag and pull out my hoodie. I hand him the hoodie and see a smile on his face, "Thanks Brice" he puts it on, but it's definately too big for him. I smile before wrapping my arms around him, "That's so big on you" he buries his head into my chest, "I know, but I love it" I hug him tighter. I let go of him and reach back into my bag and hand him a bottle, he takes it and looks at ut confused, "Wine? Brice where'd you get this from?" I shrug and take it from him, "Parents liquor cabinet"

I open up the bottle and take a drink, "I now understand why people are alcoholics" Seto just laughs, "Have you never drank before Brice?" I shake my head, "Not really, but now I might start" he laughs again and takes the bottle from me drinking.

We end up at the back of an old abandoned building sitting on the blanket just taking turns drinking. Seto laughs before hugging me, "This has officially been the best date ever" "And it's about to get better" I take the bottle and put it on the ground before standing up. I go over to the bag and pull out a small box. I walk back over to Seto and reach my hand out to him. He smiles and takes it, "Seto you know I love you right?" he laughs again, "Yeah I know, what's up?" I take both his hands into mine and stare into those beautiful brown eyes of his. "Never will I forget me asking you to be my partner, and then asking you to be my boyfriend" he just smiles again, "I know Brice, I won't forget that either" I kiss him quickly on the lips, "I'll never forget how quickly you changed my life, from okay to great" he chuckles, "Wow it seems like such a long time ago, but it was only a few months ago Brice" I place my hands on his waist and pull him closer to me, "You are the love of my life, and I always want you to know that" I let go of his waist and drop down on one knee, "Brice what're you-?" "No matter what, I need you to know I love you" I pull out the box from behind my back, "Brice?" I look up at him to see confusion on his face, "I know we're still young, but would you be willing to marry me?" I open the box and see his shock just on his face. "Brice, you're actually being serious?" I nod my head, "So will you?" he covers his face with his hand before nodding slowly, "Yes you idiot!" I stand up and hug him. I take the ring and slip it on his finger, "I love you so much Brice" I kiss him, "I love you too"
