Brice's POV
I wake up to my alarm clock ringing (birds singing!) and sigh slightly I couldn't help, but dread today. I cover my eyes with my hand, why did I have to tell them? It was me being stupid and angry, I should've waited! I sit up and listen for my parents, but the house is eerily quiet. I stand up and go to my door, opening it and making my way downstairs. I walk into the kitchen and see my parents with my step sister talking quietly, "Morning" I say which causes them to jump, "Hello Brice" my mom says while the other two just look at me. I roll my eyes before walking over to the coffee pot and getting a cup it was barely 6 o'clock and I was upset.

I feel a hand go on my shoulder, and turn around to face my dad, "Yes?" "Will you be seeing that boy today?" my anger rises as he doesn't use Seto's actual name, but I keep my voice steady, "Yeah, he is my boyfriend and he does go to my school" he cringes at boyfriend and I have to force myself not to punch him in the face, "Okay well we were discussing your outburst last night, and we've decided that we'll continue to fight for Seto in court on one condition," I raise my eyebrow at this "condition" I already had an idea of what this was, "you have to really consider that you might like girls and only girls, as well as stay away from the boy for a week to really make the decision final" I stare at him, "I can't just ignore him for a week" I say which causes him to sigh, "Well you have to stay away from him for a certain amount of time, and you will" my hands ball as anger runs through my veins, "Fine" I slam my empty cup down on the counter and run upstairs.

I get dressed, and am about to leave the house when my sister grabs my hand and pulls me back, "Brice I want you to know that dad wanted you to go to this crazy strict church place, but me and mom talked him out of it" I stare at her, "Is that meant to make me care?" she groans, "Brice it's meant to make you see that dad doesn't want you gone, and that he still thinks you're his son" I pull my hand from hers, leaving the house without another word.

I decide on walking to school today and the cold air makes me happy, I close my eyes and just walk letting the cold hit my face.

I feel something cold fall on my face and I open my eyes to see flurries falling down. I smile and continue my way to school, I see a few kids walking to the front of the school, I look around and can't spot the purple cape I was looking for, I can't find Seto and sigh.

I turn around and see him, my heart flutters as I see him, until I see that boy Michael walking with him, well more like clinging to his side. He moved wherever Seto did, close and always brushing his hand with Setos, and Seto didn't even seem to mind at all. They hadn't noticed me yet despite the fact that I was out in the open, in the front of the school. They stopped a ways away from me, and they turned to look at each other, I saw their lips move but couldn't make out their words, Michael placed a hand on Setos neck and leaned close to him and whispered something in his ear which makes him blush.

He smiles before leaving Seto still a blush on his face, he turns and his eyes immediately land on me. A smile forms on his face almost immediately, he starts jogging almost running to me. I start moving towards him, he runs filling the last few feet that we were away from each other.

He throws his arms around me burying his head into my shoulder, "Someone missed me" I say jokingly, "Of course I missed you, you're my knight in shining armour Brice" I smile at him before kissing his head and pulling him closer to me. I loved the sound of his voice and couldn't get over it, "Brice?" I move back to look at him in the face, "Yes?" "I love you" I smile before kissing him on the lips, "I love you too Seto"

The bell rings ruining our moment, I groan loudly which causes Seto to laugh, "Come on Brice, we still got lunch and after school" I smile though my mind was still on what my dad said this morning, "Yeah I know" I kiss him once more before we start to head towards the school.

"Bricey boy!" I turn my head and see Mitch yelling at me and running towards my direction with Jerome right behind him, "Hey Mitch my man" I hug him quickly same with Jerome before they give a quick hug to Seto, "Dude everyones been wondering where you've been, we have got to hang out soon" Jerome says, I laugh before instinctively wrapping my arm around Setos waist, "We will fellas, Seto and I have just been a bit busy lately"

The two minute warning bell causes me to sigh, "Brice I refuse to be late right now, let's go" he tugs on my shirt and I smile at him, "Okay, okay, well I'll talk to you guys later" I smile and take Setos hand in mine, before walking to our class.

School goes by really quick, Seto and I spend lunch just talking and being next to each other. The end of the day came really quick, and I'm walking with Seto to exit the school when I see my sister standing outside. "Hey babe I think I left my binder in the classroom, can you run back and check for me?" he smiles, "Yeah of course, I'll be back" he kisses my cheek before heading back to the classroom.

I go outside and walk up to her, "Why are you here?" she sighs slightly, "Dad sent me, he wanted to make sure you kept to your side of the deal" I roll my eyes at her, "Great now I got you spying on me." She stands a bit straighter, "So have you avoided him?" I just shake my head, "No I haven't, like I said I wouldn't today" she looks a little taken back, "Have you even told him!?" I scoff, "No I haven't so why don't you just run to dad and tell him!" she stares at me, "Brice I'm giving you one last chance to tell him" I move closer to her, "No" she just shakes her head at me, "Fine don't tell him, just ignore him got it? Or he won't be here for that much longer" she turns around and gets into her car, before driving off.

My anger is still present even after she leaves. I turn around and freeze as I see Seto standing behind me, "You're just gonna leave me?," his voice is quiet and filled with hurt, "without even telling me?" I open my mouth in an attempt to say something, but can't form the words. He looks down and wipes his eyes, "I thought you cared Brice?" I move towards him, "Seto I do" he moves backwards and looks up at me tears in his eyes, "Then why are you gonna abandon me?!" he voice is quivering as he speaks and my heart breaks, "Seto it's not like that I swear" I take another step towards him and he steps back tripping over a rock and falling back onto the concrete. A few kids nearby see this and start laughing, I see more tears run down his face before he gets up brushing himself off, "Seto are you-" I reach out to touch him, but he swats my hand away, "You could've just told me that you wanted to leave me!" I shake my head at those words, "Seto I don't, you don't understand" he moves backwards, "I understand plenty Brice" he wipes his eyes again before running off.

I chase after him before losing him in the park, "Seto?!" no answer. I sigh loudly and can't stop a few tears that roll down my face, "Seto please, I need to explain" again no answer. I fall onto the grass and cover my eyes with my hands, "Then explain" I hear his voice and move my hands hoping to see him standing in front of me, but sadly I just see the other side of the park. I cover my eyes again, "It was just my mind playing tricks on me" I tell myself. "So I give you a chance and you don't take it, what is with you Brice?" I hear the annoyance in his voice and move my hand again this time sitting up too, "Seto?" I call his name and actually get a response, "Explain, I won't listen for long Brice" I stand up and search for him, "Seto my dad wants me to stop seeing you, or at least avoid you," I wait for a second seeing if he would respond before talking again, "this was part of a deal, if I avoided you for a certain amount of time they would still fight for you in court, I'm sorry I didn't tell you, I just wanted to be with you today and not ruin everything". I hear a small rustle of leaves, "I wouldn't leave you for anything Seto" silence follows my last words and I wait to hear any sign that he was still listening, I sigh before I start to walk out of the park. I hear a soft thud on the ground and I turn around, but before I even have time to think I find a pair of lips on mine. I kiss back immediately, and wrap my arms around his waist, we pull back and Seto looks at me with a stupid smile on his face, "I hate you sometimes you know" I can't help but smile at him, "I love you too" he buries his head into my shoulder.

After a while I finally say something, "So where were you hiding from me?" he leans back and smiles at me. He runs to a tree behind us and starts climbing it disappearing into the leaves, "Seto? Where are you?" I look in the tree and can't see his purple cape anymore. He drops down from the tree and points up to it, "There's a spot right about there where you can sit and not be seen" I move towards the base and start to climb, Seto starts after me and helps me up into the spot, "See no one can see you from here" he leans his head on my shoulder and I place a hand around his waist and smile. We just sit here in a comfortable silence till Setos phone goes off, he checks his phone before frowning, "I got to go, but maybe you could come?" he looks at me with hope in his eyes. I smile at him, "Yeah I'll come over, I'll just say I'm at Mitch's or something" he smiles before dropping from the tree, "Then come on I have a lot to tell you about this morning" he walks off and I can't help but think about what he meant by that, Michael was with Seto when they arrived to school so did that mean he was with him this morning? Seto calls me and I drop down pushing the thought from my head, Seto will explain no need in getting worked up over nothing. Besides he was mine and that Michael guy wasn't going to tear us apart no matter what happened.
