(Y/N) POV

Me and Newton were working on trying to communicate with HQ. But without Tom, it's extremely hard

"Put the fuckin do hiccy over there," Newton says as he is about to blow a fuse

"But that's not what the manual says," I protest as his face turns red with anger

"It's where Tom puts it for talking to HQ," he says as I shrug and follow his orders

After a few painstaking hours, we finally get in contact

"Command, this is the Skeld, we have encountered a mission ending issue, and we are heading back home," Newton says as he pushes me out of the room and shuts the door

"Seriously," I mutter under my breath

"(Y/N)! Over here," Joseph yells as I walk to the cafeteria

"What's up?" I ask as he smiles

"Mind giving me a hand?" He asks as I nod

He walks around looking at the tables

"This one, I need help getting it to the other side of the ship," he says as I nod

We both pick it up on opposite ends and start walking

"Isn't it nice not to watch your back," he asks as I nod

"Yea, it's refreshing," I mutter as he nods

"Christy and I were getting dicey with each other. The stress really put a strain on our marriage," he says

"Well, I hope you two get back on the same wavelength," I say as he laughs

"Yea, I hope so too," he says

"So...got a girl waiting at home?" He asks as I blush a bit, not as if he could see anyway.

"No, I don't," I say

"Your joking," he says not believing me

"Seriously," I add as he goes quiet

"If I were you, I'll be looking at Olivia, she likes you a lot," he says as I laugh

"I doubt it. I was told by Jaren that she was a beauty, I doubt I'd get her attention in that way," I say as Joseph laughs

"You are right about one thing and one thing only, she is hot as hell. But I'm serious about her liking you," he adds as I shake my head

"I'm not lying. Both me and Christy have hung out with her before. And honestly, she gets treated like trash. Not I'm the traditional way of people bad-mouthing her. But in the way that everyone wants to be with you, so they end up doing stupid shit to catch her attention," he says as I nod

"As for you. You never have ever done something like that. You do your job and don't try to show off," he says

"I'm just doing my job. Besides, Newton does the same, and he's way better than I am," I say as Joseph drops the table and falls down killing himself laughing

"What!" I ask as he tries to stop but fails

"Dear ol Newt has a wife at home," he says as I blush from embarrassment

"How was I suppose to know," I say as Joseph gets back up

"I guess, it's not known very well. And frankly, he doesn't seem to be a guy who would have one," he says as I agree

"I mean, he seems pissed off all the time. Even before the parasite," I say as Joseph shakes his head

"Newt often has issues with the new recruits, he's a nice guy but he was taught to wip the new guys into shape," he says

"You shoulda seen him when Olivia was a newbie. She made sure he wasn't gonna push her around," he says as I laugh a bit

"I can imagine," I mutter as we reach our destination

"Thanks, dude, catch you later," he says as I nod

"Cya," I mutter as he walks away.

"Oh finally!" I hear a voice as I turn around. I see Christy as she stands looking at the table

"I've been asking for this to be put here for a while," she asks as I look around. We set it down literally against the wall in a hallway

"So why did we do this?" I ask her

"We deserve it to the family that died in here," she says as I nod. A little memorial for Jaren, Tom, and Kelly I guess"

"I got pictures of all them if you want to grab them," she says

"Yea, sure why not," I say as she gives me permission to go to her room and enter

I quickly found the pictures and left without looking at anything else.

"Here," I say handing them to her

"Thanks," she mutters

"Hopefully Newt calms down soon, he's still on edge about this entire thing," she says

"Yea," I mutter as I agree

"This is the first time we've lost a crew member with him in charge...much less 3," she says

"He must be taking it pretty hard," I say as she nods

"Yea, I think he blames himself," she says as she sets up the pictures

"Olivia also taking it hard, she was the Doctor of this adventure and 3 people were killed. Not much she could have done but still," she says as I agree.

"Well cya," I say as I walk around for an hour. I then head to the med bay to check on Olivia.

She was slouched in a chair. She must be sleeping

She suddenly jerked and it scared the hell out of me

"Good morning," she says with a sleepy voice

"You scared the hell out of me," I mutter underneath my breath as she lets out a giggle

"And it's not morning, it's afternoon," I say as she nods and sits up straight

"So did you get the comms working?" She asks

"Yea, Newton is talking with HQ," I say

"He should be done by now though," I say thinking

"Be arriving home soon I guess," she says as I agree with her. We only have about another 2 days until we get back home

"I don't think I'll be going on another one of these trips," she says. I can't blame her, not after what has happened.

"You and me are the same...I'm not sure either," I respond as she fiddles with something on my helmet

"You have something on your helmet," she mutters as she touches the leaf she gave me a while back

I see her hands as she retracts them...a smudge of blood

"Where'd that come from?" I ask as she shrugs

"Maybe some leftover blood from the struggle a day ago?" I continue

"No, the ship was clean...I made sure of it and you were as clean as could be," she says

"Then...where?" I ask as we both knew the answer

"Where were you before you came here?" She asks

"I talked with Christy and Joseph before I walked around for an hour, before that I was helping Newt," I say as she walks out of the room

"If your leaf collected it...it must be on the ceiling," she says looking up.

It didn't take long

In a place where you'd need to be looking to see it, we found another bloody corpse silently connected to the roof.

Another person died

We aren't safe

There's still an imposter Among Us
