(Y/N) POV

I smile bittersweetly as I look at the suit.

"Here," the person says as they push it toward me wanting me to take it

"Oh sorry, about that," I say as I grab the white suit

It's been 4 years since the Skeld incident. A lot has changed

First off, I've been a crewmate of multiple other ships. I have quite the experience under my belt now

The Skeld was repaired and put back into service 6 months after we returned.

As for the parasites, our research division has been working extensively to combat them.

In recent years, the number of infections onboard ships has risen. Our ship was only the beginning.

Some ships return...most don't.

All I know, is I haven't been a victim to them again...not yet at least.

I put the body of the suit on and look at the helmet.

I fasten the fake leaf I have to the helmet...it's my lucky charm

I'm surprised it's still in one piece, the green leaf was fading in colour a bit. And the structure of it was a little beat up, but I cherish it more than anything.

Let's stay safe

I walk onboard the ship as I await a reunion that is sure to happen. The Skeld, this is my first time boarding it since we returned 4 years ago.

I spot an Orange suit waiting for me at the boarding ramp

"Ah Newt," I say with a smile as he laughs

"Long time no see (Y/N)," he says as we hug.

Newton has become one of 4 official Commanders for the Skeld. He usually works for a quarter of the year and then it's his off days for the rest of the year as other commanders work.

Since the parasites started attacking our ships, the pay for each trip has increased by a lot.

"I'm surprised you signed up," Newt says as I nod

"I am too, but it's not every day the research team needs samples from the damn monsters," I say as he nods

"Yea, the crew is shaping up to be an interesting one," he says as we head to the cafeteria

The ship was practically the same as I remembered it being

"Nothing has really changed," Newt says as I nod.

"Brings back memories," I mutter

"I never woulda thought you'd still be packing that leaf around," he says as I laugh

"It's a lucky charm, I'm not dead yet so I think it's working," I tell him as he nods

We passed the medical bay and I stopped to look inside.

It feels weird. Olivia had always been in there.

"It's hard to forget," he says as I nod

"I don't want to forget," I say as I look at him

"I see that," he says as he pokes the leaf on top of my helmet

"Leave it alone," I say as we laugh as we continue.

We finally arrived at the cafeteria, and I could see all 6 other crewmates were present

"I see we all are here," Newt announces as I sit down at the table and let him do his thing.

He did the usual thing. Tell everyone what the mission is. And the rules.

I scanned the room, and my eyes refused to separate away from a Cyan suit.

Over the past 4 years, I've had a lot of time to think.

No doubt in my mind...I loved Olivia.

Even though I saw her real face at the end...when I picture her in my head, I think of her Cyan suit colour.

I force my eyes away as I look at the other colours. Red, Blue, Black, Green, and Purple.

I remember them all like the people who were inside 4 years ago.

Of course, I'm used to it by now. After all, I've been on countless other ships now, all with similar colours but with small changes.

But maybe the fact that we are on the Skeld is different.

"And that's a finish," Newton says as I snap back into reality.

"The launch will happen shortly," he says as he leaves to do something.

I look at the ship as I recognize more and more similarities

"It really hasn't changed," I mutter as I feel a tap on my shoulder

I turn to see its Purple

"Hey there," a man's voice says

"Hello," I greet him

"I noticed you were staring at my friend over there...do you have any issues?" He asks as he points to Cyan

"Oh, no it's nothing," I say as he laughs

"I figured as much, but you can't be too careful these days," he says as a nod

"I'm Dawson by the way," he says

"(Y/N)," I say as he goes silent

"You mean the (Y/N) from 4 years ago," he asks surprised as I nod

"Wow, we get both veterans from the first incident," he says

"I wouldn't call me and Newt veterans," I say as he shakes his head

"You guys literally have your own chapter in our textbooks at the academy," he says as I laugh a bit

Another thing that's changed, is that we have a full-time academy for going on a mission for space flight. A lot of the book now is finding out who the parasite might be if they get on your ship.

"Is this your first flight?" I ask him as he laughs

"Not quite, it's my 2nd though," he says as I nod

"What about your friend?" I ask looking at Cyan

"Oh, you mean Petra, this is her first time. But we've been friends forever," he says as I nod

"Petra eh," I mutter so quietly that he can't hear

"What about the others?" I ask as he thinks

"Green was Louis, I think at least. Black is Nate, Jayden is the Red one. Ummmm...I think Blue is Tia," he finishes

"Thank you," I say as the announcement starts going off to prepare for lift-off.

Here we go again
