(Y/N) POV

So, as soon as we get rid of Kelly. We should be able to go back home.

But how? We surely aren't stronger than it...maybe together though? Even then. It's risky, we might be able to overpower it if we all work together

"You thinking what I'm thinking?" Newton asks me

"Yea. Probably," I say as he nods

"We should snag weapons and chase it out of the ship," he says

"Yea, we can't go out there empty-handed," Christy says as I nod

"Agreed, you saw how it went after Olivia, it targets the weakest in the room at the time," I say as they all nod

"It might be best to lure it out and then ambush it," I say as they all continue nodding

"Ok," Newton says thinking before looking at Olivia

"Does this monster have any weaknesses?" Newton asks Olivia as she does stuff with a microscope

"This substance is flammable," she says as Newton looks at me

"You got a lighter?" He asks as I shake my head

"I got one," Joseph says as he passes Newton a lighter.

"Ok, any compressed gases?" He asks as we all shrug

"Let's hope this is enough then," he asks as the power suddenly goes off.

"Shit," Newton whispers

"I can't see anything," Olivia complains

"We can't attack that thing blind," Newton says as I nod

"I'll get it," I mutter

"K," was all Newton said before I heard the door open, my heart stops as I think it's the monster

"Come on, get going," he whispers as I start making my way to the electrical room

My eyes adapted a bit to the dark. The ship was making noises and I was jumping at every creak and crack.

I reached the room and found the control panel for the lights. All the switches were off. I slowly started flipping them all up. And the power came back on

"Thank god," I say as I turn around.

At the doorway, a black ugly-looking thing was staring at me. It found me.

My heart stops as I looked around, any way to get out alive. My eyes settled on a vent. I looked at the creature as it continued to stand there. Even if I did make it to the vent, I doubt that it is loose

I curse under my breath as it started walking toward me.

"Shit, shit, shit, shit!" I whisper.

"I give up," I say as I hold up my hands. My only hope is to dodge it at the last second

I waited for it to get closer...and closer...and closer. That's when it lunged for me.

I drop to the floor as it smashes the wall above me. I jump to get away from it and I manage to scramble to my feet as I start running the fastest I ever have.

I passed the medical room. I would dive into the room with the others. But I know the monster is on my tail

"Help!" I yell as I pass the room to tell them I'm being chased. I'm sure they would have figured it out with the footsteps anyway

I run to the cafeteria before I started running out of breath.

As I run to exit the room, I tripped on a broomstick and smashed my head against the floor as I tumbled down.

I could feel blood running down my face as when I struck the floor my face bashed against my helmet.

I lied there for a brief moment. I knew it was on top of me.

I looked above me, and sure enough, it was hovering over me.

"Welp, I'm dead," I mutter as I watch it start to descend on me. Then the monster suddenly shot back as my vision fills with flames.

It didn't take long for me to realize that I'm on fire. My skin starts heating up as the suit does its best job to keep the flame from burning my skin.

I start rolling around trying to put out the fire. It wasn't until a bucket of water drenched me that I stopped

"Thanks for the help," I say as I clear my visor

"We got it off the ship," Newton says as I breathe a sigh of relief

"Thank god," I say as I just lay here

"I thought you were a goner after it got on top of you," Christy says as I laugh

"Me too," I agree

"Call us the monster hunters," Newton jokes. I guess we are safe now.

"Yea, it feels nice not having to worry about watching my back," I say as they all agree

"Are you bleeding?" Olivia asks as I remember I hit my head pretty good

"Yea, I bashed my head pretty bad," I say as she grabs my arms and drags me up from laying on the ground

"Let's get that fixed," she says leading me to the med bay.

She cleared off her operating table and made me sit on it

"Sorry, but you'll have to take off that helmet, I got oxygen ready for you after you take it off," she says as I nod

I feel her uncouple my helmet as the cold air hits my face. Quickly, she puts a breathing apparatus on me and starts wiping away with a cloth

"Jee, you really are handsome," she says as I blush

"Awww, are you embarrassed," she teases me as I roll my eyes and she laughs

"You got a pretty good cut," she says

"I'm not sure if it will be fine without stitches," she adds on

"Great, I get to have a string in my forehead," I mutter as she laughs

" A bandage might be enough," she says as she looks closely. I could almost see her face through the dark tint of the helmet. I could see the basic shape but not the details. It looked relatively average. Maybe on the leaner side. That's all I could see

"Are you checking me out?" She starts teasing again

"Of course not...and even if I was you can't see passed the tint," I say as she laughs

"It's my little secret," she adds as she starts wrapping a bandage around my head

"There, good enough," she says as I hear the engines turn on

"Looks like we headed home now," I say as she connects my helmet back to my suit

"Yea, looks like it," she mutters sadly

"You still sad about Kelly aren't you?" I ask as she nods

"I can't believe I was getting cozy with that thing...I mean, I didn't even notice she was different," Olivia says as I nod

"I don't think any of us noticed...I mean I put up her different behaviour to be because she just lost her dad...but I guess not," I say as I remember Tom has now died

"And poor Tom," I say as Olivia agrees

"At least he will get a proper burial," I say

"Yea," Olivia says

"I just feel that this isn't the end you know?" I say

"Yea, I have that feeling too. Who knows maybe we will be on the same ship again in the future," she says

"Yea...Maybe,"

(A/N): Oh man I had the best idea while writing this...couldn't it be a twist where this was all virtual reality and our characters suddenly wake up to find out no one actually died...that would be a pretty good twist eh? I decided not to go for it, but I might just write a Among Us one-shot where that happens. Either way, hope you enjoyed the part and I hope you continue liking future parts as well.
