7. Take me Home
This will be a flashback continuation of Chapter 5, as Chapter 6 was a speed filler for what will happen in Chapter 8.
Mizuki flashbacks to when he was first brought to Konoha
I remained silent as we left what looked like an academy.
'That wasn't any regular man, he had an aura surrounding him, it kind of felt as though he was the King of Monkeys...monkeys might have been a really random and specific description for him.' Mizuki recalls the interaction he had with the man and shivers-- when he had noticed the man walking closer to him, he had felt as though he was getting crushed by this heavy unknown pressure...screaming did help to alleviate it a bit," He closed his eyes before reopening it.
'This young lady will be my new care-taker, huh...' He looks at Tsunade, 'She's a character all right, she and that white-haired young man with the red lines streaming down from his eyes. Special kid...however, I still don't know if I can trust these people... they look strong enough to end me right here and now with a flick of a finger,' Mizuki notices how the woman carrying him began to head towards the crowded streets. He turned to look at the woman, recalling that her name was, Tsunade before he began surveilling the perimeter around him, 'This place must be out in the country or something, they have dirt roads, outdoor stores, and they look like they're wearing traditional Japanese clothing, but when I look closer it looks a bit...different?' He squints his eyes to get a better look.
Clang.. a sharp object bounces off from one of the roofs they're nearby, heading directly towards Tsunade.
Mizuki looks up only to be greeted with what appeared to be a weapon, he took in a bated breath, his blue irises widening in surprise. Spurred by his fear at getting hurt Mizuki attempted to warn Tsunade in a haste, 'She might get injured,' despite being betrayed by Kota which caused him to be unable to trust strangers like he used to—he had no choice but to rely on her for survival at the moment as he had been reincarnated as a weak baby. 'I still have morals, dammit!' Mizuki then begins to speak determinedly to Tsunade, seriously locking eyes with her to get his point through.
Tsunade looks at him with an odd face. 'Probably thinks I'm acting like a weirdo or something, but that's not the point! Young lady, you're about to get stabbed by a sharp weapon!'
If one were to look at Mizuki in Tsunade's point of view all they would see would be a cute baby making spit bubbles and gurgling out nonsense; Tsunade's face went black from how cute the baby was, she almost couldn't hold back a smile. Tsunade didn't want people thinking she was soft and thus began to glare at anyone and everyone who so much as looked in her direction. She redirects her attention back to Mizuki causing her to glower much harder.
'What the...? Why does she look so angry?' Mizuki could not, for the life of himself, understand the brain of the woman before him.
He looks behind her and notices that the weapon had gotten even closer, and accepts the fact that his new life would come to an end sooner than he expected, 'I at least thought that I would have found a way to get back to my old world to get revenge, as it was possible for me to get here in the first place, nothing is impossible,' as he tightly shut his eyes waiting for the impending pain. He peeked open one eye, just in case.
Before the weapon reached them, Mizuki watched as Tsunade grabbed the weapon from midair before tossing it up back to the direction where it came from.
She began to chastise the people on the roof, who turned out to be children.
"You brats, you could've killed someone! You're lucky it was me down here or else." She glares at the children standing on the roof. They shivered in fear.
I was amazed and confused as to why they were standing on the roof in the first place.
"We're sorry lady Tsunade," The three of them chorused loudly, bowing deeply before leaving in a haste. As they left Mizuki could see them bicker in the distance, it may have been about the incident. I had looked away now that the event had ended, this was before I noticed something abnormal happening with the way they were leaving.
'Wait a minute...are they jumping on the roofs?!' He takes a double glance towards the direction the children left, in shock, and watched as they hopped off from one roof to the next. He began to sputter incoherently.
Tsunade hears the sound but misunderstands, thinking that it was his way of asking for food--luckily everything was alright with the misunderstanding as Mizuki was hungry, 'He must be starving, I should better hurry up with my tasks.' Tsunade began walking towards the direction of the market to buy essentials like milk, and fruits. She walks up to one of the vendors and picks up an apple with one hand as she held Mizuki with the other—seemingly with no effort, 'I can mash these fruits up and make a paste for him to eat. Can babies swallow food yet? I know Nawaki couldn't...maybe I should play it safe, he doesn't look more than a couple weeks old.' She glances at him in pity, 'To feed a child and then abandon them is horrific if I ever find the people who did this I will end them.' Tsunade thought, already adopting Mizuki as her own. 'Nawaki is probably waiting for me back at home at this moment...' She immediately buys a bag of fruits before leaving in the direction of her home.
Mizuki was unaware of what Tsunade was thinking at the moment, only focusing on the fact that he was starving like crazy. 'She's buying food... she's going to feed me,' He praises every being looking down at him for the good fortune. Comforted by the fact of being fed after barely eating since the beginning, he closes his eyes to take a nap, the warmth from Tsunade's arm lulls him to a deep sleep.

Tsunade's house
Mumble...mumble...
Mmm... Who's being so loud?
Mizuki cracked one eye open to see a boy that looked to be about 6 years old face to face with him, not only that the boy was invading his personal space.
A tiny gasp could be heard.
Tsunade, hearing the gasp, began to laugh loudly at the ridiculousness of the sound before calming down. She had been walking out from the kitchen holding a bottle of milk in her hand when she saw Nawaki near the baby, during her laughing fit she had almost dropped the warm bottle of milk.
She wiped the tears forming at the corner of her eyes.
"Nawaki, don't scare the poor child he's going to pass out," She waves the bottle in front of his face, "Do you want to feed him?' She stares at Mizuki before looking back at Nawaki and notices the constipated look he put on.
She smiled and begins to tease Nawaki.
"Is my dearest younger brother jealous?"
Nawaki noticeably twitches, "I'm not jealous nee-chan." He looked at her grumpily. "I'm just going to be less important now!"
Tsunade nods at Nawaki's words in understanding before speaking.
"Just listen, you are now going to be this child's older brother just like how I became your older sister," Nawaki perks up at the statement, older brother repeating in his mind before he immediately grabbed the bottle out of her hand, and stuffed it into Mizuki's mouth.
Mizuki coughed at the sudden action, suffocating under the bottle's teat.
"Hey! He's going to choke," Tsunade says in surprise before helping Nawaki out, "Hold him like this-" Her past experiences with Nawaki were hard and she still didn't understand how to to take care of a kid, especially when her parents were away on missions, but she had managed in the end and Nawaki was still alive. She chuckled to herself.
After getting the hang of it, Nawaki could be seen carefully holding Mizuki's head up in his lap with Mizuki guzzling the drink rapidly.
"What's his name?" He asks, looking up expectantly at his older sister.
"I don't have one for him yet, but we could try to name him right now," She says.
Mizuki's listened in to the conversation—hopefully, they didn't name him anything dumb he wished to himself. And if they did, I can just change it back to my original name in the future.
"Nee-Chan... you said you found him in Amegakure right? Why don't we name him Mizu for water." He looks up at Tsunade feeling proud of the idea.
Tsunade thinks more about the name idea before adding her input.
"Let's add another character, I think the name water is a bit too boring... how about Mizuki?"
She noticed the baby look at her from the corner of his eye—despite him apparently looking blissed out from drinking milk he was still very conscious.
'Oh, he reacted to the name...Mizuki, huh? Mizuki... I like it.'
"Okay, your name is now Mizuki." She looks at the baby in Nawaki's lap.
The 'newly named' Mizuki just continued to guzzle down milk, 'They surprisingly got my name right...this is too coincidental...' He silently thanked Nawaki.
Flash-forward 11 months...
In a span of a year, Mizuki had finally understood the world he had been born into from watching Nawaki and Tsunade every second of his short life. He recalls the weapon, kunai, and the ability to jump from one roof to another.
'A world full of ninjas... who would have thought?'
From the gist of it, he understood that life here was dangerous and many people didn't live past the age of 20.
'That type of life sounds terrible,' He said while he sat down in his booster seat, the plate in front of him was empty and sparkling. It was currently dinner time, and Mizuki had just finished eating.
A loud bang knocked him out of his thoughts.
"Mizuki! I'm back!" He looked up to see Nawaki enter the door, Nawaki immediately runs up to Mizuki in happiness, grateful to see his younger brother. He began rubbing their cheeks together, cooing all the while.
Mizuki ignores his actions and just stares at blankly at Nawaki. A light bulb went off in his head as he realized something horrific.
Nawaki was going to be a ninja as well, Shinobi if they were going to go by what the world called them. He didn't know what to think if Nawaki would die... As time went on Mizuki had developed a bond with the siblings and more trust in them with his life than anyone else he had met in this world.
Eight months was enough time to change a person's view, but as a result, Mizuki refused to go outside and meet new people, sticking to those he already knew.
Tsunade enters the dining room.
"Nawaki! Take your sandals off first!" Tsunade said sternly, Mizuki watched as Nawaki walked back to the door solemnly at her chastising before he took his sandals off.
Tsunade watched him go the entire way. Throughout his short time in the world, Mizuki got to know Tsunade much more as they had been together since he had been a newborn. The leader of the village, Konohagakure also known as the Hokage, had given her a short paid leave to take care of him. Occasionally though, she would still train with that white-haired young man Jiraiya. Sometimes she would even bring Mizuki with her, though Mizuki was confused about why he hadn't seen Tsunade's parents during his eight-month stay but didn't question further. 'I'll just have to ask her when I'm older.' He thought.
"Okay, it's time to get you out of there big boy.." I could feel her lift me up and out of the stool before placing me on my feet.
As I was so deep in my thoughts I hadn't noticed that I had forgotten to pretend that I was still unable to stand.
Gasp
"Nee-Chan... Mizuki is standing..." Nawaki says in amazement.
"Oh no-" I realize that my guise was blown, Tsunade looks at me in thoughtfulness. Little did I know my peace was about to disappear forever.
"He's too young, alright, I guess we can do this instead..." I paid no heed to what she was saying and continue to stand there, not daring to take another step.
— Flashback end —
I sighed to myself.
Once Tsunade found out I could stand it was only a matter of time when she would be able to find out that I could walk as well. Every time it was time to eat, she would place the food in hard to reach places, it became harder to find as more time passed, but I managed to do it in the end.
When I became old enough to train she immediately took me outside and make me toddle around the training site she designed especially for me, it was a simple task. My pride wouldn't let me fail on purpose so I ended up beating everything she gave me with ease. The problem was that she kept saying tensai after each obstacle I succeeded in, but my Japanese although better than it was before, was still lacking in many areas.
Over the years the challenges got harder and harder I would be physically exhausted the next day, from hopping from branch to branch on giant trees and even practicing my already strong kicks repeatedly, along with my punches, I wanted to leave the house, but I decided to persist and as a result, I felt faster, stronger, and more powerful. It was a weird feeling... I didn't develop any six-pack, to my disappointment, but it must be a normal thing here to be strong..? He thought and accepted the idea easily.
In actuality, Mizuki didn't know that it was his chakra that helped him improve by leaps and bounds.
"Mizuki we're here." I look up and see the academy we had left back when I was a 'newborn' and gulp. I turn to look at Tsunade and Nawaki following me from behind and stared at them with a blank look on my face. My eyes screamed, 'Help me.' They smiled and waved me goodbye before leaving in a whirl of leaves.
"Amazing," I said in awe, still amazed by the action even though I had seen it being used hundreds of times between the two of them.
I stood on the dirt road alone, steeling my nerves before finally turning around, walking into the Academy.
I cleared my face from any emotion.
'I guess it's time...' I thought with determination.
