"What do you want from me Bonnie?!" he asked.

" I want you Cole! All I ever wanted was you." she whispered.

"So what is stopping you?"

"You know what is stopping me Cole. I can't just get up and leave. I have a life. I have a job."

"And you are married"

"Yes that too."

"Have you told Howard about us?"

"No I haven't yet. How do you tell someone who is supposed to be your life partner that you have been having an affair? That you don't love them anymore."

" Does he make you happy? Does he make you feel wanted and appreciated?"

"I don't feel the same way about him as I do you but he is still my husband."

"I don't mean to make things difficult. But this opportunity only comes around once in a lifetime. And I want to have you by my side wherever I go. Howard doesn't deserve you"

" When are you supposed to go?" she questioned

"This Friday."

"So soon Cole? Gosh, I thought I would have some time to sit and think about this"

"You think too much Bonnie. You're always in your head. You worry about everyone else but yourself. When're you just going to follow your heart?"

"My heart's what got me into this situation"

"Do you regret it?"

"No... I..."

"Do you regret the moment we kissed? Do you regret when I pinned you against the wall? When you begged me to touch you? When your body confessed all its secrets to me?"

"No I don't" she breathed softly.

"So what're you waiting for Bonnie? I need you by my side. You're the one who believed in me when no one else did. You made me feel as if I'm worth more than what my parents say. You gave me purpose."

"And you made me feel alive."

" You're my reason for being Bonnie" he whispered.

"Okay. I'll come with you."

" I did."

"What did he say?"

"He was mad Cole. He was angry. Gosh I've never seen him this angry"

"What can you expect from a man who's heart is broken?"

"I know. But he was different. He lost his temper with me. He started to throw things. Claimed I was being selfish.  I suppose I am."

"I don't trust him Bonnie. He might be dangerous. Love does crazy things to a person. They can either change for the worse or the better. I changed for the better"

"He's not dangerous. He's just an Investment banker. But He...he said something to me"

"What's that?"he asked tightly

"He said that I shouldn't trust you. That I don't know who you really are."

"Do you believe him?"

"I'm not sure. But I think deep down he knew that I wasn't in love with him anymore."

"Wait... what do you mean you aren't sure? Don't you trust me?"

" I do trust you but it's hard to trust you when I don't know where you are sometimes. When you don't answer my calls and what those private calls you get in the middle of the night are about"

" I can't tell you. Not yet"

"Why not Cole?"

" Trust me when I say it is better that you don't know"

"How am I supposed to take that? Is it that bad?"

"No it's... I can't explain it."

"Cole if we don't have honesty and trust. We have nothing. It goes both ways and if you can't give me that then how can I run away with you?"

"I know. I will tell you I promise. Friday night, meet me at the Epping gas station on Trinity Square. They say you don't hurt the people you love and I don't want my secrets to hurt you"

" Cole, no matter what you say. I am not leaving. I will never leave."

" Cole tell me what happened!" Bonnie demanded

" I... I can't... " he panted.

"It's 3 am in the morning. You are bruised up. What if Howard was here?"

"Where is he?"

"He left, he said he cannot bare to be around me" she sighed.

"We have to go. Now."

"What? No Cole. Its Thursday."

"Pack your things"

"No I am not leaving until you tell me what happened"

"Bonnie we don't have time for this. I have to keep you safe."

"Safe? Safe from what?" she probed

"Howard."

"Howard? He would never hurt anyone"

"Trust me Bonnie. He is not the man you think he is."

"Pack your things. Don't be stubborn Bonnie! I am trying to save both of our lives here! You said you trust me right? Well trust me when I say we have to go"

"I do trust you... "

"Shhhh.... There's someone here" Cole said quietly.

"Cole stop running! My legs hurt!" she pleaded

"Get in the car!"

"Where are we going Cole? And who were those men in my house?"
"Thank God they didn't see us"

"Cole I want an explanation. Now!"

"I never meant to hurt you. I love you Bonnie. I always will keep you safe. But I lied to you."

"What do you mean you lied to me?"

" My name isn't Cole. It's Parker, Parker Shaw. I am a private investigator, hired by the government to investigate your husband Howard Faraday."

"What? " 

"I was supposed to get close to him and to you. He is under investigation for bank fraud and having ties with one of the large drug lord's in the city, Vido."

"Pull over I am getting out"

" I can't. I can't let you go back. My identity has been compromised. Turns out getting involved with his wife prompted him to investigate me. Ironic isn't it?"

" So you... you lied to me. All of it was fake? You don't love me. You just did that to what? Get close to him? I was just for you to fuck to get access to his files and shit."

"No Bonnie. No! I never intended to get involved with you. They asked me to stay away from you. But I just couldn't. I saw you crying that day in your car before you went inside the house. You looked so beautiful and so unhappy. I was drawn to you like a magnet to steel"

"I think I am going to be sick"

"The only thing I kept from you was my true identity and my real reason for being in the city"

"Oh so you aren't a struggling musician whose parents thought he would never make it and kicked him out. And that record deal was just a fluke?"

" Not all of it was a lie. I am a musician. You have heard me play."

"Oh wow. I suppose I should be relieved that you actually play the fucking guitar"

" I don't expect you to forgive me. But I am telling you the truth now. It killed me not being able to tell you everything. You deserved more from me and from the bastard Howard. He was going to pin it all on you. The fraud and the link to the drug trafficking. Everything was done under your name, with your identity. He was planning a flight out of the country for next month. He would have gotten away with 30 billion dollars and you would have been left to deal with the repercussions of his actions."

"Lies! You are lying just like when you said you loved me."

"I never lied about that Bonnie!"

"So why did you ask me to run away?"

"I took all the documents I found that implicated you. My bosses were on my case about them and I knew if I turned them over to them, they would arrest you. So I burned them."

"You did what?" 

"But I found evidence one piece of evidence that proved he was the actual thief. A recording of his conversation with Vido, talking about the files I burned. He thinks you found out and took them. They were plotting to have you killed."

"What? No I don't believe you. I have known Howard for six years. He would never hurt me."

"Listen for yourself".

" I was only trying to protect you Bonnie"

"I can't believe it. How could he?"

"He found out about me too, his men caught me at my apartment. Luckily I got away and came to you before they got there. Who knows what would have happened if I hadn't..."

"They would have killed me."

"I'm sorry Bonnie. I really am."

"I don't know what to believe Cole or Parker; whoever you are." She sobbed.

"Bonnie. Look at me. I have never felt the way I feel about you with anyone before. I meant it when I said you give me purpose. For a long time I felt dead inside. This job, it, it consumes you, takes over everything. But when I saw you,  I felt like I was worth more. Like I could possibly be happy"

"How do you expect me to be with you after all of this?"

"I don't expect you to. I love you too much for you to be with someone who makes you unhappy."

" Six months ago, I was living my life minding my own business with an evil drug lord husband apparently. Then you came along and turned my life into a roller coaster of emotion.  And now..."

"And now?"

"Now it's hard. Do you trust what you felt? Or do you listen  to your head?"

"It's up to you angel. I would be in hell without you".

" I should thank you for saving my life. But I can't be with a deceiver"

"I would never let anyone hurt you Bonnie, if you don't believe anything, believe that."

"I need time."

"I understand. I will always be here Bonnie."

Parker: Hey

Bonnie: Hey

Parker: Can I see you?

Bonnie: I have a feeling you are already do.

Parker: Open the door.

"What're you--" she gasped.

"Mmm, I needed .... To .... See ... you..." he moaned. " I needed to feel your lips against mine."

"How did you know - What am I asking. You are a P.I."

" I can't stay away anymore Bonnie. A month is too long."

" It's still creepy though. You knowing where I am"

" I have to ensure you're safe."

"Like you are my guardian angel?"

"You are my guardian angel Bonnie."

"I still don't know what to think Parker"

"Fuck what you think. Tell me what you feel Bonnie."

"I feel; I feel safer with you here. I feel safe knowing that you are watching over me. It sounds crazy but I have missed you. And even though I have had some time to process things I still don't understand everything"

"I know, I know I'm –"

"Shh, but there is one thing I know, I know that over the past six 7 months, I fell in love with you. And even though I don't know everything there is to know, I want to, to try"

" Are you saying what I think you are saying?"

"Yep. I have been in agony not seeing you or touching you. You became my reason for being Parker. I love you."

"Oh Bonnie, you have no idea how happy you have made me! I love you Bonnie! I love you so much."

"Wait before we get carried away with kissing and love making-, "I need to know what happened to Howard"

"They can't find him yet to arrest him."

"Are you still on it?"

"No, they gave it to another P.I. I quit. For you." 

"Why?"

"You said you can't be with a deceiver. But in my line of work, you have to lie and deceive. So I want to be someone you want to be with Bonnie"
