Chapter Five: 𝔾𝕝𝕠𝕨𝕥𝕚𝕞𝕖.

Hinata looked to his duel-hair-coloured friend, and Kenma had just tied the last yellow lace. He stood up, and looked at them, then to Hinata. He was about to say something when he noticed Hinata looked a hue more orange than normal. "Shōyo...?" He he asked, voice barely over a whisper, and the ginger looked to his friend, only for his brown orbs to widen in surprise. The Volleyball that was being used on the court dropped to the floor, and everyone started to look at the two friends, again.

"Holy crap! You guys are glowing!"

Kenma looked at his hand, only to see around it was a hue of yellow. His cat-like eyes slightly widened in surprise. He looked at his friend, only to discover the same was with Hinata except he was orange. The colour looked familiar, and Kenma couldn't put his tongue on what it was until he looked down. The shoes. The laces. They were the same colour as Hinata and Kenma. Everyone ogled them for about thirty more scary seconds, before the colour slowly faded and both Kenma and Hinata we're back to normal.

"What was that?" Nishinoya asked out loud, the exact same question that was on everyone's mind. Nothing was said for a while. Nobody knew what to say. It wasn't everyday that two people freaking glow the same colour of the laces on the shoes they purchased the exact same day.

That kind of stuff sounded paranormal, but the only people who knew about that stuff were Tsukishima, Takeda, and Oikawa. But Tsukishima himself was surprised; he didn't know why the two males turned those specific colours, but by the furrow in his brows, he was trying to find out. Takeda was supervising the female's who were making dinner, so he wouldn't be available until dinner, and Oikawa wasn't coming until the next day.

Looks like they were out of luck right now.

"A-are you two alright?"

That was a great question. Kenma simply nodded his head, not feeling why different then he did before he tied the white shoes on. Hinata on the other hand, being the extra first year he was, looked right to Kageyama. "Kageyama-Kun! Toss to me!" He yelled, his brown orbs bright. Kageyama looked confused, and turned towards Suga and Daichi, who nodded. The setter then grabbed the volleyball that was on the floor, and the two first years set up for a quick.

Minus tempo.

Hinata ran up to jump and spike, but when he jumped, it was a little different. The ginger did manage to hit the ball, but when gravity kicked in, he fell to the ground off balance, and landed on his behind. Not even Tsukishima could tease him. Kageyama stood there, his dark blue eyes in amazement. "Your... Your jump," He tried to explain, but words failed to come out of his mouth. He was surprised. Everyone was; the way their eyes and mouths stood open. Heck, even Hinata himself was surprised, he had never been like that before.

His jump was at least three inches higher than normal. It was actually scary, how he jumped so high. "D-Do it again," Coach Ukai instructed when he got over his initial shock. He wanted to know if the quick was a fluke and Hinata jumped out of excitement, or if something happened to the first year which made him jump that high.

Said middle blocker nodded and jumped onto his feet, getting into position for the attack. The two first years nodded to each other, and Hinata went to spike again for the same crazy quick they have mastered overtime. However, this time around, Kageyama set the ball a tinge higher, and surprisingly, Hinata got to it with no problem. He spiked it down, and landed on his feet.

His jump was the same height as the first time, meaning something happened.
