Chapter 15: A date (Frostwing x Eliza)

P.O.V. Frostwing

I waved to the two as they began to walk away. Despite the two seeming like they wouldn't get along that wasn't the case at all. The two got along surprisingly well and while the two were both shy I noticed that they only acted that way around each other.

As we walked I felt Eliza grab my hand and sudden pull me in a different direction. "Come now sweetie the night's still young and I have more than enough places for us to visit," She said looking at me.

I didn't have time to respond before she pulled me into a new location. This seemed to be a bar of sorts and while I personally didn't care for alcohol I knew that Eliza liked it so I guess I can't complain.

As we walked in the bartender almost immediately recognized her and began to fawn over her. After a few moments passed he finally realized just were he was at and began to recompose himself. "Sorry for that Ms.Eliza so what may I get you?" He asked looking at her.

"A standard beer will do me just fine," She said looking at the male. When she said this the male nodded and turned to me.

"And you?" He asked looking at me.

"A water will be fine," I said looking at the male. When I said this he looked at me a little questioning before he walked off and began to prepare our drinks. Eliza then turned to me and smiled.

"So Frostwing, what do you think of our date so far?" She asked looking at me.

"I've enjoyed it so far," I said looking at the female in front of me.

"Is that so?" She asked with a slight chuckle. "We haven't been anywhere interesting so far and you say that you're having fun?" She asked looking at me.

"Well yeah," I said looking at her a little nervously earning a slight laugh from her. "Truth be told, I'm glad that you even agreed to go out with me," I said looking at the female in front of me.

"But of course, it was bound to happen sooner or later," She said looking at me.

"What do you mean by that?" I asked looking at her and in turn was giving a sly look. "Are you saying you expected me to ask you out?" I asked looking at her my face beginning to turn a slight shade of red.

"Of course, don't think I haven't noticed how you act towards me compared to how you act towards others. Not to mention those quick glances you give me when you think I'm not looking," She said looking at me.

I once again felt my face heat up when she said this. The bartender then placed our drinks beside us and I quickly took a drink of my water in an attempt to try and clear my throat. "W-well if that's the case then I'm sorry for asking you out so suddenly," I said looking at the female in front of me.

"It wasn't really sudden not to me at least," She said looking at me. When she said this I turned to her and looked at her a little confused and she continued to explain. "Come now you must know what I mean. You're a man who's lived with me for a long time, as I said it was bound to happen sooner or later," She said looking at me.

I felt a small amount of embarrassment overtake me as I took another drink of my water and looked down at the bar. "Although for what it's worth," She began once again earning my attention. "You were rather cute when you asked me out, stuttering and blushing as much as you were," Eliza said looking at me.

I wasn't sure how to take this, it was clear that she meant it as a compliment but to me I had some mixed feelings about the comment. I then looked at her and tried to calm myself. At the moment I wasn't really sure what to do.

Typically on most dates others use the opportunity to get to know each other but I've lived with Eliza for years, I don't think there's anything she could tell me that would surprise me. I even know about a few of the debts that she has and doesn't mention to most people.

"So Eliza," I began finally being able to think of something. "What made you say yes to me?" I asked looking at the female in front of me.

"Well it's no secret that I've been around for a long time sweetie. I've learned that for most people looks aren't everything. In fact some of my best suitors weren't that attractive at all. Yet with you it seems that I got luck with having someone that's both kind and handsome," She said looking at me.

I looked away little embarrassed with a smile and felt a small pressure on my face. I then felt my heart start to speed up immensely as I realized that Eliza had just kissed my cheek. "Oh well that's no good," She said looking at me.

When she said this I looked at her a little confused and she chuckled slightly. "You turned your head before I could kiss you," She said as she slowly leaned forward. I felt my face heat up when she said this. "So let's try this again," she said looking at me.

I then slowly leaned forward and our lips connected. It wasn't a very long kiss but I felt like it was passionate enough to get my feelings across. When we separated she looked at me with a smile. "The night's not over yet, let's get out of here and go somewhere a little more fun," She said looking at me.

I smiled when she said this and nodded. She once again grabbed my wrist and like before we left the building and began to walk down the now empty streets of the kingdom.
