"Who are you writing to?" I asked. Anne just tied an envelope to an Owl's talon and it flew away. 

"Let's just say it's a little present before returning to Hogwarts tomorrow." she smiled. 

"A present?"

"The year before you came. My fourth year. I had a friend named Mekenzie who graduated that year. I lost touch with her since our 6th year. She invited me to a party."

"That's great! We need to figure out what to wear and stuff. Ooh! I have the perfect earrings for that green dress of yours. When are you leaving?" I asked excitedly. 

"You're coming too Cass."

"Me?"

"Yeah..."

"I don't even know this Mekenzie!"

"Exactly. She said that I could bring someone along. You can meet her."

"Great!" I didn't even know a Mekenzie existed. Anne never mentioned her before.

Sirius was still mad at me about yesterday, and there was no way he was going to let me go the party. So I asked Remus who agreed, when we assured him that we would be back by 8. 

We decided what to wear and exchanged small jewelry and stuff to match our dresses. Anne wore a indigo coloured dress that reached to her knee, while I wore a black fit and flare wrap top with white pants. 

We then apparated to a park near Mekenzie's house. Mekenzie was a half blood and lived in a muggle town, and we were told to appear at the park so that no one notices. We walked the 5 minutes to her house, in which I tripped and almost sprained my ankle. 

Anne knocked on the door and a girl about her height with a long pixie cut opened the door. 

"Oh my god Anna! It's been so long."

"Hey Evie." she greeted with a hug. "This is Cassie." she said introducing me. We stepped inside and closed the door. 

They girl named Evie shouted down the hall, "Kenzie! Your Lizzy is here." 

"Lizzy?" I asked Anne. "Annalise. Lise. Lizzy. Get it?" she asked laughing a bit. 

"Yeah... Looks like you got a lot of fri-"

"Izzy! Hey! Long time no see." said a girl who I think was Mekenzie. She had shoulder length hair which was a mix of black on the top and pink on the bottom.

"Hey Zee. This is Cass." she said putting a hand on my shoulder. 

She looked at me and said, "This is Mekenzie."

There were about 20 people in this house and about half of them knew Anne by the looks on their faces. 

"Hi Mekenzie. Nice t-" I started but was cut of by her. "Come on Izzy there are so many people waiting for you." Anne was dragged away by her into the crowd, and Anne mouthed a Sorry as she stumbled across the room. 

It was only 4 pm and we had about 4 hours ahead of us. Anne stuck with me whenever she could but she was often dragged away by Mekenzie. For some reason, I really hated Mekenzie. Almost all the people were older than me by 2 years. I met 3 people who I knew because they were the same year as I am, and were in Hufflepuff. They left at 6 though because they had to go somewhere else. 

It was quite awkward after that. I couldn't find Anne in the crowd and I stood in the corner sipping on some orange juice. 

"Hey.. You're Cassandra right?" asked a girl. She had black bushy curly hair (which I loved) and wore a yellow top. 

"No.. I'm Cassie. Cassie Smith." I said with a smile. 

"Oh. Sorry" she laughed. "Kenzie told that your name was Cassandra."

"Well she went wrong." I laughed. But I was really annoyed. I had the most basic name ever. Who ever forgets the name Cassie?

"So... How long have you two been dating?"

"Sorry?" I asked confused. 

"You and Anne." she said as if it's the most obvious thing. 

"Oh... no...." I disagreed. "We're not dating."

"You're not?"

"Nope. Why?"

"So is it like a hidden love forever kinda thing?"

"What?! Sorry I'm not catching up."

"Anne clearly likes you." she said and I started laughing. "Anne likes me?" I sighed. 

"What did I say?" she asked. 

"We're just friends. Besides I already have a boyfriend."

"That doesn't mean you don't like her."

I was fed up and went back to sipping my juice ignoring this girl. "It's the way she looks at you." she said. "Looks at me?" I asked. 

"You really should pay attention to eyes." she said. 

"Eyes?"

"Eyes tell the truth. Even the ones we try to hide." 

I didn't like this one bit. I really wanted to have some fun and now I'm getting serious stuff told to me. I laughed and excused my self from her. 

Mekenzie then called everyone for a movie, and Anne made me sit with her in the front while Mekenzie put in the movie tape into the projector. 

"Hey Cassandra can you turn of the lights?" she asked sweetly. 

"It's Cassie. And I can do it." said Anne and went to get up, but she held her arm. "Sit down Lizzy.. Cassan- Cassie has no problems right?" she asked looking at me. At this point all eyes were on me and I was feeling a bit embarrassed by all the attention.

"Yeah sure. No problem." I faked a smile and went the back of the room to switch it off. When I came back however, my seat was taken by Mekenzie. It was a movie that I already watched in the future, and I wasn't a fan. Or maybe it was partially because I hated Mekenzie.

I went outside the door and sat on the chair that was just outside the door. I made small butterflies and then made them vanish. Did Lumos and Nox like 20 times. It was getting cold so I went inside. I ate some popcorn, and then checked the clock to see that it was 7:55. 

We should go back now or Sirius won't even let me got to Hogwarts at this point. But neither was Anne or Mekeknzie there. 

"Hi. Umm... do you know where Anne is?" I asked to the girl who sat next to them. She shrugged and so I went to the girl who was at the back. She said that Anne went upstairs. It was silent and dark upstairs which made it a bit creepy. But I heard talking coming from the door in the end of the small corridor. 

I heard Anne's voice so I opened the door. The sight made me kinda mad and upset for some reason. And also made we want to throw up some of the popcorn that I ate earlier. I immediately closed the door just as fast as I had opened, it and walked down the corridor. 

When I closed the door I heard a thud, and then Anne was following me. I stopped on the top of the stairs and told her. "We should get going. It's almost 8."

Anne said a good bye to everyone in the room and followed me out the door. We then started slowly walking back to the park. "Cass?"

"Yeah?"

"What's wrong?" she asked. 

"Nothing's wrong. It was good to see all your friends." I said. 

She stopped walking and turned my body to face her. "If nothing's wrong, then why are you upset?"

"I'm not upset. Just tired from the party." 

"I know you well... Look I know that Kenzie wasn't really warm towards you. I don't know why. I wish-"

"I don't care about her. Everything's fine." Why am I even upset in the first place?

"Look if it's about me and Mekenzie in the room upstairs-"

"I said I don't mind. Really. Why do I mind if you both snogged?"

"We didn't snog. We just kissed. And I pushed her aside either way."

"I really don't care Anne! It's fine. Let's go home."

"Fine. I have to clear up somethings when we reach home."

"How was the party?" asked Sirius as we came back. 

"It was good. Great popcorn." I said. "You're not mad at me anymore?" I asked him. 

"I cooled him down." said Remus. "Wait you're still here?" I asked Remus. He said he would leave today after 5. 

"Wait! Did you just go to a party for like 5 hours and the only you thing you liked was popcorn?" asked Sirius. 

"I didn't know anyone. But it wasn't bad. I liked it." I smiled. 

"Go freshen up. Molly send something to eat." said Sirius as he went into the kitchen.

"Okay Cass. I don't care if you're upset or happy. But I'm telling you my story."

"Fine. But make it quick. I can smell Molly's food from up here."

"I and Mekenzie became friends since my first day at Hogwarts. I was in 1st year and she was in 4th year. We became closer and in my 3rd year we started dating. We broke up about 2 months before final exams."

"Why?" I asked. They dated?! Now that's new information. 

"It didn't work out for me. The age gap was just 3 years but I felt like something was missing. She was really upset by it. We decided to stay friends, and then we lost touch. And now I'm meeting her at the party after a long time." she sighed. 

"Explains her behaviour. She definitely didn't move on."

"What?"

"She was getting very touchy with you."

"It was uncomfortable." Anne said. 

"But you kissed her."

"One moment we were talking, and the next she was on me. Just as our lips touched you came in and I pushed her aside. I swear!"

"I said I don't mind. Why would I?"

"I don't know. I- I just don't want you to think that I like her."

"I understand. But if you ever date anyone tell me. I want to meet them, and tell them to make sure you're okay." I smiled. 

"Sure." she laughed.

We all enjoyed dinner and I was on dish duty. I kept the last plate on the drying rack when Remus came with a letter. "I almost forgot. Felicia Bones sent a letter. Came here around 7 o'clock." 

"Thanks." I said and dried my hands. I took the letter and ran upstairs. Anne just laid down in bed when I came in. 

"Sleeping early?" I asked. "I'm going with Remus to my house to collect some stuff for school. Have to wake up early." she answered. 

"I got a letter from Draco."

"What is it?"

I opened the letter and read through. "He's asking me to meet him at a muggle hotel."

"A muggle hotel? When?"

"9."

"It's already 9:30." she said looking at the clock in our room. 

"Then I better go now. Make up some excuse where I am will you?"

"Where can I possibly say you went at night?!" she asked. 

"The washroom.. Garden... Something. It won't take long."

She agreed and I slowly sneaked out the house when Anne 'accidently' blasted a song on high volume.

I went to the hotel and looked around the lobby for a familiar face. But he was no where in a sight. I went to the reception and asked, "Do you have someone here by the name Felicia Bones?" 

"Sorry we don't." she replied. 

"What about someone named Draco Malfoy?" I asked again. 

"Sorry but we can't disclose the information of any of our customers. And also, no person by that name here." she said. 

Did he leave? How do I contact him? I went the washroom and casted a patronous and sent it to him. "Where the heck are you? I'll wait near the reception." 

In a few minutes I saw the familiar face of Draco Malfoy but with brown hair. 

"Hi!" he said. I replied with a hi back and we questioned each other to make sure we weren't people in disguise. He said the brown haired wig was to cover his iconic blonde hair. 

"It's about your guardian. And my uncle."

"Sirius?" I asked but he shushed me. He looked around a bit paranoid and then said. "I don't trust here. Let's go to the room I booked." 

"You took a room?"

"Yes... So?"

"But the reception said there was no Draco Malfoy."

"Do you expect me to give my real name?"

"Well then Felicia B-"

"Did you ever see a guy with the name Felicia Bones?" he asked rolling his eyes.

"Nope." Now I understand. 

We took the elevator upstairs. "So what name did you give?"

"Tom Smith."

"Did you just steal my last name?"

"Smith is a common name." He said as he unlocked the door. We got inside and we sat down to get serious about Sirius. 

"Around next week some death eaters are gonna kidnap Sirius."

"Wha- How?"

"I'm not sure. They said something about writing a letter as one of his friends and telling him to meet them at some place. I couldn't hear much."

"So I have to stop him from going? Perhaps bust those death eaters?"

"Yes and No. Stop him. But no order or attacks. They'll know for sure that someone snitched on them."

"I'll tell him to turn down the offer then. Tell him that it's a trick. But no order attacks."

"Sounds good to me. No matter what the Death Eaters shouldn't know about me and you." he warned. 

"I'm not that dumb." I said and then we split our ways back home.

"But from where did you get all this details?" asked Sirius once I told him about the secret (now not secret) plan of the Death Eaters. 

"Let's just say that I have an eye there."

"Thanks for the heads up. Now get to bed. Anne told you were sick." he said and urged me to go sleep.
