ØNE ° • Late! Meh! Meh! Meh!

Look At The Time!

I sighed, growing increasingly annoyed by the second. I raise my arm and pulled my suit sleeve down to check my wrist watch. My brows furrow as I shove my sleeve down and pick up the navy blue suitcase by my side.

I walk up a large hill on the beaten path, the grass completely dead and unable to regrow. I am completely, and hopelessly lost. I was supposed to be moving into a home at nine-thirty. And it was nine twenty-six already!

I spotted a silhouette atop the hill and quickened my pace and called out to them. "Hello?!" They lifted their head and looked towards me, as I drew closer to them they looked much like a female. "Hello, ma'am?" She was sat on a large fluffy cream colored blanket that had been pulled up around her hiding her legs perfectly. She set down the notepad and pencil in her hands on her lap and looked up at me from her seat on the ground. Her face was a pure white, like a fragile piece of paper, but her arms and neck was a deep black and resembled ink. In fact it looked almost as if it was ink.

Her hair was multiple bright colors such as light pink and purple, oranges and yellows. Very small strands of green littered her bush of hair that spread out around her head, looking almost as fluffy as her blanket.

She smiled up at me, her black lipstick shining in the sunlight, and her black almost grey eyes seem to capture the light in them. I lost of train of thought for a moment before I returned her friendly smile. "Excuse me ma'am, there may be a house near by, and you happened to catch my eye. Could you tell me where it might be? It would really help me." I had an habit of rhyming, but sometimes it just rolled off the tongue effortlessly. She giggled, her smile growing a bit. "Why did you do that?" I tilted my head, unaware I had just said a rhyme. "Why did you rhyme?" The female danced her fingers across the notebook on her lap.

"Well it expands your knowledge to speak in rhyme, that'd why I make it a habit to do it most of the time." She nodded, as we both fell silent I pulled up my sleeve again and check my wrist watch. My eyes widen slightly and that annoying alarm sounds in my head, I'm just barley able to not scream out. Though I feel the urge bubbling up in my chest and in my throat.

I'm going to be late if I don't hurry!
Meh! Meh! Meh! MEH! MEH! MEH! MEH!

I cleared my throat and lightly hit myself in the chest. "Oh! You were asking for directions weren't you?" I nodded, relived I might get there on time. She slipped the notepad and pencil into her hand and rose to her feet, the blanket falling away from her legs and back onto the ground.

She had on an elegant white dress, the area around her collar of her dress was a dark blood red, with a blood splatter looking design. On her skirt were many random little designs. Like for example, little rainstorm clouds sat in a circle around her waist. And and orange with a cartoonish smile sat near the bottom. I tore my eyes away from her... Creative... Dress.

She stuck her hand out to me, a black substance dripped to the ground from her arm. Her fingers dripped onto one another until finally falling to the ground from her small finger. I glanced down at her hand before grabbing it lightly in mine. I felt our hands lightly quiver as she merrily shook my hand, anything I touch without gloves or something over my hand if it was mortal or living in anyway it was supposed to rapidly speed up time and end their time alive.

"I'm Paige by the way! Its a pleasure to meet you!" She smiled, her teeth had a light yellow shine to it. I can't say anything, my teeth aren't completely perfect. Oh! I did it again! I'm waisting time!

I returned the smile. "My name is Tony. And, the pleasure is mine." I released her hand, a thick black ink like substance clung to my hand, I stared down at my palm as the substance as it clung onto my hand. Paige laughed nervously and opened her notepad to a blank page in the back and pressed it against my hand. As she pulled it back away a large handprint stained the page, as I expected.

But, still some of the black substance still stained my palm and fingers.

"Sorry, ink." She ripped the page out and dropped the pencil and notepad on top of her blanket. Paige made a sort of bag around the two objects and slung it over her shoulder. The handprint paper still in her hand. "Do you have a picture, or know the address of the home you were looking for?" I nod and fetch out a picture from a small pocket on the suitcase I had grown tired of lugging around.

I showed it to her and Paige lightly tapped her chin before her face lights up. "I live there!" She beams and began to lightly bounce in her place. I decide to drop my rhymes, not wanting to waist anymore time then needed.

((• Or its just the author not knowing anything that rhymes with mine... •))

Paige grabbed my wrist and begun to dragged me off, I quickly grab the handle of the suitcase and allow her to show the direction of my- our? Apparent new home.

As a silhouette of a house pokes over another hill. I check managed to check my wrist again.

I'm late!

That annoying alarm sounds up in my head. The urge to scream out rages in my throat, again I manage to hold back from screaming out again.

Meh! Meh! Meh! Meh! Meh! Meh! Meh! Meh! Meh! Meh! Meh! Meh! Meh! Meh! Meh... Meh... Meh. . .

A couple minutes later we came up to a boring looking light brown house. Most of the windows curtains were drawn and light shone through them. Paige released my wrist and pulled a pencil from seemingly nowhere and stabbed it into the keyhole. I silently watched, confused. She jiggles the pencil in the keyhole, before a small click sounds from the lock signaling the door was unlocked. Paige pulled the pencil out of the lock and opens the door.

She pokes her head in and calls out to someone or something in the house. "I'm home! ~" An annoying, high pitched shriek rang out, a loud crash and clatter sounded, Paige almost face-palmed, but she kept her hand just above her face.

A tall male hurriedly came into the room, he was deathly pale, yet not as pale as Paige. He had on a large red turtle neck, his hair was a brighter shade of red in tangled dreadlocks. He nervously smiled and laughed nervously. He turned back towards the hall from where he came and cupped his hands around his mouth. "Manny! Robin! Paige is home!"

"Paige is home?!" The high pitch voice screamed back. A smaller child ran into the room, a pair of arm length grey gloves in each hand. "She forgot her gloves!" The child said loudly, Paige slips the gloves out of his hands and put them on, they reach up to her shoulders before stopping in a flower pattern. As soon as the gloves where on she scooped up the small child and held him resting him on her hip.

He had a sort of yellow tint to his skin, and was tanner tan the other male and Paige. The sides of his head were shaved and the remaining hair in the middle was a bright light blue.

The child had on a large yellow sweater with overalls overtop it. A 'D' was down onto the front pocket on his overalls. "Hi Paige!" The child smile at Paige and hugged her, wrapping his arms around her shoulders. "Hello Manny Darling!"

Another male rushed into the room, he had a greenish tint to his skin and looked sickly. His hair was a light, grass green. He wore a swamp green turtle neck. Glass litters his clothes and stick out of his hair, whilst he was drenched. Paige rolled her eyes "Oh, Robin. Robin. Robin. Whatever shall I do with you." Robin nervously smiled.

Paige seemed to be a sort of motherly figure towards the three, I watched as she placed the child down. The paler one with the red hair waved to me slightly as Paige moved over to Robin and began picking glass out of his hair. "Hello, I'm Harry. You must be the one moving in I presume?" He wrapped his arms around himself and rubbed him arms slightly. He seemed to be freezing as he lightly shook. I nodded and stepped into the house, quietly shutting the door behind me. "My name is Tony." I introduced myself as Harry nods. The small child catches sight of me and wraps his arms around Harry's leg and peers up at me with curious eyes, I smile down at him and he shies away behind Harry's leg.

"And who might you be?" Harry lightly pats the child's head, he poked his head out from behind Harry's skinny leg. "I'm Manny." I offer the child a kind smile, only to receive a small one in return.

Robin yelped, his high pitched tone hurting my ears. Paige sighs as she continues to search through his hair for glass. "Robin, have you met Mr. Toby yet?" Robin looked over to me. His cheeks flushing with embarrassment as he glances back to Paige, he sheepishly shakes his head. "Well, don't be uncreative! Go say Hi!" Paige nudges him forwards towards the three of us, in Paige's free hand were what seemed to be millions of little glass shards.

Manny's eyes lit up as he followed Paige out of the room. "H-hello..." Robin stuttered as he stood beside Harry, I smiled at him. Robin had to be about half the size of me, while Harry stood just an inch over me. "It's nice to meet you sir, I'm Robin, but Manny calls me Duck." He smiled at me, still looking extremely embarrassed. "It a pleasure to meet you, I am Tony."

Paige returned with a goofy smile plastered onto her face, Manny beaming as he bounced and began to circle around her legs excitedly giggling. "Manny has a creative idea! ~" Harry turns towards her, sending a quick glance back over to me. Robin- or Duck turns towards her completely. "We should show our new friend our creative performance!"

"Oh..." Manny mumbled in his monotone voice. Paige rushed over to me, hoping over Manny, she pushes me down the hall, Manny leading the group, Robin and Harry follow behind. I listen to their whispers. "Hopefully this Tony isn't with Roy..."

"We can only wait and see..." Harry replied quietly. Paige pushed me into a small kitchen, a small round table with four chairs. Manny hurriedly sat in his chair and lightly bounced, Robin and Harry reluctantly sat in their chairs. Paige stole a chair from the table and sat in in the corner.

Paige then sat on the floor where the chair I was sat on had been, Paige ducked under the table, giggling quietly. The three males slouched in their chairs and began to look extremely bored.

Oh, what a wonderful show I was in for...

Hi! So, this is my first time trying to do a DHMIS shipping type story. And this ship is my absolute OTP, so I thought why not for my firstwhy not write about the creative green hating notepad, and the rhyming tick tock clock?

Also I tried to rhyme there but it didn't work... I can't rhyme...

Anyways thanks for reading my crappy writing!
