Chapter Fourteen
"Chloe Watson, would you do me the honour of being my girlfriend?"
My eyes widened in shock as I looked at him. The smile on his face dropped as I didn't reply straight away.
"Oh, I understand, it's okay Chloe." Sherlock began, sounding defeated as he went to turn away. I quickly grabbed his hand, stopping him and turning him back towards me.
"No Sherlock, you do not understand." I laughed at the irony of Sherlock Holmes reading a situation incorrectly. "Of course I'll be your girlfriend."
His face brightened up immediately as he wrapped his arms around my waist, lifting and spinning me in the air, before he leant down and connected his lips to mine. Pulling away, he looked down at me smirking, "Don't scare me like that." He told me quite seriously before taking his arms away from my waist.
"I'm sorry, you just took me by surprise. Your defeated face is cute though." I giggled as he looked horror-struck at being described as cute.
"Me? Cute?" He asked, in fake offense, hand on his heart.
"The cutest." I laughed before reaching up and pulling him down into a kiss again.

"Wait, let me get this straight, he walked you to your doorstep and asked you to be his girlfriend and you didn't say yes straight away?" Elliot exclaimed, after I had relayed the previous night's events to him.
"I was shocked okay." I defended, "I wasn't expecting him to ask me." At this Elliot burst out in hysterics.
"You are so oblivious Chloe Watson." He stated shaking his head and leading the way out of the café.

From the café I headed straight to Baker Street to see if my cousin was there. I hadn't been able to talk to him much the day before on account of the show. I was almost nervous to tell him about the events after I left the theatre but the more I thought about it the more I realised I was being silly and that he probably already knew about Sherlock asking me to be his girlfriend, since Sherlock was his roommate and best friend and all that.
Shaking myself out of my thoughts, I realised that I was at Baker Street. Taking a breath, I walked through the door and up to the boys' apartment, knocking quickly before walking in. I saw Sherlock sat on his chair, obviously in his mind palace as he didn't look up at my entrance. I scanned the room, finding no signs of John, I walked up to Sherlock, breaking him out of his mind.
A look of irritation crossed his face, but it quickly morphed into a smile when he noticed that it was me. "Hello Chloe," he greeted me, kissing my cheek before backing away.
"Hi Sherlock, you haven't seen John have you?" I asked him.
"He just left, I don't know where he went though," he replied.
"Do you know why he left?" I wondered.
"He didn't appreciate me shooting the wall," Sherlock answered. I went to say something about the statement Sherlock made, almost too nonchalantly, but before I could, the windows behind us shattered, the explosion sending us flying.
