PARTY ?

I turned around to see Ashton. Was he asking me to attend a party with him or was he asking me for a treat ?

The class ended after a while and as soon as I stepped outside Stella attacked me with her killer tight Hug .

" Congratulations Rose ! I am so proud of you ." She said as she loosened her grip over me.

" What happened ? " I asked while searching for Ashton .

Her congratulations was not that concerning for me. She was the person who could congratulate you for a thing  as small as a pen fight win.

Aspen came running and hugged me .

Uh . This was new to me. I tried to be as calm as possible . But if Aspen was so overwhelmed that he hugged me then I had definitely achieved something big .

"Hey our new topper ." Came Ryan.

Again my face formed a question mark expression.

" You got highest Marks for yesterday's test and because this is your first time we are going to celebrate ." Completed Aspen.

Oh. So party meant celebration for getting good Marks . Wow that sounds good but I was not in a condition to throw a party for these rich people.

I tried to reason out some excuse to them " umm ...actually I can't...I mean my mom won't..."

"Don't worry ! We have planned everything . We asked your mom and she allowed us to have a party at Brady's. " said Stella jumping up and down as if she was the one we were celebrating for.

" But where's Brady ? I mean you should ask him before ...you know ...you decide yourself ."

I again tried to say something to cancel the party. I was not going to be shameless and take a free treat from the people who were not that close to me.

" It's fine . He only suggested this . Be ready at 7 today. " added Ryan with a grin.

Okay . So I got great Marks and I was going to celebrate for this . But is this necessary ? I didn't feel good after yesterday's incident. Getting good Marks was not lowering the sense of  a feeling I was getting in my stomach.

It just felt wrong . I mean ... I was not ready to celebrate anything right now.
But since these people have done so much for me ,it was my duty to atleast make an appearance there.

I noticed that everybody had congratulated me except Kat, Giselle and Brady .

May be they were busy in some classes.
Wait. Did I in any case hear that Brady had suggested to celebrate at his home.
Why ?

Leaving the questions aside . I picked up a book from the book shelf as I was standing in the library. It was strange that the book was not actually a book it was a diary of some person named Sam.

And the Title said the mystery of my death.

Okay so this was interesting .
I opened the book and started reading it and now I take my words back .
The book was not as interesting as the title was.

I had read atleast 7 pages and I just got to know one interesting thing that the girl was not killed or anything . It was just a suicide.

I quickly closed the book because I knew if there's no killer then there's no mystery .

I went to the librarian and asked her to let me issue the book . Yes I said it was boring but there must be something interesting or else why would it be in the library .

"This is not a published book dear ! This is a book written by one of our students. You can't issue this." Said the librarian in a sweet voice.

"What ? Okay but I want to read it let me take it .please." I requested her.

"Someone must have lost this . We have to return it and see how nicely this book has been created . The writer must be in search of this. " she reasoned .

"Is the writer alive ? " I mumbled quietly and before she could hear I covered it by saying " please ma'am this book seems really interesting . I want to read it . Also this is my last year in the high school.  I will be leaving for higher studies after some months . Let me borrow . Pleaseee " I rambled and tried to be as sweet as possible . Because now that I had got to know that this was a real diary and the person writing it is in real or was ...may be ...

"Sorry , I can't...I am new here and I don't want to miss my job . Now get out of here you are too loud to be in the library ." She dismissed me rudely.

The School ended and again I was left with Brady. Okay so today it won't be much awkward as I have many questions to ask .

Ryan said that he had some work to do after school so he stayed there.
He didn't specify what was it but yeah we believe him right ? And after spying him , I am sure that he is a good guy though he looks mysterious and all and after all he is my friend , why would I think that he is lying .

After some time of walking slowly I asked Brady " so what was it you wanted to tell me yesterday ?"

"Umm ...that you got highest Marks. " said Brady scratching the back of his head.

"Omg ! That means you knew it yesterday itself ? Why didn't you tell me then ? And how come you know about the results,  they were supposed to be announced today." I said with amusement .

"Your mom never gave that chance to me to tell you about that and I was staying late after the school so when they put the result on display board I got to know it and yes that's the reason I waited for you because I had to give you the news right ?" He chuckled.

"Yeah right . " I said nothing else left to say .

"So umm ...meet you at 6 ? " asked Brady .

Then I realised yeah I had to talk to him about this.

"Yeah about that ...umm ...see you don't have to do this . I mean I don't want your parents to be ..you know ..."

"No no it's totally fine . They are on a trip for two days that's why I suggested my home . And I am more than happy to do anything for you ...r ...your friends .umm...which are mine too .." said Brady as he stuttered in between .

I blushed a little and gave him a knowing smile.

He quickly Increased his pace trying to hide his face .
I myself was not able to hide my smile .

After reaching home I quickly changed and ate the food mom had kept in the refrigerator.

I went to my room for a nap but just then my phone started ringing.

Stella's name flashed on the screen .

" Hello ! "

" Hey ! Rooosseee ." Shouted Stella

"Why are you shouting ? " I asked

" I am so excited for today . Today is going to be a fun. What are you wearing ? " she asked.

"What ? Am I supposed to decide what should I wear ? It's just Brady's home ." I said lowering her excitement .

"Yeah right ! " she said ...and I heard some voice whispering which I recognized as Aspen's.
It may have been Ashton's too.

"So should we pick you up ? Since you have never visited Brady to his house." She asked.

"No it's fine. Your place is far away than mine . I'll find his house just give me his address. " I said as I didn't want to bother them.

"Okay I'll send it . Will see you at 7 then .bye ." She said cheerfully.

Did she say 7 ...oh yeah. But Brady told me to attend at 6 .

Never mind he must have said the wrong time.

I took a quick nap and started getting ready.
Not that this was a huge party or something but I had be atleast presentable.

I called my mom and told her that I would be late and I have left the keys under the door mat.

I straightened my dress . It was a cute  white dress with pink floral design . It's length came down just below my knees.

As usual I was in my ponytail. It was not such a big occasion that I would change my hairstyle.

I quickly grabbed the bag of chocolates I had brought for my friends . I can't go empty handed right ?

Brady's house was easy to find . It was above or below 15 minutes from my home .

I was standing in front of the main door. My watch was showing the time 6.15 . I chose to come at the time which Brady gave to me .

I raised my hand to ring the doorbell but the door was already open.

Had he known that I was coming and he kept it open for me.

I peeked from the door.  I know I should have pressed the bell button but sometimes I do the things which I shouldn't.

I saw a figure sitting elegantly on a chair in the kitchen .

Suddenly another figure came and hugged the other figure.

I recognized both of them .

Katherine was sitting on the chair and Brady hugged her . Wait what ?

I neared them to hear what they were saying .

" Omg ! I love you so much Kat ." Said Brady .

The words hit me like a snowball . Well yeah snowballs don't hurt so the words didn't hurt me as I heard Brady's tone was just a friendly one.

But a small feeling  of jealousy started appearing inside me when I heard katherine saying ," I love you too baby . Now give me my prize ." She said as she pouted .

I couldn't stop there anymore. My legs took me back to my home as swiftly as they can .
