Chapter 1

After the incident with Uno, the two were banned from playing the game until Jungwoo agreed he would learn to not cheat. So there Jungwoo sat, thinking of one of his close friends who so happened to be a certain someone named Lucas. It was strange and he didn't know why this happened so often.

Yeah, they were close and yeah they hung out a lot but did best friends think of each other a lot? Did they waste a lot of time pondering over what the other may be doing? Did they continuously want to be reminded what their hand felt like? Jungwoo wasn't sure but mayhaps it was a normal occurrence that everyone experienced.

He was thinking awfully lot about the taller and he was certain it couldn't be feelings because wouldn't it be like how people described it? Shouldn't he be acting awkward and turning red at every moment? Shouldn't he be stumbling over what he did when he was in the presence of the younger? So he couldn't have feelings if that was the case. Or could he? He was a natural mess after all.

He stared out into space, rethinking his life choices for way too long, debating whether he did have those cursed emotions called feelings or didn't. He probably did. Really, he shouldn't be worrying but when a good candidate waltzes into your life and stays, isn't that the opportunity to swing and hopefully not miss?

He was having a good crisis until he realized a certain face inches away from him and released a startled scream. The individual laughed boisterously until he noticed Jungwoo unevenly breathing and quickly rubbed his back in a soothing manner with an arm around his waist.

"Lucas you- you idiot. Why would you do such a thing?" Jungwoo asked quietly, steadying his breath. "You know I get scared easily yet- yet you choose to scare the living daylight out of me."

"I'm so sorry Woo I forgot the moment I saw you look so peaceful and-" Lucas caught himself from saying cute, instead, changing what he was originally going to say, "relaxed and I couldn't help but try to scare you."

"That's okay Lu, I know people won't always remember, but please try so this- so this won't happen again," Jungwoo said as he leaned his head into Lucas' chest, not really caring because they were close friends anyway.

Lucas pulled his head closer and gently played with Jungwoo's hair, causing him to nod off from the soft action. Nearly an hour passed until Lucas realized he was staring at Jungwoo in a creepy manner but he didn't care because he was asleep and the smaller male was horribly cute.

Cute? Where did that come from? Lucas was puzzled. He knew he was straight, or at least he thought he was and quickly looked up realizing his thoughts were not that heterosexual.

"Oh no that's not good. How could I think a boy is cute?! No no no," Lucas mumbled to himself. "Even if he's cute that doesn't change the fact that I'm a hundred percent straight. How could I possibly not be?"

He kept mumbling but instantly shut up as Jungwoo began shifting around. Fuck. He was adorable. Best friends could be adorable so that was okay, right?

The smaller slowly opened his eyes, trying to focus on his surroundings, his tired eyes just automatically finding their own way, staring right into Lucas' eyes.

Pretty.

LUCAS' EYES?! WHAT?!

Jungwoo quickly jumped up, barely missing Lucas' precious face in the process.

"I'm sorry Lu! I didn't want to- want to fall asleep on you! I really didn't! Tell me how- how long I was passed out sleeping on you. You should have laid me on- on the bed, you didn't have to hold me you-"

"Shh, that's okay. It really was Woo." Lucas said in a calm voice stopping the boy from rambling.

"No, it wasn't. You could have been- been doing something else like sleeping in YOUR room or shopping or playing games or-"

"It was fine. I was happy the way it was. Looking at your adorable face while you were sleeping."

Well damn! So much for being the assumed straight.

Lucas mentally cursed himself for saying such a thing. He looked at Jungwoo thinking he would be angry at him for saying such a thing but instead, he saw a;

Blushing Jungwoo?

Wait what? Why was he red?

The silence was broken by Jungwoo quietly asking," Y-you think I'm adorable? No, don't answer that I know I'm- I'm not so that's okay."

"N-no you are!"

Lucas wanted to throw himself in a hole for stumbling over his words and was immensely surprised for doing so, mentally slapping himself for admitting that a male was cute.

Not to come off as rude, Lucas carefully got up and stretched with a yawn, deciding he best disappear before he do something stupid.

"I think I'm going to sleep a little bit now and maybe eat something. So have a good rest of the evening," Lucas explained, heading to the door, his hand lingering on the knob to wait for Jungwoo's answer before he left.

"Okay, have sweet dreams, Lu."

As soon as Lucas walked out of the room and gently closed the door, Jungwoo jumped on the bed, quietly squealing and rolling all over the small bed while hugging his pillow. He couldn't believe it, Lucas actually called him adorable. It was like a miracle.

Someone that he was just coming to realize who was extremely cute, handsome, loveable, muscular, pretty, and perfect a few hours ago had called him cute.

Why was the universe suddenly coming on his side?

"Guess what Mr Fuzzy?" Jungwoo asked his giant stuffed bear, now standing as the giant bear dangled in his hands. "Lucas Wong just called me cute! Like as in THE Lucas Wong! Isn't that great?!"

He smiled, spinning the bear around in a circle and collapsed on top of his bed. Yes, Jungwoo told his bear everything and he wasn't the least bit embarrassed of that. He took comfort in being able to express his emotions freely to the stuffy even though it couldn't hear him.

Lucas stood outside of the door as he said that, smiling gently at the way the male conversed with the stuffy. He knew Jungwoo always did that but he had never seen it happen first-hand.

A gentle yet firm knock was heard on the door and quickly, Jungwoo positioned himself on the corner of his bed before softly calling out,

"Come in."

Instantly, he smiled at Lucas who had just entered and stood there with a plate of cookies in one hand and a cup of milk in the other.

"Ooo! You brought cookies?!" Jungwoo asked in delight.

Lucas smiled at the reaction and nodded in confirmation.

"Yeah. I thought you'd be hungry after not eating for several hours and then you still had that nap," Lucas explained.

Seeing the other so happy for the cookies made Lucas feel filled with joy when he realized that Jungwoo was grateful for even the smallest things in life.

Jungwoo's smile faltered for a few seconds before asking very quietly, "I slept on- on you for very long, didn't I? I'm so, so sorry Lu, you really didn't have to stay there- there with me."

"That's okay. I already said I was fine with it. There's nothing wrong with what you did and if I had wanted to move, I would have."

Jungwoo smiled at the reassuring words and got up to take the food.

"Well, I'll leave the cookies and go now. Have a good night and sweet dreams Woo!"

"You're not going to- to stay here and eat the cookies with me?"

"No. I brought them just for you. Enjoy them by yourself."

"Well now I'll feel bad that you- you went through all that trouble just for me," Jungwoo pouted, his eyebrows furrowing.

Lucas stood facing the door and took a deep breath so he wouldn't get frustrated. His insides were beginning to squirm and being unable to decipher them was so problematic for his mind.

"As I said before, have a good night and enjoy the cookies I brought you."

Lucas continued to the door and grabbed the handle but he never managed to make it out. Jungwoo held onto his hand and looked at him with puppy eyes and that was enough to make Lucas cave right there and sigh out loud.

"Fine. I'll stay with you and eat the cookies."

"Yay!"

The two sat on the bed and ate cookies in silence as Jungwoo leaned against Lucas' side. Jungwoo stuffed the last cookie into Lucas' mouth without warning and quickly rested his head on the younger's shoulder.

"Good night Lu!"

And with that Jungwoo closed his eyes to have a good night's sleep but Lucas was feeling troubled. The pink-haired had fed him more cookies than he ate. He wasn't even sure if Jungwoo ate any at all now that he thought. He was too distracted with his mind and having cookies repeatedly stuffed into his mouth.
